Let me start this review by saying that generally speaking, people do NOT know how to write a review. A one star review simply based on the fact that you couldnt get seated fast enough is a waste of your time. You can not fault a restaurant for being popular. Impatient people, please plan your evening out accordingly so that you can have a FULL experience before sitting down to write a review and bag a restaurant. This review is based on several evenings (dinner rush). That said- on with the review. BUSY- Plan Ahead! This place is super busy every time we go. There is no real "avoid the crowd" time if you eat during normal meal times so plan on a little waiting. Texas Roadhouse has a call ahead seating that basically puts you on the "list" before you get there. They dont take reservations so try to call 15 minutes ahead of time. Typically, we wait anywhere from 10-20 minutes more in the waiting area before being seated. There is a buzz in the restaurant and there are many servers and staff walking around at all times. This is a kid friendly place, but keep your kids close while walking around so they dont get knocked over. Haha STAFF- Quick and Friendly If you are looking to be fawned over and have your poodle hair fluffed, go somewhere else! One look outside your bubble and you will notice that this place is jamming every second. The service was smiling, friendly and quick. Perfect. The management is also making rounds to ensure your meal is satisfactory. FOOD- Salty, High Calorie, Indulgent Lets start with the delicious warm soft dinner rolls brushed with salted butter and cinnamon honey butter. Need I say more? Its a slice of high calorie heaven and the bread baskets are unlimited- but save room for your steak dinner! The steaks: are good. Even the Sirloin is SUPER TENDER! They are aged and marinated. The cooks err on the rarer side so order your meat slightly warmer than you would usually order at a steak house. You can also order stuff to smother your steak, but personally I like a plain hunk of meat. Other meats: Chops- very good seasoning, tender, juicy. Chicken: Moist, juicy. Shrimp: Not their best. There is a strange artificial garlic flavor that is a little off putting. Sides: Baked potato- cooked with the skin coated in coarse salt. Its tender, but very salty. Veggies- firm, not at all wilty, salted and buttered. Green Beans: made with bacon...mmmmmm...bacon. Kid Stuff: Typical kids menu with chicken fingers, mac and cheese, steak bites, burgers, etc. CLEANLINESS: About average The restaurant has been there eight years. The tables are worn but recently refinished. The booths are clean. The silverware and napkins are always clean. The floors are filthy. Covered in peanut shells (because everyone throws them on the floor) so dont drop your coat on the floor. Bathrooms are pretty typical. Clean, always stocked. NOISE: Above average level Not bar loud, but pretty close. The music is loud, and its busy. Its not bothersome like a bar, but be prepared for a little louder night out. Some places in the restaurant are quieter than others. We have found that the further away you sit from the entrance, the quieter it is. PRICE: Average As a family of four (two under five) our bill is usually around $50 (no alcohol). Prices are below the average compared to other steak places in the metro. All in all, our visits have been mostly satisfactory. They are pretty consistent (which is important to us) and as a family we like to eat there. Yes, I will recommend to a friend!

So its my brother-in-laws birthday today and my sister called and made reservations so we could all have dinner there together. They told me the food was supposed to be really good so I was really excited. My sister called the restaurant back a few minutes after she made our reservations to add one more person to our party and they told her she had to speak with the large party manager. For one more person. They placed her on hold and eventually she was hung up on. She called back and explained she was already on hold and was hung up on and that she simply needed to add one more to her reservation. She was placed on hold again, then taken off hold and she was able to hear people talking in the background and an employee making reservations with other parties all while she waited with no one picking up the phone to help her. When she got hung up on again she called back immediately, upset and told the employee who answered what she was trying to do and how it could get taken care of without being hung up on again. They told her we could come to our reservation we originally made but we would have to be seated away from eachother, which would completely defeat the purpose of going out for my brother-in-laws birthday. The other option would be to call back round 7-7:30 pm to make a new reservation for an hour and a half later. We had 4 kids in our party so there is no way that would have worked. I didnt even get to try the great food there because they couldnt get their reservations service straight. Very disappointed. They just lost a customer they hadnt even gained yet.

My husband and I ate dinner here last night and I was impressed with the overall experience. The wait was about 45 minutes. We were originally seated in a two-seater booth and the young lady (early 20s. Kasey? Kelsey? Dim lighting trying to read her name tag, sorry) who was seating us noticed the tight squeeze I would be in and INSISTED on moving us. Im 7 months pregnant with twins and the table/booth is bolted down so there is no adjusting those. The place was packed so I didnt want to wait again so I planned to suck it up and told her it was fine but she insisted and immediately got a manager to find a table. She came back and moved us to a table with sincere apologies the front even tried to seat us there. All of this was with me not complaining one bit. I really appreciate the fact she saw a problem and made it her personal mission to make it right-now that is service! I had the ribeye and my husband the porterhouse. Both were pretty good and came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. Our actual waitress Kylie was "ok". Not rude but not very friendly. Our order was correct. Overall great experience!!

This is my second trip to this restaurant. First time, ordered a steak. Upon receipt of my order I add the steak sauce on the table, their own concoction, and it was flat out rude. Ruined the steak. Second trip, ordered a burger. Upon receipt of the order I get a burger with uncooked bacon (literally translucent) and the burger wasnt cooked to order. I also ordered sauteed onions and received a small serving dish of raw onions with what I presume to be a warm butter sauce and pepper. Maybe that was my fault and assumed they would have been carmelized. After having waited a half hour just to get the food, I am hungry so I remove the bacon and eat half the burger. I appreciate the waitress noticing I didnt finish it, but instead of leaving well enough, I have to explain minutes later to the manager why I was unsatisfied with the meal. Is it normal to grill your patrons? Truthfully, who cares...this restaurant hasnt and will never be first on my list.
