Let me just say, I have been going to Fancy Q frequently since LITERALLY the day they opened, and things have been going downhill since. The only good waiter left is Jason and you pretty much need his service to guarantee a decent meal. Its chaotic, loud, and disorganized inside the restaurant; and Ive noticed many workers unaware of what to do. Waiters dont clear my table, forget parts of my order, or blatantly ignore and act rudely towards me. I used to love the place and ate there every week (sometimes more), but every time I go there now I get more and more disappointed. The food is good and pretty much the only reason I go anymore. Id recommend getting take-out, but they screw that up too. Its just sad!

Excellent sushi, family of 5 had about 8-10 specialty roles.Everybody enjoyed their food. great value. Fancy though does not apply to the decor and setting.Service also was a bit uneven, but nothing awful, will chalk that up to the newness of the place. wine was on the low end, would have preferred a better selection on that also. However as a family that eats sushi weekly we all liked the flavors & freshness of the fish. If you like sushi and dont mind the most basic of settings take the drive and try it out.

I didnt think it was possible to mess up an avocado roll, but somehow this restaurant did the impossible. To put it nicely, the avocado tasted like soggy cardboard. The avocado was very obviously old and dried as though it had been sitting out for some time. The texture of the avocado was also very odd, almost grainy in a way? I eat avocado rolls very often since I am a vegetarian and I have never come across an avocado that tasted like this, or a worse avocado roll. I guess thats what you get in the South.

If you get tired of eating deep fried food on Hilton Head Island, head over to Fancy Q for something light and fresh. Fancy Q is a fairly traditional Japanese restaurant with a fairly unusual English name. We especially enjoyed the Sunomono Salad and the Sashimi Appetizer. Very friendly service. Fancy Q is hard to find, but worth the search. Fancy Q was NOT crowded when we went on a week night, but was doing a very brisk take out business, so they seemed to have good turn-over insuring fresh ingredients.

the sushi at this restaurant is awesome the portions are small, you get a free appetizer and dessert which helps. Overall it was a little pricey but isnt sushi always, we enjoyed our dinner and would return if we lived here. I got the white tuna tar tar roll or something and found no strawberries as described on the menu. BTW .....beer was cheap. 2.50 for domestics hay hay.

Food was great, presentation was creative, but service sucked big time. We waited 45 minutes for our orders to be taken. We got our plates not at the same time, some of us had to wait for another 15 minutes. Some other people that arrived after us got their food before our order was even taken. We really glad we sit at the bar. At the end: 0 tips to server, 35% to cooks.

Great sushi! The best Ive had to date! Its fun how the chefs greet everyone from behind the counter as they enter. As others have mentioned, dont let the looks of the place (or the fact that theres a coin laundry next door) fool you, this is great food. The Maggie roll was our favorite (thanks for recommending it, Maggie). Well be going back again for sure.

My husband and I came here my entire pregnancy. And even now that our daughter is 6 months old. They always make us feel welcome and like were all family. Best service, great food. I love this place, and the people. Favorite place to eat and I love the way they are with kids and regular customers that come often. They remember your order and its always great.

We went there for our 30th Anniversary dinner at 5:30pm, and ordered Love Boat (2nd most expensive on the menu). The service was OK, but the food was very disappointing. The sashimi was fresh, but the sushi rice for the rolls was very dry! The rolls were falling apart! It appeared to be old (maybe leftover of the day?!)!

My family has been coming to HHI for many years, but I just recently discovered Fancy Q. We were greeted with a lot of warmth and enthusiasm, and treated to a great assortment of interesting foods (including a surprise dessert). I really hope that Fancy Q makes it. Everybody should go!

My husband and I wondered into Fancy Q by accident. DELICIOUS. Weve yet to find a sushi place near our home that could match the specials they served us. And the deep fried oreos were so good, a nice surprise at the end of a very yummy meal. Great service, nice people!

Despite the name, there is nothing fancy about this place, particularly not the location. But the food is solid, standard Japanese fare spread out over an unusually broad menu. Lots to choose from, even if you ignore all of the sushi options.

The sushi was great, and the staff was impeccable! I wish all restaurants had service like this! Your meal also comes with a free little appetizer and fried oreo for dessert. I will definitely be coming back!

Its a little dark and out of the way, but we really enjoyed the sushi. We found the place because theyre open late, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of service and food.

You cannot beat the price and quantity that you get here! Its a small, hole in the wall but a great quick sushi place! We make a point to come here every time we visit Hilton Head.

The server(s) was super friendly and curteous. The food was good as well, but what really sold me was how nice the waitress was and Id come back simply because of the great staff!

Cozy little sushi place off the beaten path. The eel was good but tuna was thin and subpar. I wouldnt go expecting your mind to be blown, but it will get the job done.
