Found the reviews online and went to this Official BBQ tonight. There were 2 of us we arrived at 7:15 and put in our order, there were about 3 tables with people there, not real busy. I put in my order pd my 37.00 for me and my daughter. Around 8:20 an oriental family walked in and sat down. There were 4 people behind us waiting for their food as well. People were getting angry. We had a tough day and just wanted to relax. 8:30 comes along and the server comes out and hands the oriental family their food. BUT wait, they just got there, Id been there an hour and people behind me were getting pissed. Server walks out again and calls my name, again he goes to the table with the oriental family and hands them more food. Im thinking wait, he must know these people or they called ahead. I walk up to the counter and let the guy know Im Sandy and have been waiting over an hour. He tells me to wait. Comes out and has my ticket reviewing my order then says, why did those people take your order??. DAH. Long and short of it, we waited another 25 minutes. The oriental family has eaten our meal, my kid is so embarrassed and hungry and we are so uncomfortable. They lock the doors because they close at 8. We still wait and then he comes out with our order in bags, saying he gave us an extra corn bread $1.29.. WOW. So the bags are for us to grab and go, we came to enjoy a meal at the table and this whole experience was BAD. The guy behind the counter messed up big time. The oriental people were just rude and devoured a meal they certainly knew they did not order. I tell the server, hey, wait, you need to compensate this error. He goes and gets an old man who comes out and asks me what i want. I say, compensate my dinner, at least you could do that after a hour and 25 min wait. He reluctantly says he will do it. He ends up comping my meal for less than I paid and I have to leave. I drove there 25 min to try this place. So now it 8:45 and I have to drive back to Shiremanstown. We get home and pull out food and I ll be a son of a b&*(&tch they shorted us a sandwich. Yeh it was almost free BUT what if I hadnt asked for the comp. I rate this place a 1 on Service out of 10. I will say the food was good. But how long does it take to scoop out mac n cheese and slice some brisket? Terrible service..

Found this gem looking up BBQ spots online traveling to NC from NY. A little pricey but the servings are HUGE so we could have shared! BBQ was amazing. Kids raved about the mac & cheese being best theyd ever had. Sandwiches, wings, and ribs...all were good. Fries were tasty just over cooked (we were there close to closing time). Potato Salad was the only less than average side but were from NC so not the kind were used to. Theyve also got ice cream just disappointed they were out of Black Cherry. Extremely clean from bathrooms to dining room and the scenery around it makes for a nice pit stop off the interstate. Friendly staff and engaging owner added to the experience. Definitely recommend trying if youre in the area.

Excellent food. Ribs were tender and juicy not dry. Sides very good, cornbread with honeybutter a must. Mac and cheese made with white cheddar for refreshing change of pace. Beans not your typical baked beans but rather a tangy mix of different beans. Pulled pork sandwich was generous and moist. Smoked wings delicious with mild spicy after taste. Service was courteous. Rated four stars because I have not been to the renowned BBQ. Restaurants in Kansas City, Texas or elsewhere so not sure I should be rating things 5 stars given my limited BBQ. Experience. Overall very satisfying BBQexperience.

After 25 years in Atlanta, I get serious cravings for good southern-style BBQ! This vinegar-based BBQ was not what Im used to but it was flavorful. I tried the pulled pork sandwich which was piled high with savory que, but the bottom of the bun was soggy and hard to hold. The mac & cheese did not disappoint and even the small size was a good portion! Almost as important as the food is the iced tea which was right on point. Two suggestions: post descriptions of the various sauces that are available so patrons dont need to ask, and put some better glides on the chair legs!

I have loved every single thing I have tried here EXCEPT the baked beans. There are PEPPERS in them!!! Ewww...gross!!! Totally disgusting in my book. Never expected that in baked beans. However, there are plenty of other items from which to choose to satisfy your hunger. If you walked out of there hungry, you have only yourself to blame as their portions are worth the price. I am completely head over heels for their pulled pork. Going there for lunch in just a little while. My mouth is watering with anticipation. I see fresh cut fries in my near future as well.

Stopped in after the Pennsylvania Christmas Gift and Craft show in Harrisburg. The owner was there and we told him it was our first time there. He chatted with us, gave us a brief history of the business, and then went over the menu. We had Grandmas chili, Brisket sandwich with horseradish, home made fries, and fresh brewed tea. Everything was delicious. Everything tasted homemade and fresh. Resturant was very clean and spacious. Next time we are out there we will stop in for some tasty BBQ. Great job guys!

Great BBQ and the fries are to die for. If you love Birch Beer and have a hard time finding it, its here! Their brisket sandwich is packed full of juicy cuts of tender and flavorful brisket topped with their homemade BBQ sauce and you dont pay an arm and a leg for the food. They also serve wings and ribs that are full of meat and flavor and never dry. Its the only place my wife and I go for our BBQ fix.

Really like this place! The food tastes great and the portions are very large. I was tempted to get the large pulled pork, but the regular was more than enough for me! If you get the fries, plan on splitting them because it is a large order. Really like their sauces and is one of the better BBQ places in the area. Only downside is that someones pretty packed at lunch, but still worth the wait!

Horrible bbq,de verdad que me arrepentí haber llevado allí mi familia, la mala experiencia que quedó fue desastrosa, pobre atención y mal sabor desde la entrada hasta la comida.

Consistently delicious food. Very good value, clean, friendly servers and staff. Recent change in ownership has made no difference so far in quality and quantity of portions. Best pulled pork, beef brisket and burgers you will find anywhere! Their fries are the best Ive ever had, and thats saying something! But I mean it, they are so crisp and seasoned perfectly.

We had turkey and pork BBQ sandwiches. Good smokey taste but not overpowering and the portions were substantial on the regular sandwich. We were split on favorite sauce. Bother traditional and Carolina sauces were great. Good tang and the right amount of spice. Regular size fries feed 2-3 and they were good and crispy. Great value. Would go back.
