It was a cold overcast day, my family was under the weather and unable to cook so I placed an order. Little did I know the epic adventure that awaited me once I received the nourishment from China City. Upon arriving I was promptly and courteously greeted. I noticed the restaurant was small but had a nice comfortable feel to it. In the back ground some good mood setting psybient music. I exchanged currency for the food thanked them and left. When I got home and consumed my meal my taste buds were met with explosions of flavor. The to go containers were artfully vented by the owners, so the food would not become soggy before i was able to consume it and this little trick helped to keep the food in its perfect state of existence until I was able to devour it amongst my brethren. The meal completely satisfied my appetite and pallet. But the best was yet to come. After consuming the food approximately 23 minutes and 14 seconds had passed and I received a loud knock on my front door. I opened the door and to my surprise was standing 13 beautiful young women who said they were each here at my residence to acquire my seed from me in the most sensual of ways. So I obliged them all. I asked why they felt they needed this from me and they said they said they knew the powers of the meal I had just consumed and it would transfer to their offspring if they could extract it from me. I was glad to help. This food is awesome to say the least.

Im in love with their Chicken Teriyaki on a stick. I always get a side order of white rice and the teriyaki and love it. I love my teriyaki a bit sweet and this restaurant provides it. I really hate the closer Chinese restaurant that makes their teriyaki chicken with a ton of salt, making it unbearable to eat (maybe Im biased, because my younger sister gladly enjoyed the rest I didnt eat, saying it was fine.) Driving a little further up the street for this chicken is worth it. My sister and mother have tried the orange chicken, and its good but nothing spectacular that makes this place "ohh I love the orange chicken here". Chinese places are always a hit or miss depending on how fresh the food is. If its fresh, it will be slightly crunchy and steaming hot and soft inside. If its not fresh, itll just be mushy chicken glopped in thick orange sauce. Gross. I tried the spare ribs and they were way too fatty for me, like 60% fat. :s I dont like a lot of fat, if at all on my ribs. If you like that soft, tender fat, then you should give it a try, otherwise steer clear. I do like the house salad, but its drenched in the house sauce. Im not that picky and it came with my bento box, so it was fine with me. Tasty. I liked the simple California sushi rolls too. Other than that, I havent tried anything else sooo hope I was helpful. The prices are fair and if you make sure to get fresh food, you wont be disappointed.

This is the first time ive ordered from China City, and Im fully satisfied. I ordered the Eel Terriyaki Bento. Portions were good for the price, the sushi was fresh, and the egg rolls (spring rolls) were obviously not frozen. Everything tasted amazing, and I didnt feel cheated at all. I ordered delivery and it took about an hour considering it was rush hour, Id say they made great time. I recommend not ordering the sushi, because its 3.95 for 2 rolls, which is a bit pricey, especially for a crab roll. For someone who has grown up on korean, and japanese food. I would definitely recommend trying China City. For me the best part is that they deliver. I expected everything to be just okay, but I was wrong. Driver was very nice. My bf ordered egg drop soup, and Shrimp fried rice. The shrimps are a little small, but unlike other chinese resturants, who use a very small amount of jumpo shrimp, they put plenty of shrimp in the rice. Both the soup, and rice were very good. I was also very happy with the steamed rice. At other chinese restuarants I dont like it because its dry, and tastes like its been sitting out for hours. Although its not as moist as id prefer, it was still very good sticky rice. Hope yall give this place a chance.

I used to live in Texas for the longest time with my mother, and she took me to this place, being her and my fathers favorite chinese place in the area. I ALWAYS, ALWAYS got amazing service and food. Atmosphere was the way it should be, but atmosphere can blow itself, the food and people is where it is at. Usually went simple thing like Sesame or Orange chicken with Crab Rangoons. (The rangoons spoiled me for every single other to date, DARN YOU.) Me and my mother were always greeted kindly by Lucy, who at the time, was the manager, (Or at least I believe she was the manager.) This guy who reviewed 9 months ago, I dont like him right off the bat. If you really want to understand why this place is so good, go eat there, dont take my word for it, and CERTAINLY not these other people. Shout out to Lucy from Chris and Ellen Godfrey, biggest fans of your restaurant.

It hard to find a Chinese rest that has very good food. This restaurant was found on our way home from working all day in a market selling handmade crafts. We love supporting our city and surrounding local mom and pop restaurants. The food at this restaurant was amazing! It was served hot and was very good, I had the orange chicken w/o the spice. The best I have ever had, not overly sweet. My hubby had the Mongolian beef the best he has had. Its rare I eat egg rolls/spring rolls, most taste horrible. My hubby was disappointed, he didnt get to eat mine. This restaurant is on the other side of town from us. I will make the drive every time I want Chinese food. I wont go anywhere else again.

We used to order from this restaurant once a week for delivery. The last time we ordered they never delivered it. We called & were told it was on the way. We waited & it never came. We called again & then left messages. No one called us back to follow up. We dont order from there any more. Too bad. The food was good. 10-13-2013: Since i wrote this review, we have given this restaurant several more chances to regain our business. Instead of placing online orders, I now only call my order over the phone. We havnt had any problems, orders have been delivered, & food was good. Will continue to order from here as long as they continue to follow thru with deliveries.

My husband and I have been going here for about six months now and just last night we walked in to grab our pick up and saw that they remodeled a large amount of the place, I have to say it looks wonderful! We decided to stay it was just the two of us and it was very nice and romantic. About the food my husbands favorite is Lo Mein with Spicy Mongolian Beef, which is amazing! I have always gotten the sushi and I personally dont like it (I prefer sushi at other places) BUT I have to say all Lo Mein and Meat here are delicious! They might have worked on making the menu better after the remodeling(: I give this place an A !
