So I was calling the Chinese places in the area to see which ones deliver, and to get some basic information. I called this one and was abrasively asked what I wanted, so I asked if they deliver. The woman said "Yes, delivery. What you want?" I said, "Hang on, I have a couple of questions. What is your delivery minimum?" The woman abruptly said, "Hang on." I then hear this woman complaining to somebody about me, saying that she already told me that they deliver and that I keep asking questions. Im fairly angry at this point but Im hungry enough to stay on the line. But she keeps complaining, and eventually, I got fed up and decided that these rude jackasses did not deserve my business. So no, I have not had their food, but I might have, had some common courtesy been known by these people.

Figured Id help you all out - this review was one I posted a few years ago. The only reason Im not using Googles "1 star" option is because its for "HATING IT" - but, to be clear, Im using 2 stars to mean the bottom of the barrel here. Anyone who can honestly suggest this latrine of a food-outlet is actually above the pale has either been on Zhengs paltry take or is accustomed to dry pet food. Seriously - I went in to this joint twice - both times WANTING to render doubts benefit but... Damn... I simply couldnt extend anything above an F for Failure. How can Leon County Health Department truly allow these doors to remain open? Oh... Incidentally... Dont paint me as unkind. I assure, dear reader, that it is kindness to you that motivates me to be honest here.

Whatever you do, do not order beef and broccoli! My beef did not seem to come from the animal we would normally recognize! It was like a big wad of soft plastic and grissle in your mouth. I spit it out the minute I tried to chew it because it just bomeranged in my mouth! To make matters worse there was a bone in the dish and it almost cracked my tooth! We ordered barbecued pork and hot mustard. The mustard was mixed with a gelatin mixture, (nasty) and the shriveled pork fried pieces were semi-disguised in a sweet sauce. This is not your typical Chinese restaurant. The inside was clean and the view was lovely, and that is where it stops, order water and look out the window! THIS IS THE ZHENGS ON KINHEGA DRIVE OVERLOOKING THE LAKE!

They have the best spicy squid for the entire area! Family owned, and very nice couple. Ask her about her authentic chinese specials. Some of these reviews are asinine. Like the one that couldnt be patient on the phone for a second. Or the lady that sat down like its a sit down restaurant. ITS A TAKE OUT RESTAURANT!!! Why would someone want to give a restaurant one star for having bad table service when its a take out place? It looks like someone named Google User, had created a bunch of accounts to bash the place. That person might need to get some psychiatric help or a life, if they have nothing better to do. If you want authentic Chinese delivered, this is the place.

I would highly recommend the chicken wings. Either the boneless or bone in ribs. The tofu dishes and Chinese broccoli. Salt and pepper shrimp. Squid. Egg roles. Any thing VB with brown or garlic sauce. General tsos Avoid the orange flavor beef because CV the breading is too heavy but great flavor. Get crispy and sesame tofu. Double Cook pork with cabbage. The garlic eggplant and the curries and awesome beef ho fun. Ask them when they can special Cook the new York style ginger chicken or Peking duck. The fish is also good.

Was seated with menus, waited 11 min for wait staff to even acknowledge that we were there, funny thing was, the girl who seated us, was our waitress....we went up and asked if we could get someone to wait on us and the girl who seated us, said it would be a minute, I was done.... On our way out a couple ask us if the food was any good, told them I wouldnt know, waited for 11 mins, and no one even took our drink order, so those people left too.

This place is awful, unsure as to how clean it is because I ordered delivery but the food tasted like it was cooked in old oil and was extremely greasy. Called the place to see what could be done to correct this issue and the lady was extremely rude and said that they had never received a complaint, but if youve read the other reviews youd know thats a blatant lie. If youd like to avoid food poisoning avoid this place Id give it 0 stars if I could

To be fair they know what they are doing. The chow fun I have is very authentic, but there are interesting things. The fun is insanely thick and I saw the cook cut the fun into pieces, which Ive never seen any places like that around. Its texture is quite disgusting. They are also not the best in using condiments. With all the oil and nice color it is not salty enough. Not recommended.

Food quality is poor. My husband ordered 2 lunch specials, shrimp and broccoli and general tso chicken. Both were disgusting. The shrimp and chicken tasted rotten, like it was spolied then cooked. The sauces were watery and over used to attempt to hide the bad flavor of the food. Never eat there under any circumstances.

Zhengs is a reliable and delicious Chinese food outfit, and my favorite on this side of town. This is a true family owned business, and food is served with real warmth. Its not expensive, overly fancy, or impersonal. It is friendly, delicious, prompt, and a true neighborhood gem. Highly recommended.

The food was terrible. I ordered General Tsos for delivery. It got here fairly quickly but it looked just as bad as it tasted. One of the worst General Tsos Ive ever had. The egg drop soup wasnt much better. I dont know if its any better if you pick it up, but I wont ever be going back to find out.

LOVE this place. been going here for 15 years, seriously best tasting chinese food, not just in town but anywhere ive gone. If youre nice to them, theyll be super nice and genorous to you, not to mention the lunch specials cant be beat. Idk about delivery, i always get carry out.

I just spent 24 bucks to have crap delivered to me. The shrimp and scallops with garlic sauce was discussing. There were like three scallops and 3 shrimp. The sauce was supposed to be spicy but it was sweet and sour. Never again!!!!!

Good food at reasonable prices. I got delivery once but the delivery guy was pretty gross and have done carry-out ever since. This is definitely not a place that would be a good place for dining in, but a good option for carry-out.

This place is the pits. I am at a hotel less than 8 miles from the restaurant, and they are saying the only way they will deliver here is if I tip them $10.00. The food isnt that much! Eff that!

The food was wonderful and the staff tried to make us happy even though they were short on people. Glad we have a nice Chinese restaurant to go to now in Bradfordville.
