Four stars for Vietnamese food! This place is an enigma. All the signage points to Chinese food. Their main sign out front boasts "Hunan, Szechuan, Peking, Cantonese style." Yet the most authentic stuff on the menu is the Vietnamese section, which is not mentioned in the restaurant. Being a Hong Konger, where we do in fact have all these cuisines back home in authentic form, and I have personally dined in all these styles, this place is not that I assure you. So come here for Vietnamese. Looking around the place, it was clear that the 4 tables of Asians are here for Vietnamese. I would personally stay away from the Chinese offerings judging by the plates that were coming out. They did have a little lunch buffet line out, and a counter full of Chinese dish-ware, accessories, and snacks. Quite strange. The buffet would not be something Id touch if you paid me... Ok enough of that big confusing bit about cuisine. I ordered Bun Bo Hue, and it was great! Lots of meat options, well stewed to tenderness, good portion size. The broth was lacking in a little salt, but it was full of flavor as expected. Just some sprinkles of salt and a little sugar tuned it right up. The sprouts were starting to brown. Overall it was tasty and filling. Pricing was on point at $8.99. I would definitely come back and try the other Vietnamese dishes, and maybe even the Chow Fun and Cantonese Noodles...maybe. Stay tuned!!

Good food horrible service! I ordered chicken chow mein and most places it comes with noodles, the waitress knew that and she was apparently telling us that but I really couldnt understand her, I really didnt want to be rude by saying what over and over so I just shook my head so once I got the food I didnt like it and I told her and asked if I could return it to get something else she says no Ive never heard of a restaurant saying no to a customer I was so livid I was close to telling them to hire people who can actually speak decent English but I couldnt stoop that low but otherwise the food is good just wish I knew who to call for management!!

Ok. I used to lovvvvve this place but I hate it now, this older lady waitress is so rude. We been dedicated customers so we know the family owner but after this older woman was hired, I feel like my experience had changed. She hurry us & questions us too much what to order. She also talked about my culture and laughed about it with the other waitress in her language(which I understand). And this one time I order a cup of desert and i spotted a hair in it...I had to speak to another waitress about it because she kept avoiding me. The food is great though but getting treated like crap is not.

My boyfriend and I go here at least once a week to get our Pho fix. I love it! We always just get one big bowl and split it between us and they are always very accommodating to doing so. The staff here is always very friendly and quick with their service, even during their lunch rush. So give this place a chance and check it out. I recommend the #16 Pho with extra noodles, and some cream cheese wantons. Might sound odd, but try mixing the horseradish sauce with the sweet and sour that they give you, its really good!

Dont expect your take out order to be correct, ever. The manager is the only one you should talk with on the phone, the other workers cant speak or understand English to an acceptable level. Am I wrong to assume that you should be able to speak and understand English if you have a business in America? Every time I have ordered there they get it wrong, then argue with you about it, then offer a laughable amount off of your bill. Eat in if you can stand the dated look. I like the buffet in Fridley better.

Cant go wrong for the prices and quantity received here. My husband and I enjoy getting the combo plates and they give us more than we could possibly eat. However quality seems to vary with the dishes we get (garlic chicken, hunan chicken or beef and broccoli)- sometimes flavors are bland or the meat is trimmed poorly. We absolutely love the pho though and have not had a bad bowl yet. We always get #16 to go and it comes conveniently packed. Take out orders are generally ready very quickly!

Went with a group to try the buffet... it was awful! Ordered from the menu instead. The chicken and broccoli smelled like hot garbage. Sent back the cashew chicken and they demanded we pay for it! My 5 year old daughter says "the rice is hard "! It was stale! Along with the cream cheese wontons, and everything on the buffet. It was 1:00 pm! You crazy people giving it 5 stars??? Its just be family... never ever again!

I love chineese buffets and this one is great. My wife and I were searching for a place where Sunday lunch wasnt over ten dollars. The price was 5.30 after tax. The price was great and the food was even better. Not a lot of selections at the buffet but the ones they had were delicious. You can also order off the menu. I would highly recommend this little family run establishment.

This is my go-to with the family.... A nice mixture of Chinese AND Vietnamese cuisine. My kids love Phó even more than Kraft Macn Cheese...which is saying a lot!! New Mandarin fits their bill perfectly as well as mine for whatever Im in the mood for. Great food...friendly authentic staff....and a wide variety of dishes will keep us coming back on a regular basis.

The BEST Chinese restaurant in the North Metro and possibly The Twin Cities. Their orange Chicken is amazing as are their egg roles. Theyre not all greasy like most places. Their lunch buffet is also very good. Its not a huge buffet like most places but the quality and taste more than make up for it. Plus its like $6.95. You cant go wrong here.

I love this place. I am a foodie and my faves are the pho soup dishes. Fresh and authentic. Its also my go to remedy when Im feeling under the weather. My family loves the spring rolls, cream cheese wontons, and they can never get enough of the beef lo mein. If time is limited, I can call, order ahead and pick up within minutes. Awesome.

Always order something off the menu. This place is a hidden jem! Great dishes and amazing fried rice. The egg rolls and wontons are perfect in my opinion (I always get sweet and sour sauce to dip them in). Mostly see asians eating here, thats a good sign to me!

This place is off the chain! The food has big portions, it all tastes great. Pork fried rice is good. Grand Duke chicken is great. The MI Kho is amazing. The staff is very friendly and the place is busy. A great experience for us and will definitely come back.
