I heard of the good BBQ they serve, and I finally decided to try it out first-hand. I had the rib plate and my wife had the brisket plate. The ribs were tender and tasty without sauce, but then I added sauce on a couple of them and I was in HAWG- Heaven. My wife bragged about the brisket being tender enough to cut with a spoon! My daugther enjoyed her sloppy-joe sandwich too.I had to order more ribs, seasonings, and that sauce to take home! I drove an hour and 40min. for that BBQ and enjoyed the trip!

I asked a Tyler PD officer where to get the best E. Texas BBQ and he sent me to Bodacious Barbecue. I had the chopped beef sandwich--watched them chop right there from lean brisket. Served with HOT (not spicey, but just very warm) sauce, and Blazin Sweet Pickles. The best Ive ever had -- recommend to all visiting the Tyler area. This place beats Rudys (big Texas chain-overpriced/overrated)

Horrible. Food wasnt even hot. It was warm. Im use to bodacious bbq in Marshall and that one right their. Is the best. Never eat here. 15 dollars just to be a waste of time and money. Onions tasted like they have been frozen over time. Only thing I could say was good. Was that sweet country lemonade

Ive been making the rounds to all of the bbq joints in Tyler to find the best. Maybe it was the time of day(3 pm) but the ribs and brisket tasted like theyd been under the heat lamp too long. The sauce was quite good, which helped cover the dryness of the meat.

I always enjoy a good juicy sandwitch from Bodacious. Just one comment to the management . Please remove the unsightly signs blocking the view out the windows. We like all the antique western decor, but we also enjoy being able to see out the windows.

Everybody in East Texas knows Bodacious is the best barbecue in the state. I had to take off some stars for this location because they have no fountain drinks and no jalapeños on the condiment cart. Also lots of supply boxes stacked in the hallways.

7-23-16 Beef was 12.99 lb on website and 16.99 in store Turkey was 12.99 on website and 16.99 in store They wouldnt honor the website price. This is not fair.

I ordered a sloppy joe because I have not had one in a while. It was nothing but barbecue sauce. I threw it in the trash and ordered a slice beef sandwich.

This place is the best bbq in Tyler. They have the best bbq sauce. Order a Chopped beef sandwhich lots of suace, chips, and iced tea and thank me later.
