Extremely dissatisfied with Gourmet VIllage. The fod was substandard. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and there was more batter than chicken. The beef and broccoli too was gross. The beef didnt even have the texture of meat, let alone beef. The staff was VERY RUDE! When I ordered the lady I spoke with was rushing me off of the phone and didnt even tell me my total or ask if it was pick up or delivery. When my food was delivered the man sat my food on the table and when I gave him the money he threw the receipt on table as well and pointed at everything while walking out. He didnt say anything to me. I will never order from this establishment again. I honetly believe they are racist and they are the furthest thing from "Gourmet".

I had never eaten at this restaurant before, and now that I have I never will again. The staff were nice enough but very disorganized. The food was terrible. I ordered sesame chicken with white rice and an egg roll. When the food came out, it looked good but the cooks there must be skilled at making junk look pretty. The chicken was hard and cold on the inside and it felt like I was chewing on an eraser. Not to mention the strange metallic flavor. The broccoli that came with it was cold as well and fell apart as I tried to pick it up with my fork. After I decided I had enough, I asked for the check and low and behold they overcharged me as well.

The food we got was okay but overpriced for what it was. Most disappointing was that we were shorted a box of rice and 3 egg rolls... The egg roll we did get was very small for the price compared to what we get other places and had no meat - for the same price we can get pork or chicken egg rolls at other places. The Hounan Beef and Beef Lo Mein had hardly any meat in them as well. The sweet & sour chicken and cashew chicken were good. Ive had a much better experience eating in the restaurant than takeout.

Oof I used to come here when I was younger and remember it being good. After having lunch at Gourmet Village recently I am not inclined to go again. The staff couldnt seem to figure out who was responsible for serving us. When our order was taken it was subsequently lost and retaken. The food was OK. Not bad but not worth recommending. Maybe I went on a difficult day but I feel there are better, more consistent options in EL.

The absolute best chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein Ive ever had. I see reviews of people saying the food tastes horrible, yet every time Ive been there Ive noticed that their customers are predominantly Asian. Maybe their food isnt as "Americanized" as other restaurants (like Panda Express), but I appreciate that and have developed a palate to favor their menu. Go there with that in mind and I dont think youll be disappointed.

The food is pretty good but service is terrible. They dont serve people by who come in first instead they seem to serve people most close to them. And it takes quite a long term to get menu and get dishes finally. Hope they can be more efficient and provide good quality service.

This food is alright, but the dishes are not what you would find at other restaurants. For example, the orange chicken was spicy and didnt have very much orange taste to it. The chicken was cooked well. Its good, but not if you like your asian cuisine to taste a specific way.

The hunan chicken was good, with unbreaded chicken and a slightly spicy sauce. I had with a with a small egg roll. The service was very good, and the servers kept my Coke filled. The lunch prices were very reasonable, and there were thirty items to choose from.

Stopped in here for lunch the other day. Even though it was very busy the service was prompt and attentive. I started with hot tea and a spring roll, followed by beef with broccoli. The beef was suitably tender and the portions excellent given the price.
