Food here is whatever. Its not bad by any means, but its not terribly exciting. However, their bar staff is an embarrassment. All older women who move about two miles an hour, dont properly make drinks and dont clean up after themselves. In addition, EVERY time I visit this place, (though last night was the last straw and Im never going back) the staff will treat you like absolute crap if you are a young adult. AKA you arent a member of their usual 50+ crowd. First off, they will ignore you until you explicitly call out to them. Then they barely fill your glasses, or spill the drinks all over the place while handing them to you. My ID has been confiscated every single time I order a drink, and bartenders (to my face) make comments about "stupid underage kids with their fake ids"... IM 26 AND MY LICENSE IS LEGIT. How dare you talk to your clientele like this?? If you suspect a license is fake, at least be discreet about it until you discover the truth. But in no way do my friends and I deserve to humiliated and accused in PUBLIC for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

After hearing so many great things about this restaurant and their wonderful prime rib ... we made reservations for Mothers Day today. Bad choice. We all ordered the prime rib ... two were ordered med/rare and the third medium. After advising our waitress that all cuts of meat were tough and not chewable, she said no complaints before and we should try dipping the meat in the juice provided...and then she proceeded to say that if we had ordered the prime rib cooked more they would be much chewier. And this was one of the specials on the menu!! While we had planned on coffee and desert, the waitress was in such a hurry to get our table cleared we didnt even order coffee or desert. Unfortunately there was no one at the desk when we left with our doggie bag of grizzly meat so we didnt complain....but we know the wildlife in the backyard will have something to munch on tonight. Ill be calling the restaurant this coming week to voice my opinion ....such a disappointing dinner.

I took the kids and my boyfriend here a few days ago and dropped $80 for the four of us. However, there are a few things they offer that I completely love. On Wednesdays the serve the best cream of mushroom that I have ever had. Their martini menu is delicious (my favorite being the raspberry sherbet martini). They use to have a special of scallops au gratin-super creamy cheese sauce with scallops over pasta. I havent seen it there for some time now, and have since learned to make it at home, but man what a dish! They tend to choose fatty cuts, but they definitely cook a mean steak. Sadly their french fries are kind have eh. Maybe I am just not a fan of steak cut fries. Great desserts, good coffee.

When I was in college, I used to frequent the Tavern in Westifeld. I have sense gone back and it has not been the same. The atmosphere is wonderful but I feel the the food has gone downhill. I used to love everything the served and now I stick to burgers and fried food when I go there. I really am not sure if they got a new cook or if my standards have just changed. Worth going to check out if you have never been though. Maybe come to your own conclusions.

We are from Richmond VA, and travel to Westfield 5-6 times a year and have been going here since they opened. I had a 24 once prime rib today. Wife had two fantastic pork chops. Service is excellent. Kitchen can handle special allergy request. Chocolate cake is home made by the owner. Enjoy, you will not be dispointed. Live music certain evenings. That prime rib is at least 1 1/2" thick.

I love sliding on into the bar part of Tavern Restaurant with my girl any afternoon . Always relaxing with a nice drink and a meal, usually a special . This past Friday I had the fried clam strip special and a tall screwdriver . The strips were awesome and i am very picky ! the drink was smooth . well worth the short ride from Winchester, Ct. . Always a nice time !

Always great food here and very good service. Management is very helpful if there is any kind of problem which there wont be. Food is available on either the bar side or the dining room side. Great place for a special celebration with a private room available. Call first to arrange it. Live music on the weekends. Definitely a place to go when in Westfield

What a nice find on the way home from Boston. My Chicken francais was delicious and a lovely Caesar salad with anchovies, Yum! The Ribeye special was excellent and the NE Clam chowder was also great - even though I usually prefer the brothy Manhattan style. We will keep this place in mind as a nice stop between the Hudson Valley and Boston!

Its my 18th birthday and Im not impressed. Service is horrible, they double booked the back room so our party couldnt get in. We were told that the reservation was never made. False. Four of us ordered Shirley Temples and it was basically Sprite dyed red. The waitress barely acknowledged us.

Wasnt very impressed. Went for lunch and ordered a turkey burger on whole wheat. My burger came on 2 pieces of untoasted, whole wheat bread, not a roll. The presentation was awful. And for over $7.00, I want something that tastes and looks better than what I would do at home.

Had my Easter lunch here with family. Food was good. Staff was great. But while leaving the manager or owner randomly accused me of "tripping on drugs". Well he was wrong and way out of line and it was pretty embarrassing. Wont be back sadly because of that.

Nice place for a burger and beer. There was live music on a Saturday night. There were popular beers on tap and bottles. I dont know about the wine. We stopped in.pretty late, 10 pm, and still were able to get cooked food. Nice atmosphere.

Recently went here for drinks. The staff was wonderful and patient with our large group. They had a good selection of drinks. (Cant speak to the quality of the food, because I didnt have any on this visit.)

Food is consistently good and cooked to your preference. Most servers /bar tenders are friendly. They have trivia, live music and keno too. Try the tortellini soup!!!

Its on the 15-30 dollar per entree but the portions are large and the food is great. You could go in order an entree for 2 2 salads and a dessert and walk out happy.
