Ive been going to this restaurant from the day they opened and noticed how their quantity changed since then. I dont like giving bad reviews and Ive never left a bad review for any restaurant till now although Ive had really bad experiences from a lot of places but this restaurant beats them all. Everytime I order Family pack which I do pretty much twice a week, if I dont tell them to put enough masala there will be little to no masala in the biryani. Their mirchi salan is always watered down, even though I tell them to not do this. When I was pregnant a year ago, I ordered daal gosht from them everyday for at least 2 months then they started cutting down on portions so I stopped. I decided to try it again since its been a year now. My husband asked them to make it enough meat so these lovely people decided to just give us beef meat instead of goat! Which is absolutely cheating. And, yes I understand the difference between goat and beef meat. Owners definitely dont care about customer service, all they want is money.

1.0 star rating 8/6/2016 This place is the absolute worst. First I received the order wrong, then the manager would not send another driver to bring me a new order, instead I had to go back and re-order and would have to wait for another hour and a half delivery. The manager was rude, greedy, and extremely unpleasant. When I finally did get my order (3 hours after ordering) it was terrible...in fact I have been throwing up red chicken all morning. dont waste your time, Ill never go here again EDIT: THE RESTAURANT IS NOW CALLING ME AND HARASSING ME FOR GIVING THEM A BAD REVIEW! THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK UNLESS I TAKE DOWN THIS REVIEW...JERKS! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

We tried Chicken 65, Goat Curry, Garlic Naan, and Mango Lassi. The Chicken 65 was very tender and fresh. The Goat Curry was also delicious. The Garlic Naan was also so good. My daughter and I enjoyed the Mango Lassi. The service was very quick and friendly. The price is very reasonable and the restaurant is very clean. We all had a very good experience. There are so many items I want to try next time, such as Goat Biryani, Chili Naan, and the ice cream. We would definitely come back! Highly recommend!!!!

We are disappointed on this visit, we ordered paneer paratha thinking it will be freshly made but it turns to be deep frozen paneer paratha and still they claim it freshly made. We eat that frozen paratha regularly so its hard to cheat us. Rest of food like Palak paneer and naan were good. Dont buy parathas, they do cheat you.

WE TRIED CHICKEN JALFREZI AND BUTTER CHICKEN BUT THE TASTE WAS HORRIBLE NEVER EVER HAD EATEN EARLIER HARDLY CHICKEN PIECES ONLY TOMATO BELL PEPPER GREEN AND ONION PORTION WAS TOO AND GRAVY WAS TOO LITTLE .ALL DISH HAVE SAME COLOR AND ALMOST ALL DISH HAVE SAME TASTE.SPECIALLY NORTH INDIAN WONT LIKE COCONUT TASTE IN THE GRAVY.

Heavenly, delish, healthy , amazing, delightful, wholesome, tempting, special, tasty, organic, nutritious are some of the words I found on the wall of spice root.. And they truly define the taste and quality of their food.. Loved the food, impressed with the ambience.. My kids loved it too.. Definitely coming back..!!!!

Hands down the best Indian restaurant in Decatur. The wife and I have been through all of them and Spice Root is our favorite. Inauspicious setting and decor helps keep this little known gem from being overrun with customers. Quiet setting with large portions of amazing food is a great weekday date destination.

Had chicken 65 & Goat Biryani love the taste,quality & quantity....& doesnt even hurt my pocket should say they have good food with fair price surely will come back with family. Spice Root keep up the taste & welcome to our neighborhood. Important- Good for my kids as its neat & clean so its hygienic.

The butter chicken was awful with no flavor. Super dry chicken and when I informed the cashier she said you must not know good indian food. I looked at her in disbelief because Im indian myself. Spend your money somewhere else. They are not very clean in food prep and dont care about customers here

Love the pastries here. That is one thing I missed so much that I wanted to start a pastry shop myself. Now I know I dont have to take the trouble. This place serves good pastries, although there is a slight scope for improvement that can bring the quality at par with pastries sold in India.

Great flavorful Indian cuisine served in a no-frills setting. Staff was friendly and courteous. Delicious curries and a very packed menu with many offerings you cannot find at many Indian restaurants. Try the Butter Chicken - you wont be disappointed.

They have the best chicken 65. Their new items like Chicken 65 wrap and Panir Wrap are good too. However, they need to be more prompt in cleaning the tables when a customer leaves. Its disturbing to see dirty tables for the new entering guests.

I have been waiting for this place to open.. I entered and the smell was soo tempting and mouth watering.. I ate the tandoori chicken and I loved it.. chilli naan added the awsmeness to it.. lovedvthe food.. and will come back soon:)

Had lunch there today, was terrific! The staff is incredibly friendly. Had the Chicken Saadwala, the meat was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. Huge flavorful portions as well. Definitely going to be returning!

The food in here is so authentic. I love the shrimp masala with the garlic naan. They also have other sea foods with Indian taste, will definitely be coming again So glad we have a everyday meal spot nearby.
