A coworker and I went to Smokey bones for our 1hr lunch break today. I ordered a pink alcoholic beverage from the Bar and CHICKEN nachos which is an appetizer. I customized them with chicken, cheese, jalepaño, and sour cream with tomatoes and salsa on the side. My food was served incorrectly twice, once w/o chicken and another with chicken mixed with salsa and it was the same nachos I previously returned. I asked to discuss this with a manager, Bryan or Brian and expressed Ive wasted my time my lunch in your establishment and I have not eaten and explained to him the story. He offered two suggestions he can remake my Nachos here(clearly he didnt hear me, on lunch again) or we can them to go for you. Explained to him again that will not work for me, "Im on lunch, if I want for anything to be remade I will be late. I came to Smokey BONES to eat and have a lunch drink, now I have to return to work without food?" Bryan responds we can take them to go. Again, why should I be subject to eat cold/soggy food on the account the chef incorrectly made my food twice. Bryans response in return "What would you like for me to do?" I asked for the gift card totaling the price for chicken Nachos, so I can return to eat when I got off work. He said CANT do that or does have the ability to do that. He doesnt have the "Power" but he is the General Manager of the store. I explained to him his corporate office will be receiving a letter and I would be writing my review on Google. When I returned to work he called my job to talk with my manager about the situation, expressing to my manager, I was being loud, belligerent, and ignorant and I shouldnt be representing my company. I understand digression from the situation, however; he doesnt know my rules or regulations for consuming alcohol on our personal hours, nor was I being unprofessional or rude when speaking with him. He looked up my jobs number to get try and get me FIRED. His unprofessionalism and pure disregard for the customers needs and his bias towards my frustrations with not eating because of his staff is besides me.

Craptastic! Rolled up on a whim and decided to bring my wife here. Seated in the furthest corner next to a loud and rude group of trashy people. The waitress took 5 minutes getting to us. Ordered water and the glasses are dirty. Ordered brisket and theyre out. Ordered Stella Artois and theyre out and as Im ordering my drink the waitress walks away to tend to the trashy folks next door leaving me talking to myself. The Ziosk unit for our table is broken. The floor is super disgusting with trash and food all over the place like a tornado came through. And at this point our darn food hasnt even arrived yet. Its been 10 minutes since my drink has gone empty. The food arrives and my wifes hickory salmon is like a roof shingle. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was fine but the Brunswick stew wasnt that good. Super unsatisfied. Dont waste your time with this hole. Its overpriced. Youll get better food at Walmart in the frozen ready made section for a fraction of the price and itll be fresh too! Ps: I never got my water. Craptastic indeed!

Great food! Waitresses always do there best. But the drinks absolutely suck absolutely. Drunk 5 Long Island without even getting a buzz. Im a very light drinker. My girlfriend had three "perfect patrons" without even a buzz. Came there again with friends, ordered the pitcher of "patron perfection" with no ice they sent out a weak 1/3 full pitcher. What a rip off! The cool waitress explained to us that the bartenders have to follow a specific portion. Which its a complete rip off. If you plan on coming here for drinks its a complete waste an bad idea! Keep in mind this is coming from a very light drinker. Other than that the food is great as well as the service.

My 5 year-old loves ribs so we decided to try Smokey Bones. They didn't have a kid portion of ribs so I had to order the $20 rack and convince his sister to share. The salad on my steak came out looking like purple jello it was so rare ( I ordered medium). I sent it back only to have half the steak come back burnt and the other half still grossly rare. I Tried to eat the greens around it but it took on the burnt beef and raw beef flavors. Too late to do anything more... the kids said the ribs were too dry and just wanted to leave. Paid for our crappy meal and left. Our server was decent. Well continue to go to outback for ribs and steak.

I came into Smokey Bones with my wife and son during my dinner break. We were seated at 8:15. No one came even say hello or take our drink order until 8:30. So we ordered our food then also. We saw our waiter only every 15 minutes or so, and were told every time that our food would be right out. At 9:00, I told the waiter to give it to us to-go because I had to get back to work. By 9:15, we still had not received our dinner, and decided to leave empty handed without eating. The restaurant was not unusually busy. But even still, there is no good excuse for making us wait almost an hour for our dinner. I sincerely doubt we will ever return.

Out on a dinner date, we decided to visit Smokey Bones (helped that we also had a coupon). I ordered a grilled chicken cobb salad. My mouth was watering at the thought of nice leafy greens, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, avocado and all the stuff that usually comes with it. I was very disappointed when the salad was placed in front of me. First, the salad is made from iceberg lettuce. From there on, it went downhill. Half an egg, 2 very thin slices of bacon, tomatoes were plentiful, and the chicken scarce. The salad was $8.95? I dont think so. I must say, service was wonderful!

Had a great experience except for they forgot to bring out one of my side dishes other than that I would recommend you check it out. Update 4/4/17 Place has gone down since 3 years ago. I went last Saturday night and had a bad experience. The food was good but it took over a hour to receive our food. Now before you say oh it was Saturday blah blah blah. I have read other reviews on here for that same day with no complaints and have been to other franchise restaurants and didnt have to wait NOWHERE this amount of time on Saturday!!!

Terrible, The service wasnt good at all. Waited forever to get some water, even the waitress knew I needed some because I asked her for some. Food came out very late and tastes like they cooked it under the heat lamps it was sitting under forever. The prices here were ridiculous for the amount of food you get. The bbq sandwhich I ordered was a joke. When they first brought it to me i thought that was the bun and I was waiting for my bbq still. The side of french fries seemed like they ate most of them before even bringing it to me.

Just wanted to start off by saying that my dining experience at this Smokey Bones location in Newport News, VA was absolutely outstanding. The restaurant was very clean and the food/service was excellent. The management team and the servers are the epitemy of the way a restaurant should operate. My favorites on the menu are the smoked wings and the baby backs with the sweet bbq glaze sauce. I wish that this was sold in the grocery stores. I will definitely be back very soon to dine at the Newport News location.
