On a Friday night upon arriving I was shocked at how small the place is (around 10 tables in total); the even more shocking part was the place was half empty. My date and I sat down, I ordered a beer she ordered iced tea and some fries to start. We both had burgers; her sliders and I a bacon cheeseburger. I had ordered mine medium and thats where they went horribly wrong. The burger was well done, a sign of a novice chef too scared to leave any pink when told to do so. The burger, somewhat juicy still lacked the flavor I was hoping for with a "premium" burger restaurant. The fried onion strings also didnt quite impress me...it was like scraping the bottom of the fryer and hoping for something tasty. All said and done, I wont be going back...not at these prices for certain. Five Guys impresses me more, by far.

HORRIBLE! Family of 5 (2 children), came into a small eating establishment (very deceiving from the outside) only 2 other tables were occupied. Waited 10 minutes, no server. 2 more tables were seated, the SERVER TOOK THEIR ORDERS FIRST!! Finally after 25 minutes, server took order......we are now rushed for time due to a bball game, we told this to the server! 3 Burgers, mac & cheese, fries, and an app.........25 more minutes later!! NOW 48 HOURS LATER.......ALL 3 ADULTS SICK!! Burgers werent cooked med/well, they came out WELL DONE! OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE the meat was turning and how could the cook tell if they were med/well when the color is off to begin with!! This is why we are all sick! FRIES WERE SOGGY, SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE, FOOD MADE US SICK!!!!!

The burgers are simply the best on long island. period! My wife and I have been there numerous times and always the burgers are the best. We have not tried the appetizers.. and have not tried the soup. But we have had a lot of their special burgers including Greek, Peppercorn, and most of the choices on the menu, Oh and we love the onion strings! Onions fried are usually extra on menus.. Usually most places give you fries.. Their fries serve 2-3 or more. Their burgers are huge juicy and remind me of those you make yourself or those you used to get at places back in the 60s No little flat meat patties here. they beat out jon thomas (which are really good) and for a little more than the price of a 5 guys.. you get a whole lot more!

Gourmet burger bistro offers all differemt types of delicious burgers and their specials are a must try! I have never been disappointed in my visit here. This time time around I ordered a Chicken feta burger which was outstanding! The onion strings that come with the meal are a bit on the greasy side but still very enjoyable. I came with a group of friends and we also ordered a side of seasoned fries which were extremely addicting. My only complaint would be that this restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, my burger came out to be $14 with avocado added onto it. Besides that, great atmosphere, great burger, I am very full and I will definitely visit again soon.

There is no better place to go on long Island, or even....the WORLD. The burgers are like sent from heaven. A heaven where the cows are all happy to sacrifice themselves for your eating pleasure. The service is impeccable as if they exist only for you and a pleasurable dining experience. The owner must have studied at the best culinary institutes the world has to offer. My only complaint about GBB is that occasionally they are closed, like from 11pm to 11am and my family cannot enjoy the most spectacular eating experience of our lives.

Been here at other times and had great food and great experience in all regards; previously have only sat in outdoor seating. Most recent visit was inside seating, and they were not at all busy. On the plus side, the choice of music was peerless - a commendable esoteric blend of mostly B-sides from the 80s. Also, the service and staff were terrific and quite pleasant. Sadly, though, the food was not distinguished (as I had previously remembered it) - both the appetizers and the burgers. Maybe it was just an off night.

Food sounded good enough, however I just attempted to place an order to pick up and because I wanted to get sweet potato fries instead of "fried onion strings" (whatever those are...) as my side, it came to $18 for one Turkey burger and fries!! absurd! Im going to bobbys burger palace, no way would I spend that much for one person to eat! I suggest they figure out a more reasonable alternative for those that dont want to eat fried onions as a side? gross.

This place is a valuable asset to Port Jeff Village! The burgers have been unique and delicious, the chicken avocado spring rolls and calamari appetizers were awesome. I have loved everything Ive had except the loaded fries werent my favorite... it was a huge plate of fries that were a little too soft/soggy with too much sour cream, cheese, and bacon. They have a great beer selection and $2 off beers and apps during happy hour Monday-Friday 4-7pm.

Ive been here three times now. Not a preferred burger place. Burgers are not gourmet by any means. Some creative recipes, but lacking in quality. Lettuce is chopped up iceberg as if they use it for the salads. Lettuce wont stay on the burger when you eat it. Tomatoes are not good at all; mushy and no flavor. Kind of sad since it is August and quality tomatoes can be found everywhere. Burger was under cooked a bit.

One of our favorite restaurants. I usually order the build your own burger whole wheat wrap. Always really good. The chef during the day is the best. We went one evening and the meal wasnt as good as normal. Only once did this happen. It want bad just not up to normal standards. My wife enjoys the turkey wrap. Shoe string onion rings are fantastic. Great sweet potato fries. Good beer and wine selection.

The service was lacking. Even though they werent busy and had plenty of staff it took a while to order and then a long time to get the food. They forgot a few simple items and it took almost 10 minutes to flag someone(not our waitress) to help us. The food was expensive but the quality didnt match it. I would consider giving them a second chance but wouldnt recommend them at this point.

I used to come here a lot, and here is my honest review. I thought the burgers were delicious, they are a bit pricey, but no more expensive than if tou went to an applebees, or chilis. You get what you pay for, I thought the burgers were really big, and great. Fries do NOT come with the meal, but when you order a serving, it can easily be split between 2-3 people. I cant wait to go back

Food was very good. Service was horrible. Took forever to get served. Majority of the orders were missing. A waitress yelled loud enough at a group of people for the entire Resturant to hear her dehumanize the large table for being loud. Never coming back. Better burgers and service elsewhere.
