5 Spice is our new favorite place for Asian take out! We just discovered it only in the last few weeks and are very happy with the quality of the food. The veggies, green & red pepper, broccoli, onion, are very fresh and full in all of the orders. The mushrooms are especially nice. The sauces and spice are very very flavorful. The veggie fried rice and egg roles were very good, some of the best we have ever had. The Gingered Chicken was excellent and the sauce was wonderful and so flavorful and the Shitake mushrooms in this dish are fantastic. Even the lunch combos are great! The best around. Make sure you go to this place. We will keep going back.

Called tonight to place an order, was rudely informed to "come now because they were going to be closing." It was only 7:15 when I called and according to their menu, they are open til 8. My fiance was going to be picking up the food on his way home from someplace with his son, so I did not have control over this. They called me roughly 20 minutes later to tell me they were closing and the food hadnt been picked up yet. I tried to get ahold of my fiance without avail so I called them back and said forget it. They have lost what could have been very frequent customers because they felt like closing early. You win some, you lose some, I guess.

Expensive for what? Im a huge fan of chow mein night and so is my family, so we wanted to try this place out. I dropped $54, which isnt hard to do at good Chinese food, on a couple of bags, a multitude of choices so we could all dabber in fun choices. We ended up with pre-fried low quality chicken nuggets with thick, almost pure sugar sesame seed and sweet/sour sauce (seperate) lathered on top, just bad.... really bad. Nothing really stands out here but the $10 charge per item for smaller helpings. This isnt a good choice for treating the family.... this isnt a giod place to eat or takeout in a pinch.

This place is definitely one to pick up food at and not one to receive great customer service at. Im not even saying that in a criticizing way. Im really not. Its very quiet in there, and Im sure we went at a quiet time, and the workers dont really interact with you at all. They cook-- quietly-- and you sit there waiting, quietly. However, it was probably the best Chinese Ive ever had in my life. I was asking myself why they got five stars at first as I sat in silence at the table waiting for my food to be cooked, and I found out why. Its because its bomb. Really, really bomb.

The restaurant has a great design but its falling apart and is very cluttered and messy. I was actually surprised when I went in because of how run down it felt. It didnt feel that way in the past. The veggies werent really cooked in my dish and the meat was definitely reheated from frozen because the consistancy was weird and off-putting. The food tasted good and it came fast. Large portions. 15$ will easily feed 2, maybe 3 people.

5 Spice Asian Takeout is one of the best, if not the best asian food I have ever had. They not only bring you entree with the normal food, but they add plenty of vegetables/noodles/etc.. to make the dish commplete. If you like spicy this place is for you. Loaded with peppers and other spices, this food will definitely spice things up in the adian takeout department. Recommended for all!

I have never had a bad experience ordering from here. Going on 7 years now of amazing food with tons of flavor. They are always able to customize your order to what you want and they have a clean atmosphere which is very appealing as well. I drive 25 minutes out of my way passing easily 10+ Other Asian take out restaurants but would always still choose here. 5 stars.

Even though the decor was nice enough I ordered a Thai Chicken Curry. The vegetables were absolutely raw. I dont mind a little crisp but I guarantee they didnt spend more than a minute cooking. I was able to eat the chicken and the sauce was ok but the sauce tasted more curry powder. They need to add in a little coconut milk and fish sauce.

Ordered sesame chicken and lemon chicken and fried potstickers. Threw it out after the first couple bites. Lemon sauce was Big Bird yellow and disgusting. Sesame sauce was clearly from a jar. We ordered fried rice but it seemed like we got brown, though it was hard to tell. Nothing fresh about anything we ordered

I am originally from Seattle, where the asian food is authentic and there is rich variety. Five Spice is the closest thing to authentic Chinese and Thai food I have found in the north suburbs. They also have very hot spice options available; something sorely lacking here in the Midwest. I highly recommend them!!

Just passing through the area and stopped for some lunch. Good food, pretty spicy (drink recommended). Its called 5Spice Take Out, but there are tables to eat inside if you are wondering. We had an order of the Spicy BBQ pork and Spicy Coconut Curry beef. Didnt disappoint. Would recommend.

Nice quiet place. Compact and cozy for a quiet date. The food is good but not spectacular. The portion size is good. You could get the same quality and a cheaper price other places. Very friendly staff. Id go here to support the local small business, however I wouldnt make a special trip.

This place has some of the best quality oriental food around. Prices are average Id say for the quantity of food. Note if you order extra spicy maybe go for the side of hot sauce so they dont burn your taste buds out from them over doing it. All is well.

Closing time is 8:00. Order at 7:30 and you get treated badly and like they are doing YOU a favor. Food is actually good, although expensive. Just get here way before closing if you want to feel appreciated. Food is an 8. Customer service is a 1.

I took my Mother and father in law here prior to my sons band concert. Ok food for take out, but do NOT dine in, no ice for the water, both the mens and womens restroom out of order. Are you kidding me, paper plates and plastic utensels.

Great food full of flavor and very fresh. Everything is full of fresh chopped veggies you can taste the differenece. Nothing frozen about this place a little spendy for chinese but by far the best Chinese in the northwest suburbs

Mediocre food, but not too bad if in a pinch for some Asian. The kung poa chicken is overloaded with undercooked onions, but has decent flavor. Beef lo mein was bland. Service is quick.

I love this place, I have never had a bad experience eating here. Anytime someone suggests Chinese food, I counter with "5spice" because its so much better
