My husband purchased take out on his way home. He says the inside of the restaurant looked fairly clean and standard. The staff seemed polite. Now on to the food itself. Well, their Chicken Lo Mein certainly captured the essence of a stockyard. Have you ever tasted a smell? If not and youve always wondered about what that "hay mixed with livestock" smell that typically comes from barns tastes like, then the lo mein is the dish for you. I could smell it as soon as I opened the takeout box, and keep in mind that I was not aware of where the restaurant was located at the time. I thought it was my imagination until I tasted it. The most disturbing thing about it was that you tasted the noodles and chicken first, then the barn taste followed close behind. I sat there wondering if the restaurant rubs their vegetables on a cow before use. Im not being mean, it honestly tasted like that. The Happy Family was alright and did not taste of barn, just standard Chinese food. The egg rolls were bland and doughy on the inside. The spring rolls, while adequately crispy on the outside, had both the texture and flavor of "chewy" on the inside. A prior review said the sweet & sour sauce seemed watered down and I agree. The Sesame Chicken and Orange Chicken were sub par, as were the Crab Rangoons. The pricing is the same as any of the other "cheap" Chinese restaurants in Omaha, and the portions look to be about the same too and not worth it for the price. So all in all the theme of the night was Barn, Bland, Chewy, and Edible. Not worth the $60 it cost for dinner for the family. I will not be ordering from Great Dragon in the future and I would not suggest it to anyone either. Im sad that there are leftovers in my fridge.

First time at this restaurant, placed order at 6:30pm and was told food would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived at 6:50pm and there were a dozen people lined up waiting in front of counter (no joke!) with one person taking orders, checking people out (very slowly) while answering every call with phones (two) ringing off the hook... Took another 20 minutes just to get to the cashier to be checked out and then was told food wasnt ready yet... Sat and waited another 20 minutes before finally getting my food and headed home. Sesame Chicken was good and pork fried rice was above par. Hot and Sour soup was good, fried dumplings were above par. I will go back again but maybe not on a Friday night. They should really have 2 people working the register and more people in the kitchen. Food 4/5 service 2/5 for a total of 3/5.

I decided to give this restaurant a chance because it is so close to my work. I am very picky about Chinese Food Restaurants and some restaurants here in Omaha have failed to impress me. This one, however, has definitely made the cut. Fast service, very friendly staff, and delicious meals, usually only for $5-$7!! You really cant beat that. The General Tsos Chicken is not my favorite, but other meals I tried were extremely good.To me, this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Omaha, for the price point.

I have tried Many chinese restaurants, but NOTHING compares to Great Dragon! I love their beef/chicken/shrimp w/broccoli, they are the best! And they are so well priced! I would recomend Great Dragon to anyone. Seriously i drive across town just to get this awesome Chinese food!

Worst Chinese ever!!! Im not kidding I order chicken fried rice and got a yellow white rice. Incredibly slimy with no veggies except under cooked onion. The chicken was slimy. I took one bite and wanted to throw up. Crab Rangoon was over cooked glob of cream. They also did not have bourbon chicken or teriyaki chicken.

Wasnt great. The buffet didnt have many options at all, the general tso chicken was super soggy/chewy, and the sweet and sour sauce was terrable, super citrusy. The appearance was old and dirty. The serving spoons needed cleaned. I cant believe this got a 4.5 star rating. Probably not coming back. Sorry.

The food is delicious and the prices are fair for an all you can eat buffett. My biggest complaint is the radio station that always plays, I just dont like that kind of music. The service was respectful when I was there but not the happiest bunch. Im getting picky now though--all in all its a nice place.

No flavor. Maybe the worst chinese food Ive ever had. Bought $20 worth of low mein, egg rolls, sweetnsour pork, and beef brocoli, and it all tasted bland. The sweetn sour and egg roll sauces were watered down. Threw away most of food, couldnt eat it. Will not go back, do not recommend.

Good buffet, good size and enough options to satisfy all my chinese food cravings lol. Theyre really a hidden gem, in some plaza 32nd and Lst. Next to Hyvee and GNC. The neat thing is Ive been coming here for over 10 years and this place hasnt never failed me yet.

Best Chinese food in South Omaha. I always order the chicken and broccoli and its to die for. When I go for the lunch buffet the Lo Mein is awesome as well as the rest of the items they have. I would recommend going early though.
