The atmosphere is authentic. The historic culture of this city and the people is euphoric. It is tastefully woven in to these walls and the regular patrons of this establishment. The employees are gems who ensure you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in...truly a special place to escape where you can enjoy the atmosphere and embrace a piece of America that is rarely seen...oh and the food is outstanding and the coffee is a plus. A wonderful getaway...

If you like Jambalaya and have not tried it here you are missing out! It is the best dish this side of New Orleans. In fact I never had better even in new Orleans! The rices and vegetables were cooked just right to absorb the flavors, but not mushy. And it has a kick to it that will get your attention on the first taste, but really settles in my the third spoonful. Loved it Jag

Everytime I visit Golden Thyme it is a great experience. The staff are pleasant and professional. The food is great and the atmosphere is always welcoming. As a person of color I feel safe in their space. Also, I appreciate the community board because it is always up to date with activities worth engaging in!

This is a fabulous community coffee shop, the type of place where people come in the door and call you by name (and give you a hug or a high-five). The atmosphere is low-key and friendly, with the best baristas in Saint Paul! The food and coffee drinks are delicious and reasonably priced.

Mike and his family have one of the nicest coffee shops I visit. Clean, friendly, welcoming are just a few attributes I use to describe their shop. I couldnt ask for more in any coffee shop. I can say I always enjoy my visits there. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

I was here for the first time last night for the Thursday "Open Mic." Ended up having a lemonade with a croissant, the croissant was scrumptious and the lemonade was sugary just how I like it. Besides the food, the atmosphere was really homey and humble, will be back.

Great place. Nice tight neighborhood feel. Overheard a conversation between two gentlemen about their past experience with signing a record deal back in the 70s. If you need to get away from it all for a bit, it’s a great pit stop.
