service is top notch. Small. Adequate parking. Succumbs to the local proclivity to only offer tortillas on request and even then only a couple. Theyve never charged me for "mas tortillas". Everything Ive had is good. Kind of a lighter Tex Mex style. Not California/Colorado health Mex. Frequently has Spanish speaking patrons. They do have a kids menu for those kids that will only eat hicken nuggets or burgers, but its not great. Ive found a couple other places that are about as good, for instance they now have a sister restaurant (same staff and menu) in Waugh chapel shopping center. Sin fronteras is good for Spanish fare, el cabrito is more of a luncheonette. This one and its sister are good sit down places adequate for work outings and family events.

I recently moved here from Texas, and I gotta say, this is good Mexican food! The location doesnt seem like much from the outside, but the inside feels very cozy and clean (including the bathroom). The waiter was fast, friendly, and attentive. The food came out quickly and tasted GREAT! As an aside, I ordered queso, and the waiter (Mexican) looked surprised and asked, "you mean white cheese dip?" My wife and I had to chuckle at that ... I suppose it makes sense that the average demographic in Maryland wouldnt know what queso is by name. :) In any event, although the prices of the dishes were a bit higher than I would expect, the quality definitely made up for it. Ill be coming back here when Im in the area.

The drinks, queso, and salsa were excellent. Everything fell apart when I received my meal. I had the chef special - marinated chicken breast topped with Mexican Sausage and some type of cheese sauce. The chicken breast serving size was paper thin and tough as cardboard, as far as the marinade it tasted freezer burnt. The only good thing on the plate was the few crumbs of Mexican sausage. For the money $15.99, I would have expected a full and tender chicken breast, not 15% of a freezer burnt chicken. As for the rice it had no flavor, and refried beans are always the same bland. My advice dont venture past the Fajitas at this stop.

I dont understand the low ratings from some people, this place is fantastic. No exaggeration, the best beef enchiladas Ive ever had in my life. The beef burrito and chicken tamale were delicious too and Ive never before eaten a tamale I actually enjoyed. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, service was quick, I would literally have to try and dig for stuff to complain about. Like maybe the seats could be nicer? I dunno, its not a michelen star restaurant, but it does have delicious and affordable Mexican and Latin cuisine, and I honestly dont have a negative thing to say about this fantastic little gem.

Great Atmosphere, good service and wonderful food! We were greeted immediately and seated. Our waiter was happy&smiling and kept up on our table. The complimentary chips & salsa were fresh and delicious. They kept us stocked up when we were low on them. Dinner only took about 10 minutes to cook after ordering. We had 2 huge burritos that were worth the money. Queso cheese is so good and does cost a few dollars extra but again, worth it. We had 1 strawberry margarita and 1 beer poured into a chilled glass. The bill was $58 total and worth each dollar for all the food and drinks we had. Will definitely go again!

My first time at the restaurant was with a large group and the experience and food were quite good. Unfortunately, when I went a second time I made an honest mistake of bringing an outside beverage in with me. I was met with rudeness and upon trying to amend the issue by disposing of the beverage I was kicked out in a very public display of poor manners by the owner himself. Food is good but not worth that kind of treatment in front of loved ones

Not so much the food, but the way my husband and l were treated when we tried to go eat there earlier this evening. When two other parties were sat before we were and because of my husbands size our seating preference was never asked, we walked out. The host called my husband "El Gordo". I walked back to let him know l was NOT pleased. We have frequented the restaurant since it opened, but will not be back.

I work next door to this place and I gotta say, Im baffled at all the positive reviews mi casita has recieved. This place is absolutely disgusting. Every night you can see dozens of roaches crawling out from under their door. I made the mistake of ordering carry out from there once and immediately regretted it. It was horribly overpriced and mostly inedible. I ended up throwing it away.

Not a chain restaurant! Small, busy yet personal ambiance. Our waiter, Layo was great. Food was great. Ihe Fahita taco was delicious. A lot of restaurant entrees have the same flavor throughout. Not the case here. Everything tasted delicious and unique. We are from Northern VA and just passing through to Annapolis. Would love to have this restaurant in our hone town.

There arent a lot of authentic Mexican restaurants in the entire DMV. That being said I grew up in an area where there were a lot of Mexican food options and this place is near the top of my list. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food comes out fast and everything on the menu is delicious. Only gets marks off because not a huge fan of the chips and salsa.

As a California native on the east coast, Ive had a hard time looking for what I consider to be authentic tasting Mexican food. That being said, Mi Casita is the closest to authentic on the border Mexican food that I can find on the east coast. The prices are good and they *edit used to sell horchata*. This is home cooking away from home for me.

Although the food was decent, the awful service and unreasonable prices left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I was there an hour and had to make multiple attempts to flag down wait staff just to refill a drink. Add to that the fact thay the food was barely warm when it arrived. If you look, Im very generous with my reviews. This time, I couldnt be.

The furniture was bright the food was very flavorful and I know they mashed their beans themselves so that just shows to me the authenticity in their recipes. I had some delicious enchiladas. The decor is bright and a little cliche but dont let it make you think this place is subpar. This is where Im going from now on.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to this restaraunt! Tucked away in a small strip center at the intersection of Routes 450 and 424 in Crofton. Pleasant atmosphere, good mexican food, and ample portions for the money. This will be my go to place at least once a week. I recommend it highly!

Im so angry with myself for not having come here sooner! The pozole and carnitas are amazing. The pork just pulls apart and then melts in your mouth. Plus the verde sauce on the burrito gordo is so great. The chilies are so tasty. Seriously, definitely gonna be coming back.

My husband and I have tried about every Mexican place we can in the area, and yet we keep coming back to Mi Casita. The food is consistently very good, the staff is always friendly, and the decor is fun. None of those things can be found at nearby La Fiesta.
