Hannafords Pharmacy at Alton offers a level of service that you might have expected at the local pharmacy decades ago. They take the time to get to know their regular customers, and offer partial-fills of needed medications if their supplies are low, then they order more and finish filling your prescription as soon as their supplies are replenished. Attentive service, helpful employees, they will treat you right.

Easily the store with the best variety in the town of Alton. But thats like bragging about being the least broke homeless person on the street. This store sucks. Wait times last an eternity and staff seem to go out of their way to avoid costumers. All products are overpriced and variety is absolute trash. Also the self checkout machines have more downs than sarah palins son.

Never a good selection of anything went looking for dip for chips. The ones that are in a refrigerator is onion dip hellavagood dip. We asked 3 people and it was like they never heard of chips and dip. When we did find it there was one kind of dip and it was bean dip of some sort. Being a resort area store they need to have some selections not just one thing.

This is a smaller store but, very clean with excellent customer service. Rarely have a crowd of long lines. Limited options for certain items such as cereal or frozen foods. Frequently has harder to find ingredients available such as lemon grass.

Nice place, well placed. What amazes me is that in the summer it feels upscale. Come after Labor Day and you hear Deliverance playing over the speakers.
