Ill be honest with you. i dont claim to always be right, in fact im wrong most of the time. however. golden lion has the best wings on the god damn planet earth. they have the perfect sauce to meat ratio. perfect crisp every time. the sauce itself is the perfect consistency. if i were god id get a bunch of slaves to do everything, Norwegian lesbians that feed me golden lion wings and know how to sing. theyre so good they should be illegal, but they arent. twas a gift from the gods. when they make the sauce they can only do it when the planets are in perfect alignment. first time i had one, i literally died. literally. i was pronounced dead for 5 minutes. i was then born again. i was baptized with their delicious sauce being poured over my head by a chicken farmer. in the name of the foul, the sauce, and the holy wing.

The Golden Lion is a goto place if you want cold beer, great food, and great prices. The best choice on their menu is the wings. I would put their wings up against any In the tri-state area if not the whole north east. If you want a bar where you can be yourself (as long as that isnt a rude jerk), enjoy you drinks and food in peace and enjoy a small town atmosphere then the Golden Lion is a must. But bring your cash if you want to eat. Cash only, but they are nice enough to have an atm if you need it. Great, now Im craving their wings again. ROAD TRIP!!!!

Its a hole-in-the-wall dive bar with amazing food and friendly staff. Cash-only, but the wings here will make the trip to the ATM worth it (they also have an ATM inside). No fancy cocktails here, just a lot of TVs lining the walls, a jukebox, and the best wings in central Jersey. Only downside is that the bar staff can get overwhelmed with how many people are inside and ordering (its usually crowded but not claustrophobically so), so be prepared to wait if its busy.

EDIT: Theres been a change in the chef, and unfortunately, a few months after flooding, a change in the wing sauce. The wings are definitely smaller, and the sauce tastes like a mix of store brands including Tabasco. The "atomic" barely registers any heat. Im never getting wings here again. Its a nice neighborhood bar all things considered, but the word "great" is no longer going to be used in this context.
