One of the greatest places for fried chicken that Ive ever had. Not that I want to get your hopes up for this establishment but they truly have some great tasting fried chicken. They offer family dinners like any other place and the prices are pretty reasonable. if you have a large order you may want to call ahead because it does get busy some evenings and on weekends for sure. They have a small eat in area but are bigger for take out for you to enjoy at home. If you are tired of the chains or the grocery store chickens give the king a try and you will find a hidden gem in St Charles.

Based on these other reviews, I thought I would be in for a treat. Wrong. The chicken breasts were incredibly small and the entire meal was extremely greasy & not very tasty at all. So bad I couldnt even eat most of it and threw it away. Whats worse is that I even told them I was a first time customer when I called in the order. They did not serve a meal worthy of repeat business.

I ran across I King Edwards by accident a couple of years ago on a Sunday morning after a night in St Charles. We noticed the place at 11:30 am and there were a few other people waiting for them to open. Always a good sign, and the rest is history! Ive brought a lot of people down from pike county illinois to enjoy the food and vibe. Nothing like it at home. Love it!

DIRTY...Long wait...cashier was rude...I ordered ahead and all my food was sitting on the counter when I arrived and it took the girl 15 min to realize that was my food and she finally bagged it up and I asked if they had hot sauce and she said yes and pointed...but when I said there wasnt any over there she said ok....and continued to do what she was doing.

It was okay. I thought the fried chicken was good, except not very much real seasoning to the batter or chicken. The Mac and cheese was good except it was really clumpy. The fried pickles were seasoned well and crispy. So overall, good but could be better. Very busy, so maybe I came when they were rushed to get that much chicken out

Only chicken Ill eat! Been eating here since I was a kid and dont plan to ever stop. All of the food is amazing and the baked beans and coleslaw is always super fresh. The mashed potatoes are always spot on too. Friendly staff that gets you in and out in no time. They really make you feel like family here!

This place is awesome! I went there with my in-laws for the first time. They gave enough time to work out what we wanted and then told us what type of family meals we could order to save money. Just OK. Chicken was already cooked and in warming trays. Lukewarm when I got home. Too much batter. Instant potatoes were runny, red beans & rice were seasoned very hot & tasted like hot sauce. Not good at all. Not worth going again
