If youre looking for a mom and pop hole in the wall American/Mediterranean diner with great prices, this is the place. The Friday Chicken Special is amazing. I rarely eat dark meat but it smelled so good that I ordered it anyway. The seasoning was great, and the chicken and rice were very tender. The fries are also surprisingly good. The menu is great because everything is very inexpensive and they have such a variety. You can get regular diner food like eggs and homefries; halal food like gyros; and deli food like sandwiches and burgers. The atmosphere has a small town feel. You can see the chefs and cooks in the kitchen, and the wait staff give them feedback on how the customers enjoyed their meals. In the short time I was there, a lot of regulars came in and the staff knew them by name. Theyre certainly not the fanciest place but their customer loyalty is well deserved.

The old cash register lady, with the pale skin and short hair cut has bad customer service skills she appeared to be frustrated with the crowd and contained a nasty attitude. As I began to say I placed an order over the phone for an egg and cheese omelette she rudely interrupted me and said "what order we got a lot of orders over the phone". Due to her bad customer service skills I told her I was no longer interested and turned to walk out & she told me dont call anymore. Perhaps she doesnt realize the importance of being polite to individuals who patronize your place of employment. Also the place reeks of mildew or a dirty mop.

The service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The waitress we had was a red haired white woman who made a point of providing excellent customer service to everyone except us, a black family. She waited on a table full of white folks that got in after we did and made us wait forever. She threw straws at us, and slammed our drinks down on our table. Whenever we asked for faster service she yelled loudly at us to wait in front of the whole, small restaurant. We only stayed because the kids wanted to, but she definitely did NOT get a tip, and we will NOT be coming here again.

This is my first time in Pittsburgh and was walking around Market Place and saw this little diner. From outside it looked well and the prices seemed reasonable, except the food.... Ive never had such a horrible grilled cheese sandwich in my life... they just put a piece of Kraft cheese on a toast and thats it... I was looking the rest of the sandwiches other peole ordered such as burgers and they looked pretty big and well made. Besides the service was quite awful.

The food served at this establishment was beyond horrendous. I ordered 3 pancakes and eggs with water and regretted every part of the meal. The pancakes are porous, the eggs were bland and there wasnt any consistency, the water was obviously tap water. The water didnt even taste like water, it tasted like some chemical was in it. I dont recommend the place if you expect really good breakfast but if you just need sustenance go for it.

Came here on Saturday morning with my husband and one year old. They were understandably busy. Got seated in timely manner but could not get waited on. Multiple Customers that sat down after us were waited on before and got skipped twice. I know this a small place but ownership should either be more attentive to their customers or hire another waiter. Im sure this isnt the first time they were busy on a Saturday morning.

I went there for the first time in my life. It is dinky and small. I ordered my food. I dont trust how the kitchen looks. I got tapped on my bottom pants by someone sweeping the floor and rudely saying excuse me. The whole setting made me cringe while I was waiting for my food. Yes the red haired lady seemed like she had a little attitude. My food was okay, but I dont think I Ill be going back there again.

Ok so lets be clear. The food is good. Its fine. However, the main reason to eat here is the waitress. Now pay close attention to this. When you eat here do not get offended by the waitress busting her you know what. Sit down and enjoy the ambiance of an authentic, blue collar lady kicking butt in a small diner trying to make a living. Sit back smile and welcome to the Steel City!

Retro-like greasy spoon serves up traditional breakfast fare. I like Cherries because the food is yummy, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasantly chaotic/busy. Cherries breakfast is a high energy/satisfying start to the work day.

Food is great, staff is friendly, but not overly friendly so you still get that small local diner vibe, but in downtown Pittsburgh. Will eat again.
