Im hoping the manager or corporate can see this. I understand this is not the servers fault; our server Veronica was absolutely wonderful, kind, polite, attentive, and sweet. She thoroughly did her best to apologize for the cooks consistent mistakes. We go to Bob Evans on a regular basis, to celebrate, to connect with friends, and of course to eat delicious, fresh, and homey food. So we know the standard Bob Evans desire for their guests. As soon as we walked in, we waited longer than we should have to even be acknowlaged, greeted, and to be seated. We stood there as we watched about 5 to 6 people huddled in the back, messing around with a coworkers sunglasses, rather than let us know we would be taken care of. I even made eye contact with them yet we were ignored. I simply ordered the Rise and Shine specifically so I could have home fries along with egg whites and turkey sausage. But home fries are my favorite way to enjoy a breakfast meal. My friend ordered a grilled cheese with fries and coleslaw. When they came out the home fries did not possess a golden brown color anywhere; they were not cooked through and drenched with oil....along with the rest of my plate, having a coat of oil. I understand that its breakfast, there will be some oil, but not to the extent my plate possessed. My friends fries looked as if they has been taken straight out from the freezer bag. You could see the dull color in the fries, and had not been cooked through whatsoever. Again. Also soaked with oil. We let Veronica know, she and apparantly the manager had been sitting at the table next to us. Veronica apologized courteously , while the manager simply asked if we wanted new plates. We told them we just wanted new potato sides since we were in a hurry and needed to eat. After waiting a bit, we could hear "sass" and complaints coming from the kitchen for having to remake the partial order. Although, once they brought it back, the fries were about done and edible, but the home fries came back exactly the same, except more oily. They took my meal and my friends off the check, but at this point the effort was lost. Great job Veronica, sub-par short haired manager lady, and kitchen staff....its not that hard to cook potatoes....especially fried ones.

So went here for breakfast with my mom this morning and things where bad from the start. 1.) Took forever to get seated 2.) Tool almost 10 minutes before we had our drink orders and as everyone knows I love coffee, but they were out of regular coffee and only had decaf. 3.) Took another 10 minutes to get a diet coke and a water and get our order taken 4.) 15 minutes after our order was put in the manager came over and said that they did not have the strawberry bake 5.) We decided to cancel our order and leave the manager was very sorry that it happened apparently she is new there and was her second day the store had no manager for 2 weeks. We had told our server that we were just going to cancel completely she went over to the cooks and told us them to cancel the order that they didnt even had so communication was not there at all betweennkitchen and servers. I highly suggest not going here it was a bad experience and it seems this is the standard all over at every Bob Evans. If it is true that it was the managers 2nd day then I dont blame her I just suggest that she fix the issues and work to better the communication and have coffee. I would have gathered that she just given me decaf and not said anything at all about it it would have been different if they had no decaf and that waa what I wanted due to people with health issues. That being said I am not going to be going to Bob Evans again.

Just went to the bob evans on carpenter rd and washtenaw in Ann Arbor for a carry out order with my father in law. Im not one to give restaurant businesses complaints or anything but definitely think that they could use some help. While waiting for our food my father in law was really uncomfortable and hot even I thought it was a inferno in there. My father in law said he didnt understand how they work in these conditions in that heat. We usually go to the bob evans off of michigan ave in canton but they said they discontinued what I like to order which is the pot roast hash when they read our order they put me down for the pot roast dinner which is not the same thing. So they messed up order but we made sure they made right. There was just way to much confusion going here. Next time I will order something else even though we called ahead of time and asked them if they had this. I just feel really bad for them. I hope they get better.

I shouldve trusted the reviews on this one. I dont know whats going on there but the orders come wrong at least twice for sure. The employees are chatting and enjoying themselves way more than paying attention to their job. The girl getting my carry out order took about 5 minutes just to figure out how to deal with the computer and find my orders there. Asked for fresh large orange juice, they got me some nasty orange flavored drink, I reminded her I asked for the fresh orange juice, she apologized and came back with a SMALL one. At that point I was already aggravated and just wanted to leave. Ill never ever come back to Bob Evans... At least not on this location. Terrible costumer service, but the food is good though. If you want a tasty meal and doesnt really care about bad service or having them correct your order at least twice, youll be just fine.

Nov 2015: Got 1/2 our meal then 30 minutes later got the other 1/2, when paying our bill the Manager,Asst Manager & another employee were standing by the cash register making fun of customers. Nov 2014: Yesterday there was a cracked egg shell on my plate with breakfast. Today my husband ordered oatmeal for dinner, when waitress delivered my meal she announced they were out of oatmeal and offered to take my plate back to the heating lamps. When my husbands French toast arrived it was half cooked and had sausage instead of bacon, later the waitress returned to exchange the sausage with extremely burned bacon. My husband ate one bite of the toast. When discussing with the manager or told me how he planned to reprimand the waitress even though she didnt cook the food. Regardless, I paid the full bill and wont return.

Wait staff was unattentive to customers needs. We ordered the usda choice sirloin steaks... even pointed to it on the menu; but waitress put in the order for blackened sirloin. Which we sent back; when they came back out the onions were still raw- probably because they were in such a hurry to correct the steaks. ... the steaks themselves were the same ones that came out as blackened sirloin. They had scraped off the peppers and put the mushrooms onions and cheese on them. They denied that they reused the steaks, however i had put a cut mark in my steak before sending it back. ... personally I dont mind them reusing the steak for me, but my wife has allergies. There were at least three managers around who saved the day. Thanks Dan. 3 stars on his behalf rather than the 1 I was about to leave.
