After reading the rest of the reviews, my wife and I were excited to try Oriental Pearl. Im not sure if they were just having an off day or what, but we were both very disappointed with the food we received. Service was friendly and fast, but we just cant get over the food. It all seemed like something that came out of a frozen food section and intended to be prepared using a microwave. We could have purchased many frozen food Chinese dishes for the $25 we paid today. We just moved to town and were used to excellent Oriental cuisine... guess well have to continue the search. I dont generally give bad reviews, and I really do hope they were just having an off day... but we wont be back to see if that was the case.

This is a small restaurant tucked away out of sight, but should not be overlooked! Ive been several times and its typically a quiet, casual atmosphere with low music playing in the background. The food has always been good and you get plenty to eat (I can put away some food and have never left hungry!). Prices arent bad either. A whole pot of hot tea, an appetizer and entree with rice were $15. Highly recommend the Hot & Sour soup and Kung Pao chicken!

I have been here several times and have always enjoyed the food. The staff is quite nice and it seems to be a very small mom and pop type operation. Prices are also pretty decent with good lunch and dinner sized options. If you order a dish that doesnt normally come with veggies, I highly recommend you do. They will either put it on the side or cook it in with the rest of food per your request.

It might take a little time to get your food, but it is well worth your wait. Generous portions and fresh tasty meals. The best part of finding this place is that they use real crab in their crab ragoons. For someone who is deathly allergic to imitation crab I had given up on having crab ragoons in the restaurant atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Just had a meeting with a few other men yesterday at this amazing new little jewel in Lawrence. While the atmosphere is simple, the cuisine is not. We were very impressed by their egg drop and wonton soups and their crab rangoons were incredibly light and crisp with great flavor. We will be returning and recommend you check it out.

Best crab ragoon in town. Lunch is a good deal with a good portion, not 2x more than you should eat. The breading is thin and crispy on the fried items, makes it just right and not hard and chewy. My wife loves the wide hot tea selection. Owners are wonderful and personable and care deeply for their customers and their food.

This is the best Chinese food place in Topeka. The menu has many traditional options. The sauces are perfect and not too sweet. Their soups are some of the best Ive ever had. The dine in area is small but they do deliver. I highly recommend this place if you would like to have Chinese.

Staff very nice, but never going back. Some food burnt (egg rolls) and crab Rangoon runny. VERY small portions for the price and and tasteless as well. And yes...we left at tip on the table.
