I was always hesitant to stop in due to the busy location and lack of easy parking. But today I figured Id stray from my trusty $tarbuck$ and support the local little guy. My Americano was weak and watery. And it was obvious the barista was less than excited to be there. Or serve me. Or maybe just having a bad day. Or maybe she didnt feel well. Either way...dont care. A mere 10 minutes in the door and I couldnt wait to leave. I love supporting the local guys, especially in my neighborhood...but not even the coffee made up for poor attitude and mediocre location. I dont foresee returning. There are many more small businesses are here to support.

The owner is a super cool lady who hires super cool staff and has locations in two great places. The W 7th location has a fantastic downstairs area that is great for quiet study or quiet conversations. The upstairs is beautifully lit from the big picture windows and, like most coffee shops, bustling. The crowd here are definitely locals and its is really a wonderful place for St. Paul to hold in high esteem.

They make their own syrups! I had a St Paddys which was amazing. Its like a high quality Mounds Bar with espresso. The parking can be tricky, but we live close enough to walk. The only down side is they close at 4, so no late afternoon reading/study opportunity. Oh well.

Neat little shop. But it really is "wee sized." If you just want a cup of top quality coffee to go, this will meet your needs... Not much room inside to sit. Would recommend going to their flagship shop on 7th if you are looking to sit down and eat.
