I went to this restaurant last Sunday for lunch with a friend for the first time. It was near my home and I just wanted my friend to have a taste of my Vietnamese heritage (wish I still lived with my mom). I’ve been to a lot of great Vietnamese restaurants across the country so I may be overly critical, but the food was disappointing at this particular restaurant. I had the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (Rice vermicelli noodles w/ charbroiled pork, egg rolls, and vegetables), Goi Cuon appetizer (Spring rolls), and my friend had the Pho Bo (Beef noodle soup). First, the spring rolls ($3.95 for 2): The worst I’ve ever had. My friend said the shrimp had no flavor; I agreed. It had only noodles, shrimp, bean sprouts and chopped iceberg lettuce. It needed cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon, Thai basil, or Chinese chives. A slice of an apple or another sweet and tart flavored fruit would have been really nice to balance the flavors. It should have also had an option to have pork as well. The rolls were rather bland even with the peanut hoisin dipping sauce. Presentation was poor considering the lack of color (due to the lack of ingredients) and the thickness of the rolls could have been more uniform...Im just being really picky now. Overall rating would be 2.5/10. Second, the rice noodle salad ($6.50): The only positive point was that the noodles were prepared correctly, not over or under-cooked. My friend said the pork tasted pretty good and it was fairly tender. I thought it was okay, even though it was missing the garlic and spice flavors normally associated with it. The egg rolls had familiar flavoring though it was very small in diameter (could have used more filling) and the wrapper could have been crunchier. This dish was also missing essential vegetables: mint or Thai basil, carrots, scallions and cucumber. The nuoc cham (fish sauce) was bland and would have been better with lime, Thai chilies, or pickled carrots and daikon. Presentation was poor; it looked like it was thrown together by a toddler or someone who didn’t care. The overall rating would be 3/10. Third, the beef noodle soup ($6.50): My friend thought the broth was fairly good. It had a rich aroma and good flavor though it didn’t quite have the flavor with which I’m familiar. It was suppose to have rare and cooked beef but only came with the cooked beef. This dish was also missing the most essential vegetables: Thai basil, mint, lime slices, sliced chili peppers, and scallions. It did, however, come with bean sprouts and cilantro. Culantro leaves would have been a nice alternative to the cilantro. It would have added more texture to the dish. Presentation was poor since it was missing color and arrangement (due to the missing vegetables). The overall rating would be 4/10. In the end the service was okay and the portions were about right for the price. The food needs work and the atmosphere not all that inviting. Some background music would have been nice. I am likely to not go back to this restaurant. I plan on trying the other Vietnamese Restaurants in Omaha in the near future and hope its better than this one.

Wonderful healthy food for a good price! The family owned Vietnamese restaurant is great, small, but great dishes for the price. The chef prides himself in making everything fresh and not frozen. He loves the customers and greets them when not too busy. Their menu is simple and worth trying each menu item, no two similar plates have the same taste. Each dish brings its own unique taste. I love that almost all their food is healthy and delicious to eat, I highly recommend their Beef salad with a side of rice. Its not the typical American salad dish you are thinking. Their Boba drinks are delicious, ask for less sugar if you are not a super sweet person. The Spring rolls in their appetizer with their unique peanut sauce is delicious. Their soups are delicious, but as a meat eater, I desire more meats or variety of meats. But even without the extra meat, it fills you up and it is tasty. Their curry dishes are also very delicious, I had the pleasure to visit the restaurant multiple times and try almost all their curry dishes. My biggest positives is their healthy dishes, I never have regrets after eating their food. I would rather eat here than any other fast food or expensive restaurant. Try some of these Dishes: 1. Steer Fried Lemon Grass Chicken. 2. Beef Salad with a side of rice. 3. Charbroiled Chicken/beef. 4. Cat Fish 5. Yellow Curry shrimp/chicken 6. Spring rolls 7. Boba tea I would list more, but their names escape my mind. Also the hours that are opened are unique.

I have no idea why they ranked so high from others. Either theyve never had authentic Vietnamese food or have not yet traveled outside of Omaha to try anything else. Im originally from Minnesota where we were busting at the seams with amazing Vietnamese restaurants from all over the metro so Ive tried my share of Vietnamese dishes. My husband and I went to eat there just to try it out the other day. It was horrible! The place didnt seem too clean or updated but I didnt care too much (other than maybe it could reflect the kitchen?). We ordered spring rolls and it came out in three ingredients --- the wrap, tons of lettuce in huge chunks, and small pieces of shrimp. The sauce was pretty much watered down peanut butter. I had to add hoisin sauce and a little siracha sauce to make it actually stick to my spring roll instead of it dripping off like water. The other dishes came out like we couldve cooked it home and came in small portions. We decided well never return.

I came here for a bubble tea, but left wishing I could have a to go cup of the red curry instead. I ordered the red curry chicken and a mango bubble tea. The food came quickly and was plenty for such a low price (6.95). The first reason I give this 3 stars is because the chicken was clearly very roughly cut, and some fat and gristle made its way to my plate. Other than that the chicken had good flavor, the red curry sauce was AMAZING and the peppers and onions were delicious as well. I ordered my bubble tea to go for dessert. It was blended like a smoothie. I dont know what kind of powdered flavor they used, but it was not to my taste. Finishing it was not worth the carbs, so I didnt. From my one experience I recommend going elsewhere if you want a drink like this, and the second reason it receives 3 stars.

I used to eat at this place a lot. Today, I went back and ordered their shrimp spring roll and my usual grilled pork chop. I was terribly disappointed! The dipping sauce for the spring roll was watered down - no taste at all! The spring roll itself was super fat and tasted bland - it was full of soggy vermicelli noodles. The grilled pork chop didnt taste marinated at all. I literally had to pour all of the sauce to my rice/plate to give it a little bit of taste. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I agree with the an earlier reviewer... go elsewhere!

Id been craving curry, and was pleased to see some listed on the menu. I tried the green curry with chicken and am delighted to report that it was amazing. My husband got the yellow curry with beef and I couldnt decide which was better. We started with the hot & sour soup, which is a huge quantity and different from the usual hot & sour but also very delicious. 5/7 perfect score, will come back.
