I am ONLY writing for cakes. I LOVE cake; but I only eat good ones. The Tres Leches cakes from Cafe Latte are some of my favorite cakes on planet Earth (I have been to other countries with good cakes). I recently just ordered one, and I decided to write a review on it. Here goes: Original Flavor: Online Description: Tres Leches or “Three Milks” – sweetened condensed, cream and whole milk poured over rich sponge cake and finished with whipped cream and fresh fruit – incredible! Review: This is my personal favorite. The flavor made by the combination of the three milks-soaked cake is marvelous. The cake could not be softer nor moister, yet it is not a soggy wet cake. The cream surrounding the cake is the best cream I have ever had. Usually, when eating a creamy cake or cupcake, I eat the cake and throw away the creamy part. I CANNOT do this with the Tres Leches’s cream! It is not overpoweringly sweet and made of nothing but sugar like many frostings are. It is light and fluffy, and it melts right in your mouth! The overall proportion of cake and cream was also perfect! The only thing I think they could have improved upon is that they could cut down the sugar a little. Chocolate Flavor: Online Description: Chocolate Tres Leche Our traditional tres leche frosted with 72% Belgian chocolate whipped cream Review: I personally did not enjoy this one as much as the original flavor. Not that it was bad or anything, yet the chocolate and the three milks combination did not turn out as good as just plain ole’ Tres Leches. If you want to get it, do not buy the big cake. Salted Caramel Flavor: Online Description: Salted Caramel Tres Leche Traditional Tres Leches drizzled with salted caramel Review: Delicious! It was definitely better than the chocolate, and it even rivaled the original! It tasted quite like the original, yet it had an interesting twist to it. The salted caramel was not too sweet, in fact, it was a bit salty, something that made the cake quite delicious. This cake was not super-sweet like the original, and it had a great flavor! The cream was made into a delicacy by itself with the added tint of caramel. Mint Flavor: Do not waste your time nor tongue. It is just normal Tres Leches with some mint flavoring and green food coloring. It does not taste as good. Tiramisu Flavor: Not too horrible, I guess. It is just a combination of Tiramisu and Tres Leches. If you want to eat Tiramisu, then eat Tiramisu; if you want to eat Tres Leches, then eat Tres Leches. I personally would not eat this cake again. Ranking: 1. Original Flavor, it is still the best. 2. Salted Caramel, very nice flavor and not too sweet. 3. Chocolate and Tiramisu flavor tie. Both are not too good, but not too bad either. 5. Mint flavor. BUY CAKE!

We really enjoy eating at Cafe Latte for the food. As a parent though I have some issues. First, parking can be impossible on the street, and the garage is expensive for just eating lunch. Today I just left when there were no parking spots. It is also difficult to juggle my toddler, our trays, and find a table by myself. There is sometimes someone on staff that can help, but during busy hours staff are not always available and its nearly impossible to get upstairs with trays, strollers and children by oneself. I have waited for 30 minutes once next to a table that needed to be clraned so that we could sit downstairs. The high chairs originally had wheels on them which was a great idea to get through the line, but theyre now mostly broken and rarely clean (and how would you get them upstairs?). If you bring kids, bring a helper! One other aggravation is that I often get skipped in the long line due to staff behind the counter just helping whomever they look at first instead of thinking about or asking who might have actually been waiting the longest. I find this to be rude, and I wish it didnt happen nearly every time I go. Many times Ive had to ask cross the line for a staff member to serve me. I think they should be looking to help waiting customers, as there are usually plenty of staff behind the counter. Ive also encountered rude cashiers who are on the phone and/or lack communication skills. There is no excuse for ignoring customers. However, they are generous with my toddler, often giving her free snacks, and the value of money spent is well worth dealing with some inconveniences on occasion. I would be there every week if it were easier to get through the line and easier to get help, but the food is always fresh and yummy when we do decide to endure a little frustration.

The cake and coffee was great. No doubt. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience here at Cafe Latte. Ive heard such great things about this place and was excited to try it out. When my friend and I finally found a seat after waiting a while to get our cake and coffee, there was a man who came and told my friend and I to move out of our table that we had been sitting at because it was too busy. He directed us towards a two top that was in a poor location. It was very unexpected and rude. After waiting in the long line for more coffee, we pulled out our books and laptop to work. The same man comes up to us again and tells us that Cafe Latte does not allow us to do any studying or the like during weekends and busy times. I again, was shocked. Ive been a waitress before and this is simply unacceptable. Busy or not, if customers came in and paid for food or drinks, they were considered customers. It is extremely rude to come and tell customers they only have 30 minutes to stay at the table. There were no signs on our table stating that it was reserved for 3 or more people nor did we see signs anywhere stating that no laptops or books were allowed during busy hours or on the weekends. The waiter told us that there was a coffee shop across the street, which we could work at. We would have had to pack up all of our things, head over to the coffee shop, wait in line yet again, and purchase more coffee. Which is a very unthoughtful request. Overall, I really hoped that this would be a great but it turned out to be a pretty terrible experience. A note however, the man who was busing tables on the second level was very kind and should get a raise.

I am a local that frequently stops at this establishment but that will change starting today. We went for lunch with a friend and our kids as we usually do. There were many tables of children in the cafe probably because story time at the Red Balloon down the street had just ended. 1st we were approached by an older woman that asked us if we were going to leave by noon because she has a very important meeting with her banker and she needs some serious help(not the type of place I would go if I needed to have an important meeting with my banker). 2nd the OWNER then came over and told us we needed to corral and quiet our children (2 children are 2 years old and 1 child is 5 months old) as if we werent constantly aware of what out children are doing. (enter sarcasm) After that happened 2 customers in the establishment made it a point to come over and tell us our kids are adorable. (Thank you normal people who understand that when you go out in public you will encounter kids)
