So disappointed with the service lately here. It has declined greatly over the last few months that we’ve been going. I’m not usually one to complain or write negative reviews, but something needs to be done about the terrible service at this restaurant or they’ll end up going out of business. They seem to constantly be understaffed which is a big part of the problem. The other part is that the staff doesnt seem like they were properly trained. About 2 months ago, we get to the restaurant and the young ladies who were hostesses sat us within a few minutes. We sat at our table for about 20 minutes and never had a server come over to us. All the tables around us had servers, and none of them bothered to ask if we had been helped either. We just got up and left. On the way out, we told the girls that they might want to make sure they’re seating people at tables that have servers. About two weeks ago, we ordered carry out. When we called it in, they said it would be ready in about 15 minutes. By the time we left to pick it up and actually got to the restaurant it had been over 15 minutes. They told us that the food wasn’t ready yet and it was going to be about 15-20 more minutes. Meanwhile the food was bagged and sitting right there. By the time we got home my food was cold and gross. I ended up throwing it out because I was so disgusted. This past weekend we wanted to go out to eat and thought we would give Cheeseburger and Paradise one last try on Sunday night. Needless to say we ended up leaving due to yet another terrible experience. The hostess had no clue what he was doing. He looked clueless and seemed like he did not want to be there. When we arrived there was a family of 6 in front of us, and when they asked how long he looked at the seating chart and was extremely hesitant when giving them a wait time. He looked like he was just pulling a random number out of his head. Then we walked up and he did the same thing to us. Looked at the seating chart, and said he thought it would be about 10-15 minutes with a lack of confidence (which to me meant it could be 10-15, or 20-25 but I don’t really know and I’m just going to pretend like I do). About 5 minutes later a family of about 7 shows up. They ask how long the wait is and the hostess said it would be like 20-25 minutes probably. The mother asks to put their name down, and he looks panicked because he didn’t get a name for our party or the party of 7 before us. He then asks us who was first, us or the party of 6. I said they were. So he asked them for a name and then asked us for a name. About 5 more minutes goes by and a father and son walk in, the hostess looks right at them, doesn’t greet them or say anything, and walks away. After waiting a few minutes, they ended up walking out and quite frankly I didn’t blame them. The hostess finally comes back and we said something to him about how it was rude that he completely ignored the father and son, and that they ended up leaving. And then we decided to leave ourselves because we’re just tired of the crappy service. I have never in my life been to a restaurant where the service just continues to get worse and worse. I’m writing this with the hopes that the restaurant management and/or owner will see it and make some much needed changes and actually train their staff correctly.

THE WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD. Its a shame the food is delicious, they should just make it a fast food place and eliminate the idea of service because there isnt any. I went to eat with my boyfriend on March 21, 2015. It must have been around 2:45-3:00. We waited a very long time for our waitress to stop by our table, which would be understandable if the restaurant was busy but more than half of the place was empty. We were also sat right by the bar which lends to the idea of a quicker wait time since we are in clear view of many employees, but that was not the case. The waitress stopped by our table to grab our drink order of two waters and bustled off. She then returned with our waters and said she couldnt take our order yet but that shell be right back, and she scurried off again. We waited even longer... finally she took our orders. I have a complicated order because I have food allergies and its not that Im picky, Im just allergic to dairy and gluten. I explained my order which was the moonshine burger, with no blue cheese and no bun, and if the fries could be gluten-free Id really appreciate it. She said no problem, and left. She didnt write down anything which was fine because most servers can handle the two modifications and the note about french fries so I didnt think much of it. Our food came out in a respectable time from when she took our order but since she took forever to take the order we were starving. She brings my boyfriend his food and says mine is right behind her. And guess what is placed before me, a bunless burger, gluten free fries, and about two fistfuls of blue cheese. I had to call her back since she was already off and explained that I cant eat cheese, I had told her this when she took my order. She muttered some sort of sorry and took my plate away. I got to watch my boyfriend eat his food and when he was about 3/4ths done with his meal I finally got my food. Which was served without silverware and without napkins. The manager was the one to bring the food slap it on the table in front of me and leave without getting silverware. I had to stop another server which stopped what he was doing to bring me a fork. There wasnt an attempt to discount my meal or try to rectify the situation. Our waitress checked back with us as I was halfway through my food and I asked for the check. She brought it to us by the time I was finished with my meal. But, I had to wait at least 5 minutes for her to run my credit card so we could leave. It was horrible how much we had to wait, how arrogant the manager was to us, or that they got my order wrong. It takes two seconds to write something down so that its right. If we had to wait for everything else its not like taking the time to get our simple order right would be too much for us to bear. Just awful experience, and what makes it worse is that the food was yummy. My burger was cooked beautifully and the fries were delicious, but Ill never go back because Im paying extra for good service at a restaurant, otherwise Ill just stay home and cook.

Im surprised this location had remained opened as long as it has after my most recent visit here. I always loved these restaurants and was sad to see their decline. I decided I would go out of my way and travel down to this location since it was still opened for one more chance to enjoy CIP. What a BIG disappointment! Service was downright AWFUL!!!! If I hadnt driven over an hour I would have walked out of this place and not even bothered. First we walk in the front door and wait by the hostess station for someone to seat us. Multiple employees seen us and just kind of stared at us or have us a look but no one ever spoke to us. It was extremely awkward and unwelcoming. The place was not busy by any means. When some young guy finally acted like we were inconveniencing him to be seated with some menus he took us to a booth when we asked for a table. I said can we please have a table again since they were ALL empty I didnt think it be a problem. He looked around like he had to find one available?! I pointed to the one right near the booth and said ... uhhh how about this one? He was like ... "Oh ... ok sure. Kitchen closes in 20 minutes so you had better hurry up." This kitchen closing early thing is total BS too!!! PUT IT ON YOUR WEB SITE AND MENU!!!!! Make it more noticeable so we wont even bother. It is printed off to the far side of the front door in barely noticeable small print on the window that the kitchen closes before the restaurant actually does. PLEASE!! You make burgers for crying out loud!! How hard is it to grill a burger after 9 PM. NONE of the other CIP restaurants I had ever been to did this. Very curt and rude waitress. The only redeeming factor was the food. At least the food was as good as I remember it. Im sad to say friends that I think this location may be the next CIP casualty. I cant fathom them staying open long if this is how they do business. I really wish it wasnt this way. I really wish someone would wise up and steer this ship back on course. This place has rude, unfriendly, and incompetent idiots working in the restaurant. Paradise lost my friends.
