My Wife and I stopped at this place during a visit to Ithaca, NY. We were truly impressed with the food, the service, and the beer. We both got the meat loaf sandwich special, and it was so delicious that I didnt feel the need to take a drink while eating. I had the Ithaca Pale Ale for a drink which was very flavorful. The bar itself has an entire wall of beers on tap, and plenty of seating for patrons at the bar and the tables. If you visit the Finger Lakes region of New York state, you should make it a point to visit Ithaca, and stop in the Ithaca Ale House for a great eating experience. You will not be disappointed.

Mixed feelings on this pub. Decent selection of beer and the bartenders were good. Mixed quality on the food. the buffalo chicken dip was great but the nachos were mush. Tuna tartare was tasty but a little dry. The greeter was a little frustrating; we had a group of 12 or so and were in a corner of the bar hanging at the bar and taking up a tall table. They asked us to squeeze next to the bar so they could free up the table for people eating. The place wasnt even busy, they didnt need the table yet, and we were drinking like fish and eating appetizers, why try to move a nice profitable group like us?! Weird.

Best fries in town! And an awesome selection of burgers and sandwiches to pick from, as well as decent flatbreads. The brunch is also quite hearty and definitely tasty. Portion sizes are large and wont leave you unsated. They will also make any of their burgers as a veggie burger if meat isnt your thing. Only cons I can think of is that they dont take reservations so you might have to wait a bit at peak dinner times, and the beer selection isnt my favorite, but you might like it more if youre into IPAs. Overall, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Ithaca.

Great beer selection and food. They frequently have limited release, draft only beers that you typically dont find in the area. They also rotate a nice selection of NY, PA, and New England locals including Ithaca, Brooklyn, Troegs, Victory, and many more. The food is good as well. Ive had almost all the burgers and they are great. The sandwiches, wraps, and pizza are good as well. If you are after appetizers try the Ale House nachos - they are huge and taste great. Just beware, it can get busy at times, but it is worth the wait.

This is actually where my boyfriend and I had our first "date" He said to me - if this is going to go anywhere, you better be okay sharing food. I am glad we both felt this way because theres too many good things here to not share!! You cant go wrong with their burgers and their beer selection is a great compliment. You can sometimes find Southern Tier Pumpking here on tap in the fall and if you do, theyll rim the glass with cinnamon sugar goodness! ill definitely back here when I visit my alma mater.

With craft beers taking over the foodie scene, Ithaca Ale House may not seem that extraordinary, however they were ahead of the trend! Years ago, to be able to order a blueberry craft beer or a rare microbrew while indulging in one of the best cheeseburgers you had ever tasted, that was a pretty awesome dining experience. The food is still delicious but the beer selection isnt that unique anymore compared to the influx of craft beer on the dining scene.

Really diverse beer list. Food was just OK. Beef and Blue was cooked nicely but the blue cheese sauce was not very appealing but thankfully on the side. Onion rings had not taste and were burned on the bottom. I dont even know how one does that. Overall the place isnt that clean. On a Sunday afternoon they were stacking dirty plates from other tables in view of our table. Overall, nice beer list in a bit of a dive, that needs to be cleaned.

Great brew selection! Local and craft sips to cleanse your trendy palate. Awesome atmosphere that isnt swamped with the college crowd. Been here well over 10 times, and yet to order anything disappointing. We love the House wings and flatbread pizzas as trustworthy picks. Owner is almost always on hand, quick to fill your glass, and check up on his guests. Top notch stop for every Ithaca visit. Cheers!

This is defiantly one of the better spots in Ithaca. They have a huge selection of tap beers with many locals. The food is also very decent. I have never had a problem with the service here even though they can get quite busy. Generally I am disappointed with the quality of Ithaca’s establishments and while this place would be average in more competitive environments it stands as a jewel in Ithaca.

Im from out of town, checked the reviews and went in to eat. Staff was super friendly, Mary was great! Food was top notch, everything was perfect! My son almost finished the entire pizza on his own. Well worth it, the quality of the food was awesome. They also put up with my sons requests and didnt fuss a bit! Loved it. Plus stickers came with the check.

Solid place, our server was both friendly and efficient and ensured we knew what all of the daily specials and things to that effect were. Had a pretty solid selection of beers to choose from, probably something for every beer drinker. Most importantly this place has cloth napkins, which is surprisingly important to me.

Awesome beer selection that changes on the season. Fantastic food, not just greasy bar food. Although their bar food does last to the wee hours of the morning if you need to sober up. They were crazy busy when we went but we got in quick and food came just as fast and tasty. I recommend the bleu prime rib sandwich.

My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE the Ale House. We have always had amazing service and the food is consistently great. We always leave this restaurant happy and satisfied. Whenever we cant decide where to eat we always end up at the Ale House. Just writing this review I am craving those buffalo spring rolls! mmm

Ive had almost every burger from this place, and loved each one. The basket o fries is delicious, and the beer/drink offerings are immense. It can get loud, the outdoor seating fills up quickly, and there are many TVs with multiple events happening. That said, it is very family friendly.

Good place for burgers and beer. Of course the menu is more than that, bit its overall a good "American" food place. It can be busy at time with a wait but otherwise service is usually fairly quick and the food made well each time weve been. Good draft and bottled beer list available.

They have some very good seasonal beers on tap. If your a beer lover than this is the place to go. They have some classic foods with a twist. Ive never had bad service there as I frequent there a lot. They have a loyalty program that you can opt in to to get a half price appetizer.

Ordered the seared tuna salad and my plate was coated in hot sauce and there were large chunks of wasabi on all sides. Neither of these ingredients were indicated on the menu and I even went as far to say that I do not want red peppers. My taste buds suffered tremendously.
