I had to update my review from 5 to 1 star. I have lived in Hendersonville for 5 years and when I first moved here until about a year ago the service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. If I was going to spend the money to eat out, this was my first choice in the area. Now the staff is rude. The first issue I had was when I went in and go to order my food and the girl working the counter looks and me irritated and says we are not open yet. I was so confused because the door was unlocked. It was 5 min until they open. I walked out of there and didnt return for 9 months. When I decided to give them another chance I encountered the same rude girl and I dont now if it was the food but my son and I got horribly ill after eating it. 26Aug2017 Tried Saxs again. And it is an extreme disappointment. My husband went to grab food and it was close to closing. Ordered the Cheddar bacon burger and the bacon is burnt and the onions are dry and hard to chew. It is so sad that this establishment has declined so much. Used to be one of my favorite/weekly places. Not sure I will bother trying to eat here ever again.

Sax Deli, simply put, has the best sandwich menu Ive experienced in any city. If youre looking for a big city deli experience packaged in a smaller city environment, Sax Deli is for you. Their sandwiches are amazing. Their portion sizes are large. Their prices are the best in the Nashville area for the quality and portions of what you receive. Their dining experience is top notch. I just cannot fully express how much I love to eat at this restaurant anytime Im with a client or meeting a business associate.

Just called to place a to-go order. She heard me ask for a Reuben and fries, she asked if I would like a drink, I said no, she asked if I wanted small fries or large fries, I said large. She said Im sorry? I said large, then I heard her turn to someone else and say, "Oh well I cant hear him with you guys talking" and she hung up the phone. Guess she didnt want my business. Ill go somewhere else.

I had the hot brown Panini. Turkey, tomatoes, bacon and cheese spread served hot. It was good. It gets busy during lunch so there may be a line for ordering, but the food comes quickly so dont be discouraged. Theres lots to choose from. They have vegetarian and kids options. Plenty of parking. The fries are good, but there are a lot of small ones so I suggest getting a fork for them.

Ate here for the first time last Saturday. The Reuben was really really good. Only complaint is the sandwich was a little skimpy. Tons and tons of great fries, even in a small order, but Id like to see a little more meat on the sammy! Already been back once and got the mushroom burger. Ill stick with the sandwiches as the burger was just a burger.

Pleasantly surprised- huge menu! Food was great and came out quick!! I had the feta chicken sub with fries and my husband had the Rachel with feta pasta salad. The only things I would change was how soupy the pasta salad was and the type of bread the feta sub was on. The white bread was a little soggy. The fries were amazing!! Well be back soon!

My son and I have eaten here many many times over the years and have always had a good experience. The food is awesome with a menu thats literally dozens of feet long (its on the wall). My favorite is the Philly Steak Sandwich with fries, and they always give me more fries than I can reasonably finish. The sweet tea is excellent, too.

Good, quick and fresh! A small rendered more fries than I anticipated and they had such a good crunch! The Cajun chicken club is great with just enough spice so as to not make it too spicy to enjoy. The cashier was helpful with recommendations and suggestions since this was my first visit and everything sounded so delicious!

I love the multiple options of sandwiches here and being a vegetarian/vegan they also have a Veggie and a housemate blackbean burger as well that is with it. The fries sometimes I dont like because the amount of the tiny fires you get over the larger fries in your "sack" of fries

I was really impressed with this place. I got the chipotle cheesesteak combo. It was great. Fast service despite the huge crowd. Inside is small and noisy when full. Tip: share an order of fries. Theyre very generous with them.

We had our first less than stellar visit here. They switched our sandwiches up after being so specific about giving us the correct sandwich at the table. I have food allergies that my husband doesnt so this is a problem.
