Located in the lobby of an old hotel just makes this place harder to find, but worth it. The food was great selection there was decent where you could find something on the menu you could enjoy. The staff didnt tell us about specials kind of disappointed about that. But hey I didnt ask either. Drinks here are amazing we had mixed drinks and they are perfect especially for the price. And the beer selection wasnt bad but it isnt like 200+ specialty beers from across the region. Atmosphere was relaxed and the live jazz music just sold me on the place. The staff was nice, but they didnt wow anyone. No mentioning of the specials. And what irked me the most we asked for a table at 6, but had to settle for 5 and we were told they were fully booked. Being honest, from a chefs perspective. I was looking forward to a fine dining experience. But, what I found was very uninspired, quick to make, non-creative menu items, at fine dining prices. We ordered the baked brie with crostini. A mini wheel of brie baked with a tsp of delivered almonds, two bunches of grapes, a whole apple sliced, and a ciabatta hamburger bun (seriously), quartered and toasted, aka Cristina. $12, I think. The other app was the salmon carpaccio special. The salmon served was bought smoked, pre-sliced, frozen, and cryovaced. I know because Ive seen it a million times. They folded it in half, into squares, and put it on lettuce scraps with unrinsed capers and will sour cream. Embarrassing. We didnt order entrees, although the service and wine was order good.

I too have passed this Hotel many times and didnt realize the GEM of a restaurant that was inside. The food is EXCELLENT and the service couldnt have been more attentive. They even have a piano player quietly playing beautiful dinner music just to make the whole experience extraordinary. The hotel lobby is decorated beautifully for Christmas so as soon as you walk in you instantly feel like you just entered someplace very warm and special. The attention to details wasnt on me. I toured the whole place including the PUB which is super cozy and looks to be a great place for Happy Hour or to enjoy the company of friends/family. We WILL return and I highly recommend.

Very nice restaurant in front of quaint hotel. I think the whole facility is a remodeled former very large house in the heart of Mentor. Four of us had a very good dinner last Friday night. Easy to make reservations and our table was ready for us. Very good wine and cocktail menu. Several dinner specials along with their regular menu of dinner entrees and sandwiches. Service was very responsive and professional and the food was great. I especially loved their Short Ribs - very tender with full-bodied sauce. My only issue is that seating is a little tight and the room is very loud as it is not carpeted - hard to hear :(

Loved our experience at Skye Bistro. Our server was Armando, when you go you should ask for him. Very informative, very polite, very professional. We had the lobster mac and cheese, delicious and creamy and such a huge portion. We also had the prime rib, big, tender, cooked perfectly. For our third entree we chose the panko crusted grouper, it was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. We will definitely become regular customers. Great atmosphere, very cozy. Loved the piano/guitarist/singer while we ate. Not too loud, not too soft, just perfect!

Ive driven by here a million times but went in for the first time this week. I have been missing out! The service was fast, friendly and efficient even during a busy lunch rush. I had the bacon grilled cheese and sweet potato fries. Both were mouthwatering! My colleague had the salmon Caesar salad that she said was excellent (it looked wonderful). I will definitely have more business lunches there now that Ive found it and plan to check out the dinner and wine menus some evening very soon.

Very nice venue. I was there for a dinner party with my two year old. He was going absolutely bananas an the staff was very understanding. The venue is very nice. It reminds me of visits to Scotland which I suppose is reflected in the name. I didnt sleep there but we did have a suite for dressing and whatnot and that seemed very clean and comfortable.

Wonderful food - highly recommend. On some nights can be a little noisy. Went this past Mothers Day and the noise level was great, the food was great, service was great, waitress could be a little bit more friendly but still good.

This place is a hidden jem! Ive lived in the Mentor area my whole life and have only started coming here in the past year. Excellent food, quaint atmosphere. Armando is an outstanding server, he completes the experience.

Unexpectedly awesome. We almost didnt go in when we realized it was inside of a Best Western. Im glad that we stayed. The veal meatloaf and the crab cakes were both memorable dishes.

Stopping at Scooters is a tradition. A cold pop, a great hot dog & fabulous fries (huge plates of them!) topped off with a yummy ice cream cone! Always delicious!
