This bar has amazing live entertainment and serves delicious food til 4am! And the menu is so diverse and amazing, ranging from "Greek Fries" (fries with feta cheese with a sprinkle of lemon) to flaming Greek saganaki cheese, to the Cypriot meatballs, to the amazing thin crust pizza. Also, they have a wide array of amazing salads and a lean menu of Chicken breast kebobs, shrimp, and other salads, if you dont want to pack on calories late at night (like me). Good and bumpin crowd, especially on Saturday night when the folks offer live blues. When I went there, it was this dude Lindsey Alexander playing some blazing bluesy guitar licks, and he got everyone in the crowd engaged, up, and dancing. What a character, what a night! Spectrum is a stellar find in the West Loop and was recently featured on the WGN show Chicagos Best, which was totally deserved cuz this place is the bomb bomb biggity.

Theres a shady vibe I get from this place. I used to frequent this place for a while because of the cheap specials on the weekdays and it was only a few blocks away from where I lived. $2 drafts, $1 burgers, etc.... Back to the shady vibe part. I noticed all the girls there tend to be flirtatious eastern europeans with a very quick turnover rate. One of the girls as she was taking our order leaned over the table totally showing her cleavage the whole time. She seemed clearly aware of what she was doing. Later on, as were eating she asks "how is everything? can I get you anything, some more beer? ranch? breastmilk?" All of us look at each other with a confused look "did she just ask if we wanted breastmilk?????" In addition, they just so happen to be located right under a hotel Im scared to walk into. Im sure they have hourly rates.

Love this place. Definitely my go-to after hours spot. The kitchen is not bar food. It is much better than that. The quality is equal to and in most cases better than the other Greektown restaurants such as Pegasus and Greek Islands. If you are up late and want something to eat you are a fool if you go to one of the greasy spoons in Greektown in lieu of Spectrum. If you just want to drink this place has probably the most eclectic mix of people you will find in a Chicago bar.

Not only was the steak all fat, but the server (presumed the owner) refused to give us more than one refill on a 6 oz. glass of pop w/ our meals. Would not split our checks, claimed only to be able to split 2 ways evenly, then said 3 ways 5 minutes later. All of this with attitude on top of it. Last time Im stepping foot in there. Never felt so inconvenienced at a restaurant before. No wonder the Greek community has began to distance itself from this establishment.

For a slow Monday afternoon, in a small bar, I would expect the waitress to at least remember what table I was at instead of labeling me as ASIAN in the customer name section of my receipt. I have a name too. I would also expect their PR to be a little better than deleting every post I made about about my receipt on their Facebook page. Talk about horrendous service and half baked apologies.

The service is a bit slow but the pork kabob is perfectly seasoned and delicious. The entire one side of the restaurant opens its view up to Halstead. I usually go during the lunch hour when it is quieter but from what I hear, this location is typically busy in the evenings and caters better to the night crowd.

I have been here several times...and its the place I go to most frequently when I visit Greek Town! The food and atmosphere are outstanding. Perfect place to go to whether you are catching a game or meeting up with friends. Highly recommend!
