Probably not a fair review because we only had a cheese board, appetizer and wine. But a solid 4 to maybe 3.5 stars for us. Came in Saturday for lunch 2/4/17. The biggest problem was that they severely skipped on the cheese board with charcuterie. We really should have complained but didnt. The board wasnt a board at all but just a long plate. there were 2 cheese mini wedges, no blue cheese, no pickled items, a small bowl of olives, 2 kinds of meat, a thing of honey and jelly (who cares) and then a ton of cheap grapes to fill up the plate (stupid). If you look at the pictures of the cheese boards that others have had here on Yelp, you will see an actual board (so you can slice the cheese (duh)) and a ramekin of the yummy pesto, not a tiny bowl). Anyways we felt like we got shafted, so they lost a star there. Next time, we will make sure that they get it right. The Avocado toast was excellent and yummy. Very well done! Of course they know their wines and they have great selection (albeit a bit expensive). I always feel like I should be able to get a half-way decent Cab for $50 at a neighborhood restaurant but thats not an option here. Service was friendly, accommodating and timely. The place is very cute, glad that dont have a hostess stand BTW, would take away from the at home feeling you get when you walk in. It was a bit cold until the heater came on (no biggie), and overall we were very comfortable. We really wish we could have stayed longer and tried some other items. We look forward to coming back

First time we went there, we seated ourselves as there was no one to greet us. We were a group of five and two joined a bit later. After a while someone came out from the back and explained to us how to help ourselves. The next time we went, about a month later, there was a group in a back room that was very loud. They were in a separate room and obviously enjoying themselves. It added to the atmosphere. The third time our group met there, we were celebrating one members birthday. One of our group has a particularly loud voice and we were enjoying ourselves without being overly loud, but a group of old ladies arrived and apparantly complained. Instead of moving that group - or ours- to another room, the people of Pattis asked us to keep it down. That was a year ago and needless to say, we havent been back. Its charming to look at, but the charm ends there. The muffins are nice, the salads are nice but nothing so spectacular as to put up with being made unwelcome. There are other fun, charming places in Plano to brunch and lunch.

I agree. Having grown up in the south and visited many Tea Rooms, my experience at Pattis Place was a let down. There was no one to greet us upon arrival and no one said anything to us as we exited after eating a ridulously high priced sandwich with nothing else on the plate but a small section of a strawberry and a thin slice of cantaloupe. They could have very easily halved the sandwich and added chips or a small pasta salad and the meal would have been much more satisfying. The people we did encounter were very friendly. However the decor was also very sad. In a tea room, one expects to fine antique furnishings not BBQ style tables with blue jean placemats. Wont be back anytime soon.

I tried this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere is great. Food was really good especially the Spinach Dip and Crab cakes. Dessert was really, really small. It tasted good but was way too small for the price. I wouldn’t advise going here if you are in a hurry. It is a very laid back place and it took a while to get our food. It might have been a long wait because they had a large group there at the same time, but I think they should plan for that and have enough people working in the kitchen to get the food out faster. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. I will go here again and recommend to my friends..

This is no longer "Pattis Place". It is now "Sip N Savor", new owners, new type of restaurant. I eat out a lot and visit many restaurants. In my opinion Sip N Savor does a great job. They are not a chain or part of several restaurants. This is a one location only. The Wells Family Homestead has been well kept and makes for a unique and friendly dining experience. Here you can expect fine dining food quality and presentation moderately priced. The wines are very good but not overly expensive. I gvie them "5 STARS".

Ive eaten here for weekend brunch, weekday lunch and also for dinner. Its not inexpensive, but the food is really delicious and well presented with quality ingredients. The owners are delightful and really know their wines. I love the ambiance of the old historic home, and am looking forward to warm weather so we can dine al fresco. If I could change one thing, those straight back wooden chairs are some of the least comfy chairs ever. Next time Im bringing my own pillow to sit on, as I have back issues.

My (now) husband and I had a very small, simple wedding ceremony and reception here. The owner was very helpful throughout the whole process. They rented out the whole building to us for the time we were there. They set up the ceremony area and then had us move to another room to have the reception. The whole event went smoothly and was just perfect. The food was fantastic and everyone loved the wine. I couldnt have asked for a better place to be with friends for our special moment.

My girlfriend and I came here last night and it was an awesome experience. Friendly attentive (but not too up in your business) wait staff, locally sourced ingredients put together and presented beautifully. The manager checked on us a few times and the whole place has a nice warm feel to it. Delicious food, unpretentious atmosphere, reasonable prices, cool inside. Fancy-feeling but wont make you uncomfortable if youre just a regular Joe/Jill. We will definitely be back

I really want this place to be awesome, great setting, cute concept and good service. Unfortunately the food was disappointing both times we went and very overpriced. Hope this place gets a better chef. The beet starter is good, the crab cakes are very good but the short ribs and scallops (which were recommended as the best things on the menu) were both bland. The gnocchi is also disappointing. The creme brule was a nice end to the meal to be fair.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Sip and Savor last night. We were graciously greeted at the door and were immediately seated downstairs. We attended their Sip Early Happy Hour, enjoying a new and interesting Grenache, and ended up staying for dinner. The menu was unique and wonderfully prepared. Their staff was attentive and and knowledgeable. We will certainly be going back! We strongly recommend reservations!
