First off just let me put this disclaimer out there. I came with a group of about 19 people. We knew we would probably not be seated together and that was fine. BUT from the way our entire experience was handled you would have thought they have never had a group setting ever. If took FOREVER for everything. Just to even come take out drink orders took over 10 minutes, then another 15 + minutes to even get out drinks. We had people in our group that needed to leave a bit earlier than the rest of us so we asked if they could take their orders first. Which then proceeded to apparently forgetting about the rest of us. From arriving around 1:30, I did not receive food until about 3:00. The servers were very cold at the beginning, and just acted like we were a major inconvience. They knew we were upset but still put no effort into making our experience better. I just feel like everything could have been handled better and we could have been treated better. At the very end they said that they were sorry they had been short staffed etc. I can actually handle the weight, its the crappy attitudes and lack of trying that upsets me really. Overall the food was good and once they finally took our orders it came out prettt prompt, so kudos to the cooks. But, the front of the house experience was enough for me to never want to go back.

The TGIF in Maple Grove has proved for the 4th time in a row that they DO NOT care about the guest or providing customer service. They will charge you full price for bad service, and in my case over charge you and be okay with it! Spoke with the manager twice in our visit about the service and the waitress ordering the wrong items and she felt no need to fix or offer any way of resolving the problem. We will never go back to TGIF! They DO NOT care about the customer or customer service. If you want to go out to eat and have half your order and over pay for what you did get and be okay with it, then this is the place for you. But if you work hard for your money and want to enjoy an evening out with your family, get what you ordered, have a wait staff that will stop and speak with you, then find another place to dine. The inconsistency of food, drinks, staff, and manners have driven this family away for good! So disappointed! Did learn this though, if you are not happy with your meal or service, you need to actually ASK for a discount because they wont give you one otherwise! Even when they ordered the wrong thing causing you to pay double what you ordered. Sorry, my money is better spent elsewhere! Will never go back!

Endless Apps? Only if you have endless time. Went here with a group of my high school friends after our first year of college to celebrate. From the jump, Michelle our waitress, was incredibly rude to us. We ordered our first round of apps, and in a half hour we received them. Full appetizers for about eight guys in ~30 minutes, totally reasonable even though appetizers are typically brought out much quicker. What the ads dont tell you is after your first appetizer, you only receive half-portions after. This would be fine if they came in half the time. No, instead we waited 50 minutes for round 2 and over an hour for round 3. Luckily we had a lot of catching up to do otherwise the wait time would be even more painful. By the third round michelle acted upset that we, a group of 19 year old boys, could still be hungry. Sorry, 8 nuggets and a couple of potato skins arent gonna do it for me. If youre going to offer endless apps, hire workers who understand that. Dont try to ween us out by ridiculous wait times or saying how this is going to be a lot for the cook to deal with. Get a different job if this is too much for you-- its that simple. My friends and I will not be returning to T.G.I. fridays. No ones got enough time.

They didnt write us down when we first arrived, so everyone after us were seated. After I had asked them about us being down they seated us in the bar area. That was ok. However, it took forever for our order or come. When we did get it our order was messed up. The chicken fried sandwich was fried till it was almost burnt. My son ordered a hamburger medium it was almost raw, and it was my husbands order. My husband ordered a hamburger well and my son got my husbands meat but my sons burger. My youngest ordered boneless chicken wings and there was a hair on them The server was great! She took back my youngest ordered and brought him a new one. Gave us a free dessert. And took the wings off the order. She also was on top of things as far as bringing us drinks and what we needed. She had a great sense of humor. As far as the rest of the business they need to find someone who can handle working under pressure and work a little faster.

My overall rating for the resturant is a half star if it was possible. Other than the fact that I got food in the end my overall experience was terrible. Our family went and ordered some burgers and after a longgggg wait we got served only to look at our plates and see that only one plate of the 4 had more than 5 fries on them. I asked if there was a reason that one plate had a normal amount and the other plates had slim to none and the waiter replys, " O I may have dropped some" in the end she brought out a plate of a few more fries and was rude about the whole thing. When we ate our burgers we noticed that 2 of the burgers were baddly burned. We ate what we could payed and left. In the end we ended up stopping by Mcdonalds to get something for dinner. We will never return to Fridays. There are so many other resturants that value their customers.

My husband and I were intending on dining for his birthday at Benihana next door, but they were closed so we decided to go to TGI Fridays in Maple Grove. It was the WORST experience we ever had, as we didnt even stay long enough to be presented with food! The waitresses look like beat up hookers and their attitudes go along to match. They are rude, disgusting, and as we were walking out due to HORRIBLE service, the "manager" (who was outside the front door smoking) asked us "did you pay for your meal?" The employees are disrespectful, nasty and rude. This is supposed to be a "family friendly" restaurant but the waitresses show their underwear and fat rolls. If I wanted to throw up in my mouth while eating I wouldve taken my husband to deja vu instead! I STRONGLY advise you go to a different restaurant!

Im and executive chef and been in the resturant bizz along time was even a corporate trainer for applebees. And our mozzarella sticks took 13mins and the marinara had a 1/4 strip of bacon in it. Can we say a little cross contamination. And the when my 25$ ribeye comes out its beyond swimming in jack Daniels sauce and half my shrimp was ontop of my steak and soggy from all the sauce, and then i try the steak and ask for med well and its was more meduim which is ok but was unbelievable tough to chew. Even a bad cut of ribeye the top tender should at least be good and no just as tough which means it was microwaved and turn to boot leather to hurry it up. Aweful no excuse they werent even busy. I never plain to go back to this store. Stick to coon rapids store. Great broiler cooks there.
