We went to El Charro for lunch today on the recommendation of our neighbor-friends. What a wonderful treat it was. Be sure to go hungry. El Charro is owned-operated by a local family and really does Mexican food right! Our server, Carlos/Charlie, was terrific and had great recommendations for us. We had the Molcajete Guadalajara which was plenty for 2-3 people to share (and take home extras) and there are two other variants of the Guadalajara for us to try in the near future. The bar has a decent variety of tap/bottle beers, wine and, of course, margaritas. Plus, they have a pleasant-looking patio for summer use (alas, too cold and windy today to be eating outside). This place is definitely worth trying out if you like authentic, family-style Mexican fare. Well definitely be going back regularly!

Wonderful food, great service and cheaper prices for the amount of food you get...which is an absolutely huge amount. I think it would be a great place to go with a group as they even had a few American options. First time Ive had good mexican food since Ive lived in MN. Their white cheese sauce and homemade guacamole were super yummy.. Only complaint would be that after a while my mouth was burning but Im a wimp when it comes to spice. My hubby didnt think it was spicy at all.

This is the best mexican restaurant we have been to in Farmington/Lakeville area. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is attentive and friendly. Great chips and salsa. Taco Tuesday with huge margaritas. They opened recently and were still not showing up in Google maps last time we went, so I added them. Hopefully more people will find out about them and go have a great meal. :)

Omg!! Excellent food! This was our first visit. The wait staff and management were so friendly and attentive! The food authentic and homemade! So wonderful! This is a family own and operated place! We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door! What a gem! Thank you for such an awesome first visit! We have found our new favorite place!! We will be back soon!

This is the real deal, folks! Excellent authentic "real" mexican food. Attentive service without being intrusive. Very reasonably priced with HUGE portions. As a local resident, Ive eaten here several times and have always been impressed. Great place!

Love the Steak Alambre!!! The servers that we have had when we go there are very nice and you get your food pretty quickly. We order to-go quite a bit and the food is just as good as eating it at the restaurant.
