I loved Trappers when they were located here, but since they moved all the way down Meridian and another sushi restaurant replaced them, I decided to try this place out. I can say with confidence that Sushi Ari is my favorite sushi restaurant in Puyallup, hands down. They used to have a Happy Hour, but now they have 3 rolls for $21.95. There are 5 rolls that are excluded, but other than that, all the rolls on the menu qualify for this amazing deal. My favorite roll is definitely the Rock Star Roll. It has mozzarella cheese on it and some of you may think, "Cheese? On sushi? Ick!," but trust me, its delicious and something Ive never had before eating at Sushi Ari and it makes this restaurant unique. I prefer fresh handmade sushi over conveyor belt sushi and this the place to go! I recommend this sushi restaurant to everyone I know.

Ive been eating sushi for over 30 years all over the country. Sushi Ari is in my top 3 of all time. Fantastic quality fish, all ingredients are fresh and sauces are homemade. They put time into making the little touches perfect ( just the right amount of roe, thin slices of lemon, etc.). They have some unique rolls and favorite standards. I recommend the Shiso tacos, surprisingly worthwhile starter. As others have said, the blushing geisha roll with the pickled dicon is my favorite. Also up there is the Kiss me mucho roll. Owners are friendly and seem to love what they do. Exceptional service and just a general happy vibe. Havent experienced such hospitality in years. My teenage son was humming during his dinner and said every bite was perfect.

Excellent Japanese food! Miso soup and salad were good as starters. Deluxe Sushi Platter was excellent, per husband and son - no "fishy" taste like some other restaurants. Miso soup was typical fare, but the salad was nicely seasoned with a lemony (yuzu?) dressing. My husband was full after he was done with the meal, my 19 year old was content but said he couldve eaten more. I had the Japanese bento and it was very satisfying. Teriyaki steak was seasoned just right. Tempura was very good. Sushi array was also very good as well as the salad. I could only finish about half so took the rest home. We will definitely be coming back when we visit again!

I feel bad leaving a bad review because the service is phenomenal but the sushi was not good. We were the only patrons and started by ordering 3 rolls. They were so bad that we couldnt eat them. We made an excuse to go and they boxed up our sushi. We threw it away when we got home. Maybe it was because they are new and not in the swing of things yet. I hope so for their sake.

Absloutly beats trappers and prices are so good .. I cant put into words how much I love this sushi ... I was a loyal trappers customer until I came to their old location which is here and didnt want to drive all the way down meridian to where they moved so we tried it and now its an every Tuesday meal !!

Friendly service. Wide selection of rolls to choose from. The poke was the only item that was truly tasty. I ordered an assortment of rolls and tempura as well. - The poke was great, but everything else was average. The restaurant offers special deals on certain rolls and combos.

I cant tell you how wonderfully the flavors were layered to compliment each other. Pair that with how fresh everything was, this restaurant is our newly found gem for sushi, at competitive prices too! Thank you for the wonderful dinner and excellent, friendly customer service!

Better than the Trappers Sushi that used to be here, with an all-you-can-eat option too! Friendly staff, and a varied menu. When near South Hill Mall, i wouldnt bother with any other sushi joint. New enough to not be packed all the time too, which is very nice.

Amazing food. I got their California Roll and Ari Roll, and could not have been happier. Everything was fresh, and the rolls were pleasing to the eye as well. Their prices were a bit on the high side compared to similar places I have been to in the past.

Went here for the first time last week. It was really good. They have a sweet happy hour with 3 rolls for 25 bucks. Some of the rolls are up to 13 and 14 for just one.
