During my visit today I was very unhappy with the food and service. I was given a dirty table, a very small portion, and waited forever for a refil. When I asked to speak with the manager he told me he was busy and would need to come back. He never did, and since I was one of 3 couples in the restaurant at the time and he was talking to the sushi chef, I didnt believe him. When I gave the server my credit card it was returned with the tip already included even though I hadnt even received the first copy to fill out the tip. There are plenty of other hibachi restaurants in town please do yourself a favor and avoid this one.

I love love love this place! The price is absolutely affordable and the food is incredibly delicious. I usually call to order and pick up some take-out to bring home for me and my husband. This place is truly a hole in the wall, as it isnt super popular. But it is very delicious and quality. I hope it gets the attention that is deservingly needs! I highly recommend Mai for any casual cravings of Asian cuisine.

Mai has super fresh food and great service. The portions are ample and the dining room is bright and clean. With the choice of fried, white or brown rice and sauces on the side, its easy for me to stick to my health goals and still fill up on deliciously seasoned food. Thanks for setting up shop in the university area! Mai will be seeing a lot of us.

Lived in N.Y. and L.A. for many years, had sushi at some of the finest places in the world. Mai ranks right up there with the best. Ive known Mina and the group for years, wonderful people, always happy, friendly an make dining a pleasure. Best sushi in the Charlotte area period!!!!!

MY FOOD WAS BURNT AND HORRIBLE.. THEY ARE WAY TOO PRICEY FOR THE LITTLE AMOUNT OF FOOD THEY GIVE YOU AND THE SUSHI WAS HORRIBLE ALSO! I WILL NEVER EAT FROM THAT PLACE EVER AGAIN!!!!
