I ordered chopped barbecue sandwich. I was eating it and had hair in my sandwich. I called and I guess it was the manager I talked to. I proceeded to tell him I had a take out order and found hair in my food. He ask me if I wanted to replace the sandwich or get my money back for the sandwich. I didnt want another sandwich so I ask for my money back. I told him I would come back tomorrow because I didnt have time to come back today. Then he ask me if I was sure it was hair and not barbecue. I think I know the difference between hair and not hair. He said he has the best barbecue around, I beg to differ. He also acted as if I was lying and said a lot of people call him saying something was wrong with there food. Well if a lot of people are calling maybe something is really wrong with the food. Whatever happen to the customer is right. Called customer service. I will never give my business to this restaurant again and if any one reads this you might want to take your business elsewhere.

This restaurant was a lot better than expected; Id go back again. With bottomless refilled of sweet tea or soda, he portions at this joint are generous and the bbq is not super vinegar-y. The slaw, however, is pure cabbage and vinegar. While the few bites of the slaw were tolerable, this item is the only reason I have this location 4 stars. I got the chopped pork, which someone else included a picture of already. It looks like a bunch of mashed food with fries, and it is sweet and tangy. The plate also came with hush puppies. My husband ordered the Friday combo special, which could easily feed two people. The combo came with ribs, chopped pork and a choice of two sides; he got the baked beans and potato salad. The potato salad was awesome--if you fan trade out the slaw for the potato salad, do it. Although the waitresses wear t-shirts and sweat pants, the service reflected foot old Southern hospitality.

Pork BBQ in North Carolina is a religion and I worship at the altar and pay my tithes here. I grew up on BBQ from another restaurant in the area but one I ate here, I never went back to he other. I brought my parents here and they too never went back to the other. Ill admit I dont get the chopped BBQ but rather I get my BBQ coarse-chopped (chunky) and outside-brown (the meat cooked next to the fire. It is fantastic. You have to ask for it. Their BBQ chicken is the best you can buy anywhere and they run Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday specials on the chicken at that time. Fries are OK, hush puppies, good but not the best ever. Im here for the outside-brown or the chicken. Their BBQ slaw is diced very small, a real plus. Ask for the dipping sauce for whatever you order if you like spicy. This location is a bit of a dive but their location on highway 68 is larger and more modern. Country BBQ is the best!

I use to like and have much respect for Country Barbecue, but yesterday when I left the restaurant I left with my head held low and feeling like i was not being treated as a loyal customer. I am a young gay man who has worked to my position in life and education and very much enjoy where i am. But yesterday one of the co owners Mr. McPhearson was extremely unprofessional and crude. He was standing in his restaurant at a table full of people making jokes about gay people and then continuing on to listen to that table make more jokes and jokes about crippled people. I felt that as myself being a young business owner my rights were worthless to him and he had no respect for people like myself. I am sorry to say I will not be returning to County Barbecue as I am ashamed to do business with an organization that has such low policy and little respect for so many American people.

long waits. rude workers. after waiting in line for 20 mins I order 3 meals and a kids meal. I asked if the kids meal came with fries she said yes. thank god I checked the bag because she was wrong apparently even though the online menu for wendover says they have kids menu. its a lie and they dont follow what they put online. the "manager" continued to yell and belittle me telling me Im dumb and need to read the right location. after showing that it says Greensboro location menu with their address I then ask for a refund. he proceeds to walk away and tells me I can come inside if I want that. sorry but Ive already wasted 30 mins in a drive thru to be yelled at. no thanks!!!

I guess the dusty dead fly on the chair rail should have been a clue. But, we were very hungry, so we stayed. The unsweet tea was only mildly less sweet than Pepsi, even after we asked the waitress to replace it. The brunswick stew was more like a soup, and the beef ribs were overcooked. The chopped pork was only average, and the chicken completely unremarkable. We do know our Q. Prissy Pollys in Kernersville and Gordys in High Point are both topnotch small restaurants. Country Bar-B-Que, however, will never see us darken its doorway again.

The chopped BBQ is amazing! It is tender and juicy and has great flavor! The hushpuppies are by far the best I have ever tasted - crunchy outside, slightly sweet inside with just the right amount of savory flavor - perfect bite-size nuggets of goodness! Add to that perfect sweet tea, amazing service, great slaw and low prices, making this is by far the best BBQ experience ever! Only word of warning - if youre not a fan of spicy steer clear of the BBQ sauce - the mild is spicy and I cant speak to the hot because I didnt dare try it!

Well, barbecue is what I love and I should have known something was up because I didnt see any smoke coming out of the smoker. The food was just okay. The barbecue sauce well the extra I asked for was either not barbecue sauce or just too spicy. The chicken was not seasoned but the skin was good. The ribs were good but didnt taste like they were grilled. The peach cobbler? I didnt even finish it. I probably wont eat here again until they lower those prices. They charge too much for what they are selling.

The service via phone order was terrible. It was quite over priced for the quality of food we got as well as I ordered a large peach cobbler and gallon of tea, never got it and have been waiting for THREE days to speak to a manager or someone with a brain to let me know "IF" I can either receive or be refunded for these items. Did I mention this was our first time? The bbq was dried out like it was old. Hush pups were at least hot. And cant tell you how everything else was because I NEVER GOT IT!

Best BBQ out there. I was raised on BBQ and moved away from the area at the age of 12. Im almost 50 and still have family in the area. I make a point to stop and eat even if Im just passing through. Ive eaten BBQ just about everywhere in North Carolina as well as all surrounding states. Some places come close (Parkers, Stameys, Clark Brothers...you know who you are) but Country BBQ is the real deal. Dont be fooled by the paper plates and older decor. Its good down home BBQ at its best.
