I really wish I could give this place 6 stars. My family and I (including two dogs) stayed here this past Thursday through Sunday as we fled the Coastal Bend from hurricane Harvey. Needless to say, it was extremely stressful and an emotional rollercoaster watching the storm, wondering if we would have anything to return home to. The staff and accommodations here were a beacon in the dark for us. With all of their rooms completely filled and several hundred folks trudging around the property with dampened spirits, every staff member remained vigilant in making sure we were all comfortable and taken care of. All of the staff was extremely courteous and, even in the face of their own stress, never missed a beat in keeping us 100% satisfied. Upon checkout sunday, I advised the front desk we needed to cancel our reservation for Sunday and Monday as we would be headed back to assess the damage and start cleaning up. I advised that I understood there was a 24 hour cancellation policy and I would willingly pay the fee. I was greeted with smile and handshake and told "Dont worry about that, youve been through enough. Get home safe and get your things taken care of." It was a giant relief to have just a little bit of stress dismissed and to know that your company puts people before profits. I WILL be back to your hotel on a vacation, and I WILL recommend anyone traveling to Kerrville to stay here. Thank you for running such a fantastic establishment with wonderful people. You have no idea just how big of an impact you have made by such a simple gesture.

I am only giving this a 5 star rating from when I knew it last, that was back in the 80s. it was a fantastic place ,I say that not only because my wife was the assistant director of housekeeping, but I know for a fact from spending time there. I dont know who the owners are now. but at the time we were there it was the Schreiner family. and they took pretty good care of their employees. havent been back there since we left in the eighties. if my wife were alive and saw all these reviews she would be sick, she took pride in her work, I feel bad to read such bad reviews about the rooms ,they were very nice when we were there ,the food was always good, and the beer was always good and cold .I deeply miss Kerrville, and the hill country ,my wife and I enjoyed the hill country very much. on her weekends off we would go for rides throughout the hill country. If there is anyone who reads this ,and should by chance remember the last name my wifes first name was Rose. And if there is ,I hope this finds you and your family all in good health.

Hi everyone i usually dont post nothing of no one, but i really had to speak on this guys if you are black please dont stay here at the y.o the room service the ladys were verry nice but if you go outside there is no room to feel free i can understand that some people dont no how to act in hotels but everyone that is BLACK is not bad some of us do want better for our family and future. This was the worst time i had when my children have to see these racial acts. Me and my family went to their lobby and all eyes were on us but of course a puerto rican woman with a black and children are half black and spanish well it must of been something that made them feel some kind of way because the look they gave us was that we needed to get out of there. Thank you for reading this i dont hate white people but our skin color shouldnt make a difference our blood is the same color and we all have the same organ we need to live

Didnt stay at the hotel but had dinner in their restaurant twice while passing through. The lobby is beautiful and immediately reminded me of Old Faithful Inn (or even Disneys Wilderness Lodge). The food was great but unfortunately the service was slow to almost non-existent. I dont think this was the fault of the wait staff but quite honestly I have no idea what the issue was. There were hardly any customers in the restaurant at the 2 different times we were there. About 5 tables and while maybe 2 of them had parties of 5 or 6, the rest were just singles or pairs. There was only one waitress who seemed over worked and stressed but really seemed to be trying her best to take care of her customers. It almost seemed like she was also the cook and maybe even the dishwasher. So, in short, food was good, service was friendly but slow.

Beautiful hotel, great staff. Most recognizable is the cleanliness of the inside of the hotel and rooms. The lobby in the hotel is amazing. There are a variety of outstanding Texas artifacts on display. Definitely a classy Texas relaxable atmosphere. Staff was timely, professional and accommodating. Rooms are clean and have Folgers coffee! and plenty of towels...most hotels do not. We also managed to grab the outside hot tube 2 nights in a row very nice. If you made me point out a negative. I would comment that some room fixtures..are a bit dated ie.(phone, lamps, fixtures) and the air conditioning is definitely set on an economy setting. It didnt ever seem to be able to cool the room below 72-73 (rm 209)We like it cold at night. 67-68 in my house. Over all great stay YO we will be back! Thank you!

Had a great experience staying the night here. My girlfriend and I were taking a long road trip around the Hill Country and decided to stop here. We booked through the Hotel Tonight app and got a great deal. The room was very clean and had an old fashioned theme to it. The pool was clean and refreshing, especially on a 103F day. Management was really nice and welcoming as well. Only complaint is that the A/C ran often and really cold. But thats not much of a negative when you live in Texas!

Id like to compliment the Executive Chef, Mr. Isaac Eckstein in his excellence and expertise in the preparation and management of the food and service offered at the Y.O Ranch Hotel & Conference Center.I was very pleasantly amazed and will make it a point to not only eat there but also recommend him and the Hotel to everyone I know here in Houston, where I work and reside. Sincerely, Gladys Reis and Luis Martinez

I dont know why this place has so many good reviews, but the cant be reviews for the rooms. Unless you are in to rust, mildew, and just old - DONT WAST YOUR MONEY! Out hall smells of smoke but all the doors have a non smoking sign on them, our bathroom is just nasty, and this place does not seem or feel nice in any way. It feels old and dirty. We regret falling for the YO hype! DONT DO IT!
