I went to Urban BBQ on Friday, January 13th. It was early lunch and I really wanted a large unsweetened iced tea. They had a huge pot near the drink section, so I ordered one. When I went to fill up my cup, the pot only had about 1/4 cup of iced tea left in the pot. I went to the counter and told them, they said they had no one to make the iced tea. I asked for my money back and they didnt want to give it to me. It was $2.12, for about 2 ounces of iced tea. She gave me a very hard time about giving me my money back. Customer service is very important, and I WILL NOT be back to get anything from Urban BBQ in Lanham, MD. I also told everyone in our office, and they will not be back to Urban BBQ either.

Holy f*** you gotta go here!! Im sitting here at the restaurant writing this because I normally forget later but this place is so good I have to make sure I get a review in. Service with a smile, courteous, fast, thanked me for the tip; food tastes like it was made by a chef - prep/appearance made me take a picture and send to my friends, mark it in google maps. had urban legend chili, it was tender meat, cut in cubes like a pro. son had pulled pork and he loved it (and kids are picky and dont lie); atmosphere cozy, like chipotle but roomier and brighter. Near cool stuff like Target, a barber, and Home Depot. Dont you dare pass it up - nice location, great parking.

The food is pretty good here. Not the best bbq in the world, but it gets the job done. The Soul Rolls are a stand out. Its egg rolls, but filled with brisket and cheese, and served with a chili and melted cheese "fondue". It is a heart attack waiting to happen, but so worth it. The staff isnt always the most friendly, but oh well. Also the air conditioning and heating is crappy. It is always hot inside in the summer and freezing in the winter. They should work that out because Ill specifically not go on hot days. Overall though its pretty good bbq for the area and price.

I went to this place around today, Sept 22 @ 7:15pm after work, I was gonna use the restroom before I order my food. A young lady aproach me and stated, the bathroom is for customers only and I ask her how do know am not a customer. I proceeds towards the mens room and she enter the restroom with me, grab my hands trying to stop me from using the restroom, I decided to leave and use the Chipotle next door restroom. So am going file a lawsuit against Urban Bar-B-Q. Get ready for my lawyer and young lady, I will teach you a lesson about Customer service.

The food was great... Wife and I enjoyed it tremendously. We both got the 2 meat bar-b-que sampler. We did just that sample. I had the pulled chicken, chicken Sriracha sausage, potatoes salad and collard greens. She had the pulled pork, ribs , Cole slaw and fresh cut fries... lets not forget the homemade cornbread and fesh brewed sweet tea. It all was absolutely amazing... spoken from a home cook herself. WILL VISIT AGAIN! BTW cant forget the excellent customer service and no long wait!

Absolutely amazing. I ordered the honey dragon wings with mac and cheese and greens with corn bread on the side. It was sooo good that I ordered an extra 2 quarts of the greens to take home for the family. Tjw mac and cheese was ok...ive had better but everything else was simply amazing. My friend ordered the pull pork sandwhich with baked beans. The beans were so good. Not your traditional baked beans but i did like their take on them. I would eat here every night if i could!

This is the 2nd time I came. 1st time got home cut fries, on point with seasonings! Ate them alone. It drew me back tonight tried wings, was really hopefully they would be as good as fries. Missed the mark a little but still good taste on sauces. If wings were seasoned up more without sauce would given 4 stars. Maybe next time, service was good. Place was very clean and comfortable. Worth coming and trying something new.

I had their food once. I got a kids meal with pulled BBQ chicken and Mac-n-cheese. The portions were fairly large and the food was good. However, I got sick later that day. I dont eat pork and I wonder if chicken may have come into contact with something that touched the pork. Im not sure. Even though the food was good, I will not take that chance and eat there again.

I love the food but the Bowie location is the worst. They actually dont want customers. I arrived at 8:45 and they arent scheduled to close until 10:00. The lights were off and nobody was there to help me. Finally someone came from the back and told me they were preparing to close by turning off lights. Just didnt seem like they wanted anymore business.

The mac n cheese was good! I ordered a pulled pork sandwich combo. Once I got home and examined my sandwich, the bread had green mold on the bottom. Called back to the store and I was told that the bread was fresh, so I drove back to show the manager. They gave me another sandwich and asked if I wanted an extra side. Probably wont return.

I ordered their version of a taco salad and it was disappointing. How are they gonna charge $10 for iceberg lettuce? It needs to be mixed greens for that price. Also the tortilla noodles were stale and the pulled chicken was over cooked. The only thing bumping was the salad dressing and their version of Root beer.

I ordered a sandwich and some fries. The fries were hot, like they just pulled them out of the fryer, the sandwich was only mediocre. The bun was dry but the pulled pork was fine. I found that the sauces that they had were really watery and did not enjoy them.

Service was awful. Very unapologetic about getting my order wrong. I had to drive back to pick up the food that they did not get just be met by rude workers. Very unpleasant way of spending money. Food looked pretty good though.

Ordered a sandwich around 11:30 ... Brisket was like warm as if it was leftover and bread was a few degrees from being an ice cube. On the positive, the fries were hot, but thats not going to encourage me to come back.

Solid portions and tasty meats make this place worth it. Service is great too. The pulled pork can be a bit salty sometimes but the flavor is on point. In a place with few BBQ joints, Urban BBQ is getting it done.

Placed an order for dining area never heard my name called. They must have only called my name once.Order was on the counter for 15 minutes until I checked on it !!!
