ODENS BBQ-STEAKS-AND MORE is a good place to eat....But not great! I did not have a steak there are great Steak Houses in the Belton Raymore Area such as Texas Roadhouse thats where I would go for a steak. But This place has pretty ok BbQ. I had the turkey and sausage on the long bun and like i said its good but this being the Kansas City area if you want great bbq there are several amazing Bbq places not far from Odens. The bbq beans and coleslaw we pretty ok as well. The do however have great Sweet Tea with the perfect amount of sugar. Others in my party had the chicken Philly sandwich and did not care for it at all. Another person in my party had the Monterey chicken sandwich also not real happy with their selection AT ALL! I might go back to Odens if Im hungry and in the neighborhood but most certainly woundnt go out of my way too.and if I had friends or family from out of town craving Kansas City Bbq i probly woundnt suggest Odens!!!

I got the special, country fried chicken, it was pretty good and just the right amount for the price. My wife got a pulled pork sandwich and it was really good with just the right amount of sauce, not too overpowering. I will never understand why Kansas City prefers to slather all meats with sugar sauce. Unfortunately vinegar based sauce is not an option, however this was a pretty good sugar sauce.

We dont travel down N Scott much and did not know they reopened after the fire. We missed this place and love the food plus free ice cream. The layout is the same and we never experienced bad service. Somewhat of a local small town dive, but that gives it its character. KC has many good BBQ places to go to and this one is on my togo list

This is a great family restaurant. Ive been coming here for almost 30 years and havent been disappointed yet. They recently remodeled and everything looks great. Staff is exceptional, they are always smiling and the food is so good people make special trips from Arkansas, Carthage, etc just to eat here!

The waitress when we got there made the comment that it was a waste of her time to be there. She then when we asked for more time to decide said within earshot of our table "well if people could just make up their mind". Food was pretty good but service was not so great.

We got sat immediately. The drinks and food were brought out quickly. The food was yummy. The service was great....our cups were always full, and table clear. A special thanks to Jamie for her great service, and for making my grandpas birthday dinner special for him.

Patron for over a decade. My variety platter I ordered came without my ribs SAD FACE, and my brother ordered and paid for extra brisket w his meal - Didnt get it! They remodeled, not impressed. Also our waitress has been there a while... Not going back!

The food is incredible! Always has been. Lots of BBQ in KC, this is the best "no-frills" joint around. Service can sometimes be a smidge off, but thats Belton for you. Definitely worth adding to your lunch or dinner out rotation though.

The service is good long term wait staff. The food preparation and cooking i.e. steak undercooked and burnt ends more like pulled pork, left me disappointed. Thats just my experience. My friends really love it.

Absolutely my favorite BBQ place in Kansas City. Small mom and pop restaurants do it right. I recommend the fried pickles and pulled pork. They also serve free ice cream after dinner.
