Supremely disappointed. Tonight was our second outing to Rams Head. We enjoyed the first outing a lot. The service was slow, but we chalked it up to a fluke and the food was amazing. Tonight I brought my parents to show off the place and was embarrassed. Hands down the worst service experience Ive ever had. Ive decided the easiest way to tackle this is via numbered list: 1. We sat down and ordered drinks and crab dip . The drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive. We werent even given water while we waited. No server came to take our order during this time. 2. Once we finally were allowed to order, we also asked for some extra bread for the crab dip because were ravenous at this point. It showed up 25 minutes later once the dip was all spooned away. 3. We never received the salads that came with our orders. Never. 4. When we received our meals, we discovered the following: two of us ordered chips, they got fries. Two ordered medium burgers, got cold hockey pucks. I ordered a whole lobster, but was not given a shellfish cracker, even after asking. My wife ordered a bacon burger. Bacon in the name. No bacon. 5. We asked for water four times. Had to go to the bar to get some ourselves. 6. The staff seemed apathetic to the obvious lack of basic customer service. Never received an apology (did receive a pitch for the customer loyalty card). 7. They charged us for the freaking extra bread we asked for at the hour mark without hope of food. I want to love this place. I really do. The food is good, the atmosphere is amazing. But the service... The place was half full with staff running everywhere. Once is a fluke, but to follow it up with this... there are no words.

Sad! Stopped in for a bite to eat via boat. Staff is friendly and youre greeted with a smile. BUT...do not ask for a Coors Lite & do NOT order the Don something salad with the grilled shrimp and scallops, salsa & balsamic vinaigrette! I believe the price was either $12.95 or $14.95. When the salad came there were 5 grilled shrimp smaller than a teeny, tiny caterpillar and the scallops were supposed to be bay scallops. They were smaller that the tip of a small handed persons little finger and there were maybe 6-7 bay scallops on this bed of lettuce. There was no dressing nor was there any salsa! I asked for Coors Lite. They dont carry Coors Light! The folks in this area work very hard for their money and with these high costs for food & drink doesnt seem right! You cant take part in their football specials either unless you sit inside in front of a TV! So this means that you cant sit outside in the beautiful sand covered ground with nice umbrella coverage and fan cooled tables! Sad! Oh and did I mention the "manager" spoke with us and of course he has never had a complaint about this particular salad before, but he hadnt actually seen the salad either! I ordered something else, as I was very hungry. The chicken flatbread was ok, but nothing to write home to mom about! I dont think well be stopping by via boat or land vehicle any time soon! Too many other great restaurants around with responsible prices and much better food!!!. Its all about the money and not the patron!!! :(

If it was possible to give less than one star I would do it. The service was absolutely the worst imaginable and it wasnt even remotely busy. I tried ordering beer from their "extensive beer list" only to have my neither my first or second choice nor backup choice in stock. I ordered a seared tuna salad for dinner and waited over 1/2 hour only for the waitress to tell me it was going to be a while longer still because they still had to prepare the tuna. After I finished my meal I put in a to go order and had to wait and wait for our server to return with the check but eventually had to find another one to let mine know that I wanted to leave. Twenty minutes later she appeared with the check but never returned to pick up the check with my credit card. The manager came around to each table asking how our experience was and I told him that Ive been waiting for my to go order and for the waitress to pick up my check so I could leave. He said he would check on things and my server finally came out with the check and said the manager comped a round of drinks for the inconvenience. Its a shame that the service makes such a potentially great place impossible to ever want to return to. I could understand if it was busy, but it was not crowded in the least. Definite thumbs down!!

My husband and I tried this place for the first time. The atmosphere was nice and the outdoor seating area was nice. However, the flies were ridiculous. They would do well to hire a pest control company to spray weekly for bugs, especially flies. Also, while the food was plentiful, it was woefully plain. I had a burger which had no taste. My husband had fish tacos which were OK. The side dish was white rice and beans, which was exactly that. Nothing extra and no flavor. The drinks were great! The waitresses were very friendly, however, there was a couple that was seated next to us for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged them. While I normally would not visit a place like this a second time, I am keeping in time that they are only open approximately 3 week and I think they just need to find their groove. Hopefully, the owner reads these reviews and takes them to heart. Im not out to make them lose business but giving them pointers to make improvements. I will try again in 2-3 months. If there is no improvement, I will not return. I will update my review when I visit Rams Head again.

Went there this past Tuesday, July 12th. It was around 6pm. The inside, when you walk in, is under construction but other than that, its a pretty good layout, including the outside deck, dock and mini-sandy beach area where people can pull up on PWCs or a small John boat or tie off on the dock to grab a bite or pick up food to go. Lots of seating with umbrellas outside and a sandy ground. Very enjoyable, even in the sun. No bugs with the exception of occasional flies (I know this is truly dependent upon wind and tide, though). My group ordered drinks from the staff. It appeared they were understaffed and the server outside was doing more than she could keep up with, it seemed, and there was a new server training. She helped us as well as other staff to get our drink and food orders in. The food was pretty good but it seemed like, as someone mentioned before, that they were somewhat disorganized. In my opinion, the service was pretty good and cant complain. They kept the beer coming and were very attentive to our table outside. Will likely come back and bring different friends. :)

Sat down at the bar, there were 3 other people at the bar and maybe 6 outside. Ordered my first beer as well as a sandwich which took 64 minutes to be served. The waitress threw my sandwich at me, exclaimed "sorry!", and quickly ran away before I had a chance to air my grievances. The waitstaff ran around the place like it was Friday night but with only about a dozen people on a Tuesday I cant imagine what they couldve been so busy doing. The food, when I finally got it, was phenomenal so my only complaint would be that the place just needs a little more attention to the patrons. Also, there were only 6 craft beers on tap and one of the kegs was kicked. When the last beer was poured the tap should have been removed or covered so customers are not disappointed when the beer they have chosen is not available. This is something that even the greenest bartenders know.
