Food was good but small, the double cheese "burger" was a 2 meat single cheese smashed down slider, but it was delicious to be fair. The "large" chilli and (sliced) cheese fries were so small i was afraid to ask what a small looked like, they possibly gave me a small even though i paid for large, who knows. Price is a bit up there considering you can get the same food with slightly less flavor at white castle for cheaper. Waitress started out as rude and quickly became friendly. This place is cash only. All in all i left satisfied with the taste but disappointed with price and size

Went to Bates burgers today and was very disappointed. There was twice as much bun than burger and they forgot to put grilled onion on then. Then they open a vacuum sealed bag of chopped raw onion to add to the burgers which really tasted horrible like the plastic bag they came in. Oh and they werent serving fries because no one wanted to take 30 min to clean the fryer. Never again! Back to Brays in Westland

Went into the store to order food. Upon placing order with one of the ladies some guy on the grill yelled as loud as he could "we dont have any of those!" everyone in there heard him. I replied with ok well just two with everything and he replied with "two of what!?" Again yelling as loud as he could. I have been a loyal customer to Bates for 10 years and I will never go back.

This place is awesome! Breakfast is delicious and a full meal for the morning for two is about $10...$24 a block down at the Coney...Plus you can watch them make it fresh at the counter. Burgers are awesome too...And the fries rock. The only downside I could see is it is cash only, but so am I so rock your plastic at the boring Coney a block down.

Been going here for years. I wish I could have attached a picture of the double hamburger we both received. Size of an egg. Thin as a piece of Bologna, tore half of bun to fit it. This is not the first time this has happened but it is my last time... Especially the price you pay now. No heart in cooking anymore. I wish they could have ate this.

If your looking for that old timey feel "greasy burger joint" or just looking for a quick and fresh bite to eat, this is your place. Fantastic service, employees that are actually personable, and a fantastic meal without braking the bank. In my opinion, this is also the best Bates.

First time here and love it! Food is fresh and hot and quick might I add. Now I got a burger spot to go to instead of these commercial burger corps.... Lol oh yea then they have picture windows and the view is great especially on a sunny day.

The menu is simple. The food is good. The service is fast. The location is historic and the management have chosen to keep the original menu without many embellishments. If you need several hundred options, go to some other restaurant.

The Telway of Farmington! Top notch authentic sliders, with the perfect blend of onions and pickles. Good airy chocolate shakes- no brain freeze- and staff that know their customers by name. Old school cool.

Great burgers (sliders) but they have a great breakfast special. I got bacon ,eggs hash browns,toast coffee with a side of gravy for around 6 bucks ,basted eggs perfect.
