Great food and super busy. This is a small place and owner/manager has bad habit of reserving tables and having them empty for over 2 hours before people show up. Terrible idea on weekends. One of the customers at the bar and his wife complained about it and the manager dismissed him like he was crazy. We spoke up because we were at the bar next to them waiting for a table for 90 minutes and said we agreed (only two of us). There were 4-5 tables open the whole time. Both couples could have eaten and been gone before the reservation times posted on the tables. We tried to explain table turnover rates to the manager who seemed surprised that we agreed with the other couple and then dismissed us as well. Her response was "This is the way weve always done it."

My family LOVES the food - both at the meat counter and in the restaurant. Hard to believe that one of the reviewers did not get enough, because we always think there is more than enough food. And the price is right. Try going to any other place to get seafood and compare the price. My Mom orders the chicken salad sandwich every time we go and can only eat half of it. My big-city sister always orders the oysters - and especially likes their version of Oysters Rockefeller. My only warning would be if you do not like football, do not go during game time if you want a quiet setting as the bar and restaurant are in one room.

The cream of crab soup was amazing and their new stuffed ham sausage was so good too. If youre looking for something fancy, this is not the place. If youre looking for hometown - good cooking and a place where the locals go, this is your ticket. From the time we walked in the door, it was like we lived there. I could tell, they take a lot of pride in their business - they are a neighborhood pub, restaurant, meat counter, deli and grocery store. They serve people. We will definitely be back and will bring friends.

Chiefs Bar is a most unique establishment, unique being used in the most favorable light possible, as in one of a kind. Not many markets boast a great meat counter, but a post office, restaurant, and the friendliest neighborhood bar, as well. The food is wonderful... Fresh and superbly prepared, the portions are more than ample, and a reasonable check at the end of such a great meal makes it all worthwhile.

Great small town, local eatery and bar. Recently moved to the area and weve been hitting up Dents often. When you walk in you may not think much of the place, but the food is killer. Great seafood, and some of the best pizza in the area. Lacking in craft beer (last time we went, the only IPA they had was Flying Dog Snake Bite), but the food more than makes up for it.

Andy and David have done an outstanding job with the place. The food is simply breath taking. Their stuffed ham is the best Ive ever had and its not even close. Great place for lunch or dinner. Conveniently its also a bar/liquor store/ and grocery store all in one. Staff is always on the ball and have never had a single problem while eating here. A must try in St. Marys.

We always go to Chiefs when we are in town. We think the food is very good and the prices are really fair. It is casual, so if you like fancy, this is not the place. It is just a local place that has been in business for years. That says quite a bit. This will be the 3rd year in a row that we will have New Years dinner at Chiefs.

Well, I would be giving a lower rating if the quality of the food was bad. Well cooked food, crispy wings and fresh shrimp is the reason I granted three stars. I would have given a higher rating if the a decent amount of food was provided. Portions are paltry and cost is expensive.

Brilliant place. I have been here many times, food and service is amazing. Their stuffed ham is out of this world so too their crab soup. Great prices and Great location. Sometimes they run out of stuffed ham late day on weekend because its so popular. Go to Chiefs and enjoy.

If you want great food, cheap cold beer, and a friendly but "local" atmosphere then this is the place to go. Known for the stuffed ham (try it on a pizza, seriously), seafood, and the ribs. You really cant go wrong with any of it.
