Overall, Ay Caramba is fantasic. Friendly service is sometimes hard to find in Asheville restaurants, but not at this place. Finding fresh Mexican food in Asheville is also a challange, but every time we order food from here, the produce and ingredients always seem to be so...even their homemade salsas. Its cheap, and unlike many other places in Asheville, you dont have to wait 45-60 minutes for a party of two. It is located outside of the desirable west or central areas of the city...its in a rundown plaza in the Oakley area...but is well-worth the visit. We live near this place and it has become a "go to" when we are really hungry, want good food, but dont want to break the bank or wait half a lifetime to eat. the tortas are some of the best weve ever had anywhere.

We dont come to Black Mountain but 2 or 3 times a year. However, we love Mexican Restaurants, and we thought we had found the perfect restaurant. Boy, were we wrong! My Brother and Sister-in-law told us about Ay Caramba, and that we should give it a try. Well we did, and we did not regret it. Wonderful service and excellent food. When our chip basket was almost empty, our waitress brought a replacement without even requesting one. Unheard of! Lets not forget the margaritas. Fabulous! Our new favorite!

We love this little out-of-the-way Mexican place. My wife and I are vegans and the staff is quite accommodating in serving our unique dietary needs. Plus they are very friendly and the prices are quite reasonable. Very clean, with a well stocked salsa bar. They also serve alcohol if you are so inclined. Worth a try - I think you will be pleased with the food and the service.

An excellent establishment with a great menu selection.The table side guacamole,prepared fresh in front of you is a great way to start the meal.The employees are very attentive and take very good care of you.I highly recommend two of the house specialties,the Molcajete or La Favorita.

Texas guy here and know my mexican foos. Just awesome all around. Great service at the bar, small local atmosphere, salsa bar fantastic, got two soft tacos one beef, one chicken, so flavorful! Definitely looking forward to coming back again! Thanks for a great food experience.

First time esting here. Just visiting Asheville for the day. Great food and so the service was too. Found the prices to be very reasonable. My husband had the tacos and I had Pollo Con Crema. We would definitely go back again!

Amazing!!! I cant get over how delicious our good was and how friendly the wait staff is. The bartender makes a fantastic Bloody Mary as well. Huge portions, cozy atmosphere, and very affordable. We will definitely be back!

Ate there last week on my vacation. Really good food. Gave you a bean dip with the chips rather than typical salsa, but had a salsa bar you could use and get additional choices. I wouldnt hesitate to go there again.

They got my call in order all wrong! Picked it up on the way home. Too far to drive to return it. Asked for pulled beef chimichangas and they put ground beef in it instead... it was nasty! Shew!
