Visited this "establishment" this morning and, quite frankly, I was DISGUSTED by the way we were treated. My family and I were there with my elderly (87 years), handicapped father. Three of us (including my elderly (87 years), handicapped father) arrived at around 10. My elderly (87-years), handicapped father almost fell going into this "establishment." (Not very handicapped-accessible/friendly.)We were told by the "hostess" that we could not be seated until all of our party arrived. I told the"hostess" that my elderly (87-years), handicapped father needed to sit down. She brought over a chair and told me that I had to push it against the wall so we "wouldnt be in the way." Really?! If this moron didnt want us "in the way", then she should have seated us. There was a table that was open right in the front of the dining area! When the rest of my family arrived, where do you think the moronic "hostess" seated us? All the way in the back! NOT VERY HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE OR FRIENDLY! I have never seen an elderly person denied seating because "the rest of the party" hadnt arrived. Very clearly, this "establishment" employs people who lack common sense, common decency, and compassion! People like this are EVERYTHING wrong with this country. I only hope that these people never have to care for an elderly, handicapped parent because quite obviously, they wouldnt have a clue. WE WILL NEVER GIVE OUR BUSINESS TO THE CRACKER BARREL EVER AGAIN!

August 7, 2015 9:45am The Cracker Barrel Holyoke, MA This morning I took my son to The Cracker Barrel in Holyoke, MA. My son loves the chicken dumplings from there, so zi asked the waitress if they were serving it? Her answer was, No! I just woked up and everybody is busy in the kicken!!! I didnt hear her at the moment she said it because it was really loud in the restaurant, so I order a coffee n O J for my son n then I asked my son what did the waitress answered me when I asked if they were serving the chickens and dumplings? When he told me what she said I hot really disgusted and left. I wont eat there again. My son was real sad n upset when she replied to us that way. I wish I had heard her name. But you can call the restaurant and ask if the table for Alex this morning left after the rude and tired waitress served us our drinks because of her rude reply. Restaurants shouldnt have miserable people working as waithress/waiters. I used to love eating there until today. Thank you

I check in for a party of 5. 10 min no big deal. I check back in within 5 mins and seen the lady working the front putting together menus. I ask the women are those menus for (my name party) and she said yes. Great, I went to grab my family. Came back within 2 mins and they gave my seats away. The ctazy thing about this, is the people who took our seats didnt match. We ask for 2 adults n 3 kids. 2 booster sits and 1 high chair. They had 2 adults with 2 teens and one kid. Its not the family fault with stole our seats. Its the employees who did check who party it really was. Whats the whole point of gathering names and numbers if you dont check if the information match. So to wrap the whole thing up. The male waiter was looking at us like it was our fault and gave off a vibe of just get over it. Im just asking for ownership from Cracker Barrel. No one said sorry we messed up smh. I understand people mess up but just own it.

Im not usually a fan of these type of restaurants but we wanted breakfast and most places had stopped serving by that time of day. We came here for a late breakfast/early lunch before heading home to New Jersey from UMass. Two of us opted for breakfast and one ordered lunch. Everything was good. I ordered the Eggs in a Basket. Surprisingly, yolks were nice and runny. Hard to do because Ive made them at home. The Hashbrown Casserole was a bit too heavy for my taste. I would have rather had regular home fries. My daughter got a burger and fries. She ordered the burger medium and it came out just right. The fries were steak fries, which I love. Not many places serve steak fries these days and opt for hand-cut. Our friend ordered French toast and bacon which she enjoyed. The coffee could have been stronger. Our server was very nice and service was fast but not rushed. Overall, good experience.

There was a wait to be seated at about 3:00 PM on a Saturday, but Im not sure why, given the terrible food. A member of our table ordered a salad that had to be sent back to the kitchen because there was a disintegrated piece of rotten lettuce that was sprinkled throughout the whole bowl and was blatantly obvious. The server replaced it quickly when sent back, and he did his job just fine for the rest of the meal. Otherwise, it was pretty terrible. The beet greens were really dry and the meat in it tasted like strips of dog jerky. I got fried catfish that was quite fishy and I regret not getting the spicy version, but I suspect it is hard to have catfish that isnt at least a little fishy. The fried okra was meh, and even though the kids liked the mac & cheese and pancakes, youd really have to go out of your way to not prepare them properly.

As usual the meal was great. Cracker Barrels are the same no matter where you go so you know you are getting pretty consistent service and food. They are a very family friendly establishment with country cooking. They also have an attached store with lots of interesting things to check out that you dont find many other places. If we are traveling we will almost always go to a Cracker Barrel if there is one nearby. You can also sit on the front porch on their rocking chairs and play giant checkers if you want to let your meal settle before leaving.

There are only two good things, and I mean ONLY TWO, that I can say about Cracker Barrel and they are: hash brown casserole and the Reuben sandwich platter . Other than that, its a waste of money and time. Plates and silverware are dirty. We had to request plastic-ware. I could see the film and food stuck to my glass of soda. We sat there for 15 minutes, and watched 3 servers walk right by us. Im not a reviewer that went there once and then decided I hated the place. I gave it a few times... and no improvement.

Arrived at this Cracker Barrel to find that at this location like most others people do not understand that if the parking has empty stalls in it they should use those parking stalls and leave the RV parking spots for people that are driving RVs. That aside the food was good, the service was friendly, and the price was reasonable. I had a spicy fish sandwich and it was really good. If you want to pay with other than cash here be ready to swipe, they do not have tap and pay, or chip dipping here.

We went to this restaurant today, we were very disappointed to learn that the menu has changed pretty much. There are no more hamburger choice lists in the menu, my husband always ordered cheese burgers as it was his favorite meal.. I had meat loaf...it was not great, as the flavor did not amuse me, the mashed potatoes tasted like made from the box. So we decided not to go back again as we used to love going there but we only love the nice stuff in the store anyhow.
