My family are regulars at this restaurant. We visit often and the owner knows this. So when we visited and brought our extended family for a party after my nieces baptism, we were shocked at the way we were treated. First off, our waitress was quite grumpy and had no qualms with showing it. She brought by an armful of cokes and plopped them down on a table and almost shouted "who ordered the coke?!" Now I know that we had a big group (32) but there are nicer ways to do that than pushing aside a customer who is eating and shouting at everyone else. A few minutes later, someone returned from the bathroom and asked about their coke and and she snapped at them for not responding earlier. The service was inconsistent. One time, she literally pulled the plate as someone was taking their last bite. Sometimes, plates piled up, but that wasnt the waitresss fault - the management should have had another person helping her. The food was average - typical buffet food, same as every other time. The truly horrendous part was when she brought the bill. She tried to charge us for 36 people, and then accused us of lying to her and said that people left and we werent counting them. This was not true. We told her that one dad took his 3 year old outside because the 3 year old was acting up, but we had already included him in out count. She counted no less than four times before she admitted she was wrong. Also, she charged us for extra pops. We didnt argue this with her because the last charge was what really blew my mind. Its a normal practice to charge gratuity for big groups, and we know and wouldnt have been surprised by this. However, they threw a thirty six dollar charge in and didnt list it as gratuity but as another charge. Just in the middle of the per persons and the drinks. There was no verbal or written notice of this charge and that was the reason we were upset about it. It was a shady practice and to just add it to the itemized list makes it seem like we needed to tip again. It wasnt until I asked about it that they said it was gratuity. When I asked the owner about it, she first blamed it on the waitress, and then got mad at us about it. She told us to go talk to the manager, but when we did, she stood in the back an muttered in a different language the entire time. You can only imagine as I did what she was saying. I explained to the manager that we werent opposed to paying a tip. Like I said, we come here all the time l. We have never not left a good tip. He just blew it off and said that it was standard practice. Im sorry, when did it become standard to be deceitful? Oh did I mention when I called and ask if big groups got a discount, I was told 5%, but when I asked about it at the restaurant, they said no. I get it if you cant give a discount, but if you say youre going to do something, you should do it. The manager than said well you ate you have to pay. I paid it just to be done with it but I do not agree with the way they handled things. To lie to, deceive, and then argue with a customer is not good business, especially when it is a returning loyal customer. Im sure we will be back, but only because my mom loves those little crawfish. But it will not be for a very long time.

Came the other day during lunch and it was amazing.around lunch time everything is fresh. The restaurant is extremely clean ,love the decore. Decided to bring my family here around 8pm and was extremely unsatisfied. Im paying full price for a dinner thats stale and they wont even refill anything once its out. You close at 9:30 pm not 8pm if im paying full price for a dinner and you dont even have the things i like and the other half of the food is old. Its not worth my time. It would be different if you change 1/2 off late night ,stale old food special but im paying 10 bucks for food thats nasty and old.it doesnt matter if i come in 1 hour before they close i EXPECT FRESH FOOD. NO EXCUSES!IM NOT PAYING FOR OLD NASTY FOOD. I understand they hate wasting food but ppl dont want nasty food. The restaurant needs to be better managed at 9pm they are pulling everything off the bars. If thats case then you need to close at 9pm. You dont start taking food down until you are closed. Ive never been to a place that is so cheap that they let there customers eat old food and are okay with it. Will not come back again just for that fact. Just because ppl come to eat at 8pm doesnt mean we should be punished for it. If you dont want ppl to come at 8pm keep doing what your doing. Its a shame bc if they had fresh food i could really see this place packed. Theres a asain food restaurant in florida and the food is ALWAYS FRESH even 10 minutes before closing and they get lines out the door bc they truly care about there customers.

THE BEST Chinese buffet in the Lansing area! Ive been going here since high school for 10+ years. The lady (who I assume to be the owner) running the register has been the same person since I started going. The people are very friendly and the rest of the staff is very quick. The food is always GREAT and I love it! They never run out and you dont have to wait because shes very attentive and tells the kitchen staff what is needed. The price has been climbing since I first started going, but compared to any other buffet in the area it is excellent. It doesnt taste like yesterdays left overs, and it definitely doesnt taste like its loaded with preservatives like the other places around here. The parking is good, the atmosphere is okay. Its definitely clean, but its nothing fancy.

If I could give a lower rating, I would. I made a mistake (as it was my first time ordering from here) and got something I wasnt expecting to get. It was about 9:30 (closing time) when we got the food, so I was ready to go, instead of having them re-make it. A lady proceeded to argue with my friend and I and tried to make us pay for food we had no intention on taking OR eating. I voiced many times how I was in error and it wasnt the food, it was simply not what I was expecting. She raised her voice and argued for at least 10 minutes. I wouldnt have had a problem paying half had she not began arguing in front of other customers and he co-workers (who all gathered around to watch and listen). It was terribly unprofessional and I wouldnt reccomend this place to my worst enemy.

Go. Somewhere. Else. My boyfriend and I were seated away from all other customers and seated behind the drink station where we were ignored by our waitress. My boyfriend couldnt finish his food once he realized the unexpected crunch in his seafood dish was eggshell. He even found a large piece of shell that i grabbed a waitress for. She didnt offer any kind of apology, take the plate away, or bring us any refills. We left immediately afterwards. No one else seemed to be having these issues with the staff. There buffet is so small and they were very slow to restock the limited items they did have. Go somewhere else. I recommend Hibachi Buffet and Grill. Its out by the Lansing Mall.
