Not your typical Indian fare (e.g., chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, naan). The many dosa dishes with the dipping sauces are tasty, enormous, and satisfying. Always, always, always get a dosa. However, I am often disappointed with their other entrees. While the rice dishes are tasty, the portion sizes are lacking. We ordered another rice dish thinking that they would improve after relocating from Carroll Gardens to Fort Greene, but again we were disappointed. From now on, were only ordering dosas.

There were 5 pieces of baby eggplant for my $12 entree and they didnt even cook the flavor into the eggplant. Ordered an additional entree for a proper meal, the spinach and paneer dosa. The spinach was sour. The little bit of paneer was shredded, which I wasnt expecting. The crispy parts of the dosa bread were good and the paratha but definitely not worth the $36 I ended up spending. Never going back.

We recently visited Dosa Royale for a birthday dinner celebration. We were warmly greeted. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was authentic and delicious. The portions were good and our group of eight left feeling full. Our favorite dishes were the Shrimp Kolumbu, Tamarind Rice (w/fried egg), Onion Rava Dosa, and the mango lassi. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I have been craving idli at work since so long finally found my new obsession. I ordered the idli and the samosa chat and they both turned out better than I expected. The samosa chat is not like the other ones Ive had here before and theirs is perfect. Cant wait to try the other items on the menu. So happy this exists in Brooklyn !! South Indian me is super Happy :)

CASH ONLY!!!! Know this ahead of time. There is a cash machine on the premises. Very good food. Decent portion for the price. Dont worry if the dining room seems empty as you walk in. There is a chill patio in the back; thats probably where most patrons are.

This place probably is only for dosas - which is very oily/greasy too. We tried vada - soaking in oil. And eggplant kulambu - very very oily. Stomach didnt feel very good. Hopefully they dont reuse used oil, you never know

The curries and rice here are amazing: very fresh and well-spiced. It is not just dosas here: try the curries. Worth every penny to get Indian food that is this good. Best in the neighborhood in my opinion.

Really nice menu with a good mix of options, some staples and some unique stuff. Not enough places have Dosas and these are good. Not the cheapest place but very very good and not as oily as some Indian.

I ordered Poori Bhaji and a Rawa Dosa and they both were delicious and authentic south Indian (I am from South India). The waitress was sweet and serene like the garden of the restaurant where we sat.

Excellent mix of dosas and drinks. (Great for vegetarians too). Went on a Saturday night and was packed (as most places are). Best Indian food in Brooklyn by far. Highly recommend it.
