We arrive at the restaurant tired and hungry a few minutes before 5pm and were seated at the hibachi table. The host said they were going to wait 10 minutes to see if any other hibachi customers would arrive, since we were the only customers in the restaurant. About 30 minutes later, our server came and told us that the hibachi cook had not arrived for his shift yet. We would have really appreciated being told that before waiting that long. She then seated us in the sushi section and told us that they would prepare our food in the kitchen. She apologized and placed a bowl of edamame beans on our table.....apparently it was meant to make us feel better but when we tasted them they were quite nasty. 15 minutes passed and our food arrived.....it appeared to have been cooked on the stove top in the kitchen and it was very disappointing. The whole experience was a let down. We did order a sushi roll while waiting for our food and it was very good. Perhaps that is their forte.

Freaking delicious just like everyone else said. Fancy, trendy decor, but went there with my mom and 3 month old infant in carrier, and didnt get judgy looks at all. Very accommodating, nice staff. Ordered the rainbow tartare tower and 3 specialty rolls: the bomb roll, cowboy roll, and Halloween roll. All delicious (bomb was my fav- I like riceless rolls). Im from Atlanta, so the rolls seemed resort-type pricey, but the quality AND quantity was worth it. Also got a lychee sake-tini (yum!)...they have lots of sake-inspired cocktails/martinis. Finished with a fried tempura ice cream for dessert, which was nothing special, but good and as expected. :) did not try the hibachi, since all negative reviews posted were when they ate not sushi. Also Thai and Chinese food here seems WAY overpriced

Stopped by to get 3 sushi rolls to go at lunchtime. Was charged for all separately even though they have a lunch special that comes with a salad or soup. Asked and was told that the roll we got was not in the lunch special menu even though there were comparatively priced rolls. Was one of their standard rolls, not a special order. Cost $6 more and no salad. We werent even offered a lunch special. We found it ourselves while looking at the menu while waiting for order to be made. Sushi was fine, but thought maybe girl at podium could let customers know about lunch menu. Restaurant looks pretty from lobby. We live in Bluffton so I doubt well drive over to go again. Just happened to be on the island at lunchtime.

Loved it! We went there a little over an hour before closing and when we walked in they didnt give us that snotty "why did you come here so close to closing" attitude. Our server, Joe, was very polite and as soon as we sat down he immediately brought us water to start with. Now, the food. I got the General Tsos chicken and fried rice. Delish! The chicken was fresh and crunchy, not all soggy from the sauce. The broccoli was fresh and crunchy and not all drenched in butter like when you go to some places. Everything was perfect. Quick service, great atmosphere! My boyfriend said, "Good thing we dont live here because youd want to eat here all the time!" :D

My wife and I go there once a week. We get the biggest sushi/sashimi display they have and just love it every time. We dont even bother getting a menu because we are so head over heals about what sushi chef Jimmy does with this platter. Our waitress, Vivi, knows when we are ready for our next drink without us saying a word. And the owner Wii goes out of his way to be hospitable. On an island like Hilton Head with hundreds of great restaurant choices, this has been our favorite since we retired here three years ago. Great place!!!

We had an outstanding meal of sushi and Hibachi style dishes, the presentation and quality of the food were absolutely superb. The ingredients were all very fresh and well prepared. Our chef was spectacular, energetic, and really captivated everyone. As good as the food was, the staff was also so friendly and hospitable. The interior of the restaurant itself is gorgeous and so unlike anything else you will find in this area. Will definitely be returning again. A must visit while in Hilton Head!

The chef we got at the Hibachi table was so hilarious. He was very engaging and was very good with interacting with children. It was the most interactive and fun Japanese restaurant I have ever been to. Also, the food was very tasty and the portions were fairly big. Very accommodating when it came to the check and it was not too expensive. The restaurant has very nice decorations and it seems very upscale. Overall it was the best Japanese Hibachi experience I have been to in a while.

My family has found a new place on our favorite island; OKKO. The food is top notch and they have revealed themselves as true artisans. Sushi was diverse, beautiful and delicious. Kids loved the show, devoured every morsel and were completely filled up at the hibachi table; we cannot find another comparable restaurant of this type. The décor wows you from the entrance all the way to the table and were excited to return next year for another experience with the group at OKKO.

This is the best Asian Restaurant I have ever been to with my family. We had top notch sushi, sushi deluxe was amazing, plus their special roll (Big Mac Roll & Tuna Amazing Roll). they also offer Thai and Chinese dish which were outstanding. Attentive knowledgeable service and friendly environment; their decor brings you to experience a LA style experience. We enjoyed every moment at OKKO and highly recommended this place to all of the sushi & asian cuisine out there.

My friend has been talking about OKKO all the time, so I finally decided to try it. Sushi, Thai, Japanese and Chinese, you can find all in this restaurant. I love the atmosphere in OKKO, you will not find such fancy place anywhere around in Hilton Head. They have the best Sushi, fresh and tasty. I love the presentation of their dish. The diversity and creativity of the sushi offering are unparalleled. We had very good experience which we will definitely repeat.

Went with the family while on vacation. Ordered hibachi and sushi....it was awful. Hibachi chicken tasted bad, the fried rice had the consistency of rubber, and the sushi was inedible. My son, who loves noodles, took one bite of his and refused to eat any more. Way overpriced for the serving size. Left and spent the afternoon in he bathroom, sick. I am not claiming food poisoning or the like...I do not know what made me sick but the timing was interesting.

Food was really good. I had the pad thai. Friend had the calamari and it was not good. Bento box was amazing, with lots of delicious bites, as well as the orange chicken. We had an issue with our waiter- after a very long time of waiting (over half hour) we were told that our order was nowhere to be found and the waiter MIA. When he showed up, we called the manager, who handled it graciously and solved the problem. Will go again!

OKKO is amazing! Everything about this place is awesome. The food is all good & the service is excellent. The hibachi grill is great for kids and they also have a regular dining area with private stables. The sushi bar looks cool, but Ive never sat there. They also have a full bar with tons of yummy drinks! Definitely try this place out, you wont regret it!
