I got so piss off from this restaurant!! If there is a zero star, I wont rank as one star. They dont worth it! The story happened yesterday. We held a meeting and we ordered food 5 days before. They promised the food will come with 55 utensils. The first time of they delivered, they only brought food without any utensils. So they came the second time with forks plates spoon and chopsticks but no napkin. And third time, at first they were not willing to come over give us napkin. We were meet at meeting room not a house party, only napkin we can get was the tissues from bathroom. Thats too weird. So they came third with the napkin. All above are no the things piss me off. The thing made me mad was they didnt even give us 55 utensils, not even 40!! I was so piss off!! We already delayed 40 minutes to have dinner, now you are saying we dont have utensils?! What they want us to do? Just sitting there and watch other people eat? How can they run business without reputation without good service!Thats totally unacceptable! I would not order from China Star anymore!!

Its pretty much like a [very good part of] Chinatown in Lowell. Food quality is ALMOST the same (itll never be the same because you have to understand that Chinatown is good because improvements come with competition, as people move or copy from one another, where Chinatown has a lot of this while outside of the city much less so), about the same dish choices (to be clear I only do the Dim Sum), lots of customer and staff traffic and noise, table cloth, utensils, plates, cups, chairs, and fish tanks are identical to your Chinatown restaurants, and prices are about the same too. The building is a few years old, so they have few big screen TVs, which is probably for banquets..... Dont expect to see sports, movies or news to be playing. The advantage is ample parking, but there may be a wait during peak times, and the restaurant has plenty of tables, but that too may have a wait if you go during peak times. Overall, great food, good service, and convenient to park and be seated pretty quickly.

Their foods are amazing. We usually go to Boston Chinatown to get real authentic Chinese dishes, but now we go to China Star Dim Sum for Sunday Dim Sum, or late night dinner or for special event such as mothers day. We love sea food, so our favorites are, steamed oysters with black bean, clam on black bean sauce with pea pod stems ( some called it Snow Pea Leaves) with garlic sauce, steamed fish with ginger and scallion, lobster with ginger and scallions to go with either white rice or sometime house special fried rice or this salted fish fried rice (if you are real adventurous). We sometime order mixed sea food on bird nest and other typical either chicken, duck or bee. My favorite drink there is Mai Tai or Tsing Tao beer for a hot day. They do have a wide selection of mixed drinks, wines and beers. Highly recommend for a night out or a group celebration.

There arent many places that serve dim sum away from Chinatown in Boston but China Star Dim Sum Lounge is one such place and I am very happy to say that the food tastes delicious and it is a popular place for local Asians. There is a big parking lot in the back that sometimes still gets full. But they have dim sum until well after lunch time so if youre flexible on when you want to go, there will be parking available. Unlike the newer style dim sum places, here the nice ladies still push around the carts. They are pretty good about describing the foods, but if youve never been, bring someone who has been there before to make it an easier experience. Love the food and the manager is a great guy!

Sooo not sure what was going on the day we hit the place up. My friend had turned 40 and we wanted a drink to start our afternoon off. It could have been 3pm... So yes were day drinking. Never got to though. There was a woman behind the bar so we tried to get her attention but another woman came over to wait on us even though we were sitting at the bar. I ordered a beer (this was too complicated) and my friend actually ordered a mixed drink which she changed to Jameson and coke when the waitress looked confused. The woman leaves. No drinks. Finally the bartender asks us what we want, we repeat.

Probably one of the best Dim Sum places outside of China Town in Boston. As is customary, the ladies who push the Dim Sun carts will pressure you into taking something when you are not quite sure what it is. Its all tasty but think fast because if you are not ready for chicken feet or the like, just smile and say "No Thanks".

This is our go to Chinese restaurant in Lowell. Staff is excellent, service is great, and food is consistent and good. Good prices on the combination specials if you cant both decide on the same thing. Also serves Dim Sum with all kinds of good food to choose from. Can count on always getting a good meal.

I went to China Star on a regular basis for months when i was working second shift. They are open late, and their quality is great even at 12:30 am. I have never been disappointed by anything I ordered, and I’ve been all over the menu. I love their soft shell crab, salt & pepper calamari, and BBQ pork rolls.

Finally tried it out after my goto Chinese restaurant was too greasy. The restaurant has an amazing decor, the servers are great, theres Chinese beer to try, and you get large portions of food for a good price that tastes good as well. Their mixed drinks are tasty and strong as well.

Lots of options. They even have abalone here. BUT it is very pricey. The drinks are nice and strong. You can get frog legs, soft shell crab, duck, head on shrimp. Almost like youre in china town. Love it. 4 stars because it is not always consistant in taste.

It looks cheesy, but this place is a local favorite for dim sum. (The regular menu is disappointing, eat before 3pm.) Meat in a bun, shrimp dumplings, and various weird stuff - try it all. Go with friends and dont worry about getting vegetables in quantity.

I was having a dinner with different family members and family friends, the food was great, one of the members understand Vietnamese but while we was eating, my sister found a small rope in her food, it looked like noodles but good thing she didnt ate it

Overall it was decent. Service was good, food was swell. I enjoyed the crab ball! The lounge is a relaxed enviroment, also there is a good taste of soothing chinese music. Sad that they didnt have the egg custard desert even though it was 2pm.

Great place for dim sum and way closer than Chinatown. The dishes are very fresh and the food tastes delicious, make sure to arrive early in the morning as it might get crowded. This is our go to place for dim sum, I highly recommend it.

This is our favorite dim sum restaurant near where we live. Dim sum dishes are freshly cooked. And there are a lot of varieties for you to choose from. This review is only for the dim sum and I have not tried items on their menu.
