Quite possibly the worst service Ive ever had. Showed up right at 5 when they supposedly open and the place was already packed with people eating. Waitress came and asked how many. I wanted to order takeout and said so, but was told I needed to place my name on the list. She quickly walked away. Another customer came in after me and was told the same thing. She had come in earlier at 2:15 and was told she couldnt be served then even though they close at 3 and there were tables empty. She called this out and they just turned her away. This was already bad but I figured a to go order couldnt take that long. A second waitress came and grabbed the sign in sheet. Started calling out names. No answer. She called the number on the sheet. Scratched off a name. Started over. Turned out some of the people had already been seated so they had to sort that out. I see shes about to get to my name. She calls out "Jeff?" No, my name is Josh. "it says Jeff." No, j-o-s-h. Thats my number. She looks at my two kids. "Only table for one?" No, I want to order to go. "What do you want?" No one gave me a menu. She goes to get one. "Let me know when you are ready." Im ready now please dont go away again. "Oh, well you should know it will be 30-40 minutes." So I was on the same list as people who wanted a table, already waited 15 minutes to see a menu, and now finding out Id have to wait just shy of an hour total for takeout? I dropped the menu back into her hands and told her that was ridiculous, and they should have warned me of that as soon as I got there. They should have told the other three people waiting in line for takeout as well. Fu Man across the street can have a wait but they tell you up front and encourage takeout orders when its busy. This is terrible customer service and Im going to tell everyone I know not to eat here.

I think this is the most authentic dumplings for Northern Chinese in Seattle. We had a party of 7, and we ordered 12 dishes, I cant remember all, but there is the list: D5, D9, D3, D12, P1, P2, B5, A1, A4, T2 and the kid got his own milk tea with strawberry jam. Most of the dumplings we ordered were steamed and couple were pan fried. Lets start with the appetizers, we ordered sauced beef and hot and sour cucumbers. I like both, especially the beef one, not too salty or sweet, it just good enough with flavorful. I didnt try the tea but the boy finished it all with smile. Dumplings were so good, as I am a northern Chinese, little tings really has the most authentic dumplings for Northern Chinese. My favorite is the D12, the lamb one, how can they marinated without the smell of lamb (gamy). Highly recommend for those who like authentic Northern style handmade dumplings (which the skin of dumplings is thicker). The owner/ waitress is so nice. Last but not least, since it is fresh made, it might take a little time for it when it is busy. Well, I dont mind to wait for good food.

Little Tings Dumplings is a relatively inexpensive joint that serves up excellent dough. From thick dumpling skins to filling noodles and just-right-bouncy-sticky-crispy buns, the dough at Little Tings is exceptionally well done. Where they fall short lies in the flavour beyond the dough. The dumplings lacked savouriness, the sauce on our spicy noodles was oddly sweet, and the mini shrimp buns were, well, not very shrimp-y. If you bias your preferences towards subtle fillings/sauces in a dish of excellent dough, definitely give this place a shot. Pros + Spacious, Clean, well-lit, uncramped. + Exceptional dough cooked just right. So-sos = Filling is unremarkable Cons - Super tight parking

I hate to say this, but I have an extensive knowledge of Chinese food both northern and southern style. I went to Tings with my family expecting to have fantastic food. We tried a good cross-section of the different types of dumplings, and I have to say having eaten dumplings at many different restaurants that Tings was pretty much a complete failure. The dumplings are very Doughy; they were made from wheat and not rice. The fillings were tasteless and the meat was practically nonexistent. The ribs were good but everything else was just short of being not edible. Im not being arrogant, this is simply what I would consider a worthwhile evaluation of this particular restaurant.

Came here because a friend told me people drive from really away just to eat here. Food was mediocre at best, seating forever, and the place itself made me really claustrophobic. There are no windows so it looks like a sketchy warehouse, & everything was so dirty that I was afraid to touch anything. The walls look like they have never been washed, and their "spicy" sauce isnt even spicy. In fact, it was really sweet which is super odd. Oh, and they forgot one of the dishes we ordered & didnt even apologize. We just got "oh yeah, theyre making it."

we waited quite a while for a table for 5, but it was worth it! the food was wonderful, we got spare ribs, fried buns, three different orders of pan fried dumplings, and milk tea to drink. all of us were so pleased with the flavors and tender/crispy/juicy dumplings. delicious! i dont think the staff was ready for the popularity boost the restaurant received this week after the seattle times article but im sure theyll figure it out! thanks for a wonderful meal!

Just your regular dumpling spot. While Ding Tai Fung is over priced and acclaimed in Seattle/US, there are many good northern dish/dough based food spots. Tings dumpling lacks flavour; I agree with the previous commenter. And the choices are not ample. All the dumplings are handmade though, just like DTFs, right in front of you. Service is a bit slow. Well, if hungry, having them for delivery isnt bad.

The food is pretty good but the staff and the environment inside the restaurant need some work. I sat at my table for an hour when the wait staff finally admitted to us they didnt send my order to the cook. I wouldnt want to eat inside the restaurant again but would be happy to do a pick-up order because the quality is there.

I would rate this place higher, if the excellent Fu-Man Dumpling house wasnt right across the street. Both places are great, and we will definitely be back to try out Little Tings again. If you like chives, this is the place for you. If you prefer garlic, take a look across the street. Either way, enjoy your dumplings!

Nice place, great service. Food was plain, average fare. Was expecting more in areas of flavor and variety. Was mildly amused when the waitress explained to me what white people usually get when I asked what she recommended. Slightly overpriced for what is served, but generally satisfied with the experience.

Forget going to Dim Tai Fung. This place is just as good, if not better and there is no line. It is a great hole in the wall place. Besides the amazing dumplings, they had some delicious cured cucumbers that were probably my favorite part of my meal(Which is not because the dumplings werent good).

The carrot and tofu buns, spicy noodles and onion pancake were all fantastic. Tiny shop that may not be great for groups, but they do bulk orders with a couple days notice for dumplings to freeze and take home. Free delivery after $20 within two miles means this is a go to for us ordering in.
