Unpretentious Indian eatery specializing in regional South Indian cuisine. Superb variety of dosas, idli, vada, uppama, utappam and other favorites. Count it, at least 23 different types of dosas. It is unheard of. And every Wednesday evening is all you can eat dosa and buffet night--the day to experiment with this cuisine. But if thats not your style, they have all the other Indian favorites--curries, rice dishes and wonderful breads. Great seafood, too. We started with an appetizer of Pani Puri. It was as good as any I have tasted on the streets in India. I then had a Priya Special Masala Dosa and my partner went for Mysore Masala Dosa. My Dosa was a good 24+ inches long rolled up and my partners was a 15+ inches triangle. Both filled with traditional masala. The Priya Special was extra hot--just the way I like it. The accompanying Sambar and a pair of sauces provided the perfect accompaniment. In a strip shopping area, you go straight to the counter to order the food. When they have it ready, they will call out or delivery to your table. No frills, just great food. The service people are very helpful and will gladly explain anything you want to know. They even steered me away from a dish they thought I might not enjoy when I explained my expectation. There is a steady flow of takeout orders. Try Priya, you will want to come back.

My family and I really have enjoyed our two visits here. Both times the service was friendly and the restaurant was bustling with new business from the locals who seem to be as happy as us to have found a good family friendly restaurant that wont break the bank. Very clean, not fancy, no wait staff. Its a no frills counter order service restaurant with a traditional menu of veg and non-veg dishes. The food is wonderfully prepared and has a "home style" taste about it. Im sure Ill be back many times!

People here dont respect customers. Your phone orders are joke. I ordered an item through phone which needs time to get prepared and when i reached there while waiting in que the cashier guy gave my order to someone infront of me. When i was about to pick up he asked me to pick something else and didnt feel sorry for what he did. THATS PRIYA RESTAURANT IN SHORT... Go there only if u knw telungu to get respect

Delicious food if you are craving for spicy Indian cuisine ... The Rasam served during lunch is absolutely amazing ... If you are trying to find authentic South Indian food in Chicagoland area... This will be my no.1 choice ... Another good part is the moderate prices, for sure, at this price point, the adequately portioned "Thalis" are a real jackpot !!!

The food is really like homemade indian food. The staff and the overall atmosphere is very friendly. Its a self service restaurant. You place your order at the counter and pick up the food when your buzzer rings. You get very affordable lunch taali with different options on every day of the week. Love the free rasam soup! Must try it.

Last week they charged 15 usd for a veg thali...costlier than a top restaurant. This week I bought a chicken biriyani, but there is no chicken, only rice. Chicken is only 35 cents per pound in restaurant depot, I am going to take to that store and buy chicken for them. Never never buy from this greedy people

Cheap food with loads of spice. Please spare the burning of the insides of your stomach. The UDUPI thali is a joke! I invite whoever cooks that thali to visit bangalore or UDUPI and taste that food before naming it so. I think the place is only for serving ppl who can tolerate extreme spice levels.

Service is on medium side. mango lasso taste like water and at room temperature is undrinkable. Food takes an hour to be prepped. Its definitely on expensive side. I would not give a second thought right away.naan is not made the way its supposed to be. Overall comparable place. I liked the dosas.

Over priced, and lots of waiting time, not managed professionally. Above all, food is not great. They definitely dont drive for great tasting South Indian food. I dont recommend. Instead, try to go to Shree Restaurant in Westmont if you want vegetarian South Indian food.

By far the worst indian restaurant ever, the staff members are completely unprofessional and have no idea how to treat the customer. The manager was really rude. The place itself was not clean at all. Will never make the mistake of going there again.

Great tasting Indian food. If you like south Indian food this might be the best place in lake county. Price is reasonable for the area. Awesome chicken biriyani only thing is to increase the quantity or the box size , staff is very friendly.

Great tasting Indian food. If you like spicy Indian food this might be the best place in lake county. Price is reasonable for the area. This place would get 5 stars if they did a better job at service.

By far the worst Indian food Ive ever had in the US. The Chicken 65 was cold and stale, the Chennai Tiffin thali smelled bad. This restaurant needs massive improvement if it needs to do well.

Veg thali was charged very high around $13, which is very high. I got the Buffet on weekend in Chicago down town for $17. Basically very highly priced. Please guys avoid this restaurant.
